*Teach her a Lesson*

Chapter 6

Andre's POV:

The harsh knock on the door woke me up, only to find out that it was 11 am and I was late for work.

"Shit," I mumbled. My head was still swiveling from the event of last night. I soothed it with my fingers to relieve the pain. I looked down at myself, I was nude with all my clothes off, and all over the place. How and when did I take them off? I had no idea.

It took enough effort to get up from the floor and the first thing I did was to put on fresh clothes before coming back to the mess. I made sure to stay clear of the broken bottles. There was a repeated knock on the door and this time it was accompanied by Stanley's voice.

"Good morning Sir." He greeted.

I didn't bother to respond and went ahead to open the door for him.

The moment I opened the door, I flooded him with questions.

"Did you just arrive now? It's 11 am, Stan, how do you expect to get paid if you want to work for me like this?"

"Uhmm... Boss, I've been here since 7:30," he stuttered, startled by my sudden behavior.

"--If you don't believe me, you can confirm. I came here quite a few times to knock and I noticed you were asleep. Since you don't have a full schedule today, I decided to let you rest." His eyes shifted to the mess on the floor behind me and I blocked him with my form, "What are you looking at?" I asked, glaring at him sharply. He instantly switched his gaze to me.

"Should I help you clean?" He asked to have me open the door wide and go back to rest on my bed. My back ached from spending so many hours on the floor.

Seeing how tired I looked, probably made Stanley worry, "Sir, how do you feel? Should I get you pain relief?" He said with concern laced in his voice.

"I'm fine, clean up quickly and get me breakfast, I haven't had anything since last night."

"Yes, Sir."

After eating, I asked Stanley if he found anything about that girl and he shook his head with a disappointed face, I made sure to put him off duty and with so much pressure until he was able to find something about her.

******

In the next five days, Stanley had managed to find something about that girl and I was all set, prepared to meet up with her.

Stanley already went to the car before me, taking my bag with him.

I waddled down the stairs, ignoring my stepmother who was sitting on the sofa in the middle of the room, writing something I didn't bother about.

"Where are you going?" Elizabeth asked which had me turn to her pissed off, "When did you care if I went out?" I inquired.

"I don't care about you, I just don't want you to bring shame to our family. She brought out two packs of prophylactics from her purse and my eyes followed her until she strode to where I was and stood in front of me, fixing them in my pocket with a look of disgust on her face.

"I was going to give these to your father but he's already left. You and your father are cut from the same cloth, I can't believe it. Be sure to use these if you decide to engage in any inappropriate behavior."

I was not going to do that today, at least not with that little thug, Vanessa.

"The alliance with the former minister's family is too important to risk. Think of what they would say if they found out that Chris's son is a male wh**e who cannot keep to himself, always going around with different women, which girl will agree to marry you then?"

"Don't monitor my life, it's creepy. And you should know that I would never get married to the minister's daughter, last time I met her, that b**ch was snorting like a pig. She's not my kind of woman." I shrugged.

She fixed me with a stern look, her eyes flashing with anger.

"If you won't marry her, don't tell it to me, tell it to your father let's see if he agrees with your decision." She scoffed.

"I will in time,"

"You think you have a choice? You are nothing without your father's wealth and influence. He may have made a mistake by marrying your liability of a mother in the first place, I wouldn't let you do the same not because I love and care for you," She continued to keep a vicious smile as she spoke in a low tone.

I clenched my fists, feeling anger boil inside me.

"Having you and Louisa here already taints the family blood and I have to bear with it. We can't have more of these hobos in the family, our social life will be destroyed!" She clamored, Practically pulling her hair.

"If I'm nothing without father's wealth, what do you think you are? You've clung unto him all these years like a zombie all because of his wealth too, isn't it? I still remember how the chairman knelt in front of my father so that he could marry you, knowing your family was going bankrupt back then, stepmother."

"You have a sharp tongue for a boy who was born from a nameless woman. Well, at least my family was smart enough to skyrocket high, not bringing shame to your father. My high schooler remains better than you, Andre." She smirked as she talked proudly about her daughter, Leila.

"You should leave so you won't be late for your event." She said, forcing a smile on her face. She jabbed the list aggressively, almost tearing the paper, and then stomped on the stairs.

I watched her leave and then shook my head. I don't know what my father saw in this woman that made him agree to marry her. She is a witch.

******

On the way, Stanley filled me in on the details about the girl and her family and then he handed me her phone with the screen repaired.

The driver took a U-turn from the main road into a shabby-looking street with all the houses alike. Painted in old and dull colors and soon he stopped in front of the worse house in the street. Stanley took no time in going to call her out while I waited out of the car.

"How did you know where I live?!" She asked the moment she walked to where I was. I could see the panic in her eyes as she confronted me. It was clear that she was taken aback by my knowledge of her whereabouts. There must be a lot running through her little brain right now with the way her eyes bulge almost like they were going to pop out from the socket.

"Stanley found it out." I look over to my assistant who was standing by the car and her eyes followed me.

"You don't seem like you want your phone back. Maybe you didn't value it as much as I thought."

"I do."

"You didn't call me, even after having my card for over a week, you'd be running to me first if it had any value, making me think if I should I done something more," I said, rubbing my temples for a short while. "Oh well, I'm here now." I dipped my hands in my pocket, "if you're ready, come with me to the car, and then we can discuss,"

"I don't trust you, I'm not going." She said and turned to leave. She was stubborn and perhaps she hasn't learned a good lesson yet, I held her hand, and before she could react, and pulled her with me to the car, pushing her inside and entering after her, slamming the door shut.

"Quit acting stubborn, you don't know what I can do to you, I'm more dangerous than you think," I warned.

"Yeah? You're more dangerous??" She asked back, I monitored her as her eyes roamed around, searching for something, and didn't expect her to pick my laptop from Stanley's sit, she lifted it above her head with tension growing in her as she stuttered.

"Don't- don't come close, I swear I'll slam this thing on the ground." She threatened.

"Hey, put that down, do you know how much it cost." Was she used to breaking things?

"I don't care, I'll smash it just like I did your windscreen." She had a bitter smile on her face and the expression on her face was serious, she didn't look like she was joking.

"What is wrong with you?!" I yelled at her.

"I should ask you that, what is wrong with you?! I told you to stay away from me, I won't pay for your car, not your stupid ring too, because you deserve it." Seeing her talk so much, I quickly caught the laptop from her but she wasn't ready to let go which led to both our heads hitting hard against each other as I struggled to take it from her. Shit, it gave me a headache.

She rubbed the small bump that had come to form on her forehead while I managed to release my laptop from her hold, "Ahhh!" She freaked out, looking at her hand, there was a small mark on her head which oozed blood and it agitated her, the damned girl pounced and suddenly attacked me and I shove the laptop behind my back, "Why did you do that???!" She yelled, ruffling and pulling my hair hard, I retaliated by pulling hers that had her scream so loud, that I wouldn't leave until she let me go first. She was the craziest woman I ever encountered and I hope to get rid of her soon after showing her her place.

"What the heck!!! Leave me," she yelled.

"Get off me, ugly duckling." I cursed. She quickly moved away when she realized she was sitting on top of me in a very uncomfortable position for both of us. Her eyes wandered everywhere except meeting my gaze, perhaps she was too embarrassed?

"Uhmm-I, stay away from me, I don't have any money to give you... Don't stalk me around, I swear I'll report you to the police the next time I find you close to me." She threatened.

"Do you think I want to be in the same space as you? You ruined my car and you have to pay for it."

"You're here with another one today, use this one, and I promise to be as far away as possible from you." She said, putting her hands together to beg me.

"You are not allowed to go far away from me until I get my money,"

"Great news! I'm unemployed, good luck with forcing the money out of my hands."

"You work at Taylor's kitchen," I reminded.

"For a rich guy, you're so dumb. I lost my job because of you, remember? You don't? I don't have time for this." She said with a frown on her face, proceeding to open the door but I locked all the doors at once by operating it from my end.

"You can't leave just yet." I stretched my fingers to the front seat, bringing out an envelope and handing it to her. She took it from me with frowned brows and questioned what was in the envelope. If she wanted to see the content, she had to open it, I won't tell her what it is...

"What is inside?" The troublemaker asked to get no response from me. She tore the envelope open recklessly, her eyes scanning through the content in a minute, not sure if she read through it properly, and the next thing which followed was a shattering sound from the paper she tore into pieces, littering the car with it.

"Rubbish. You haven't learned your lesson, have you? Maybe this time I should aim at one of your eyes. Who gives out court orders these days?" She complained, laughed a little with a sneer, "You're suing me? You wish." She asked, pointing at herself.

"It's not a joke. You have two weeks to find your lawyer and appear in court else you'll face the penalty from the law." She looked at me with her face telling, “Unbelievable,”

"I never knew spoilt brats could be this petty."

"Petty?" I asked back, "I can be more of that, I'll make sure your ex-con of a brother doesn't get a proper job, ever, and then you'll have to settle your landlord sooner than you expect, let's see what's left to treat your mother." For a moment she looked dumbfounded with her mouth opened in awe, probably thinking how I know so much about her.

"How did you know so much about my family? You're crazy,"

"I always do my homework, pompom. Want to know how much more I know? Test me."

We both glared at each other but she glared harder, almost daggering me with her eye before looking away.

"I promise I won't spare your family once I begin with you. I'll make sure your good-for-nothing brother never gets out of jail this time and the good thing is that it would be a family reunion as you would be joining him." I smiled darkly.

"You have just two weeks. Oops, you tore your copy. Go find a lawyer, explain yourself to him, let's see if he can help you, or better still, find a job and prepare my money, I'll be back for it." I passed her phone to her, "Take it." I ordered the moment I noticed she was reluctant.

I knocked on the window once and then Stanley opened the door for her from the outside.

For once, I had gotten to her as she became as calm as the sea, walking carefully out of my car.

"Don't ignore my calls when I do call you," I yelled to her hearing but didn't get the usual talk back. She just walked back to her house with her head down.

I was already pissed off when Stanley and the driver got in and the driver immediately started the engine. On the way, I called on Stanley's attention. "Stan, get the lawyers prepared, if she's not ready to settle, we'll have to settle in court," I said to get no response from him.

After a while, he turned behind, "Sir, don't you think you're going too far to call for a lawsuit?"

"Why Stan? You don't believe in me?" my lips curled into a sinister smile, "I have such competent lawyers Stan, and they need exercise from time to time."

"Why would you waste your time and money on such a meaningless woman? I do not believe she has that much to pay you, her family doesn't look like they earn that much in a year."

"I want to teach her a lesson. She should have known that when she messed with the wrong person." it was just a small prank and she had to overreact by ruIning my car and selling off my ring without an apology.
