Chapter 5

Aisyah wiped her tears, then she left the room. However, her face still looked very puffy. The woman saw that her mother-in-law was sitting on the floor holding her legs.

Aisyah immediately panicked when her mother-in-law's leg was injured and bleeding.

"Oh my God! Mother is injured," said Aisyah frantically.

She squatted in front of her mother-in-law, then Mrs. Lisa quickly slapped her face and then grabbed her hijab, making Aisyah wince a little.

"You ignorant daughter-in-law! Can't you clean this house, hah! You see! Because of you my feet are injured!" shouted Mrs. Lisa while pushing Aisyah's body until she hit the wall.

"Aawwh!" Aisyah cried when she felt her shoulder hit the wall, and it hurt so much.

"Sorry ma'am, Aisyah didn't have time to clean it up earlier," answered Aisyah.

"You don't need to talk too much! Help me sit down and quickly sort it all out!" Mrs. Lisa snapped.

Then Aisyah helped her mother-in-law sit on a chair, then she took water and first aid medicine and treated the wound. After that, she cleaned up the broken glass that her husband had thrown.

Aisyah didn't have time to sort it out, because she immediately chased Andre into the room to ask about his relationship with Putri.

Andre had just come out of the room with neat and fragrant clothes. The man looked so handsome, then he looked at his mother who was grimacing while holding the soles of her feet.

"Oh, what's wrong with Mother? How come her leg is injured?" Andre asked slightly.

"How come you didn't get hurt, look at your wife! She's so inept at taking care of the house, she didn't clean up the broken glass. Look, your leg got injured. Ouch!" Mrs. Lisa groaned while looking sharply at Aisyah who was cleaning up the glass.

Andre looked very angry, then he walked towards Aisyah and grabbed her hand. "You've hurt my mother. Aren't you good at taking care of the house, huh!" Andre pushed Aisyah's body until the woman fell to the floor, and her head hit the edge of the table and was injured.

"That's what broke you, bro, but I haven't had time to fix it," Aisyah answered.

"Halah! There's no need to blame other people. Listen! Like it or not, and whether you like it or not, I will still marry Putri. And I will take her to live here, understand! Oh, and one more thing, you are my wife who doesn't know himself! Brings bad luck. I thought marrying you would make me rich, but apparently not." Andre threw Aisyah's face, causing the woman to immediately glare at him.

"Sorry, bro, what do you mean? Did you marry me just because of wealth?"

Hearing this, Andre chuckled, "What do you think I married you for? Love? Hello... just look at your appearance, it's so old-fashioned, and you're so ugly now. Who wants to marry you? Luckily you're not pregnant yet, so I don't have descendants and ties to you, understand!" Andre kicked Aisyah's leg hard, then he left the house.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Lisa just stared sarcastically at her daughter-in-law. "You heard what Andre said! You have been removed from your family. If you don't live here, where will you live? So you should just obey us, understand!"

Aisyah didn't answer, she headed towards the kitchen with a slight limp, because Andre had kicked her in the calf bone.

The woman sat at the dining table while wiping her tears. She didn't expect that Andre had never loved her all this time, and had only married her because of his wealth.

'Mah, Dad, I'm sorry Aisyah for never listening to what you said. It turns out it's true what Mama and Papa said, that Mas Andre is not a good man. He married me only for money. I'm sorry Aisyah Mah, Dad,' the woman thought, feeling guilty for not listening to what her parents said.

She thought that her parents had forbidden Aisyah to marry Andre, just because Andre was from a lower class. But it turns out that parents' feelings are never wrong.

Now Aisyah really regrets it, because she chose Andre rather than listening to advice from her parents. And this is karma for her as a disobedient child, so Aisyah has to go through it all and get through it strongly.

The woman wiped her tears, she had cried enough about all the pain she had experienced. She didn't want to give her tears anymore, only to cry for a man like Andre.

.

.

Today is the day Andre and Putri will get married. The event was held very lively in the village because Putri was also very adamant about marrying Andre, even though her parents knew that Andre already had a wife.

However, in the village it is customary to have two or three wives, as long as the man is able to support them.

"I accept Princess Astrianingsih's marriage and marriage, with the dowry paid in cash," replied Andre, saying qobul.

"How are the witnesses, valid?"

"Legitimate."

Aisyah closed her eyes as she watched her husband's wedding. The woman walked out of the magnificent house in the village, leading her bicycle to peddle her wares again.

Tears seemed dry and could no longer drip. Her heart was very hurt by the treatment of Andre and his in-laws.

Aisyah still remembers the smiles on Andre's and Mrs. Lisa's faces when the wedding took place. They look so very happy.

'If he is the one you love and he is the one you want, I'm sincere, bro.' Aisyah thought.

After her merchandise sold well, Aisyah returned home. She didn't cook lunch, because the woman knew Andre was there and she only fried eggs for herself.

Aisyah intends to stay with Andre, even though she knows it hurts, but the woman will try first. If she really can't afford it, then Aisyah will ask Andre to divorce her.

.

.

That evening Aisyah had just finished praying the evening prayer, and suddenly the door to her room opened. The woman looked and it turned out that in the doorway there were Putri and Andre.

"What are you doing here?" Aisha asked.

"So what? This is my room, and you're just staying here. You pack your things and move to the next room! Because Putri and I will sleep here," said Andre.

"Sir, you can't do that. I'm your first wife, while she's your second wife, so---"

"Don't ever deny what I said, Aisyah! Pack your things and move to the next room!" Andre said in a shouting tone as he pushed Aisyah's body.

The woman clenched her fists under her robe, then she got up from her seat and packed her clothes, then moved to the next room.

"Did you hear that? People who have stolen other people's happiness will never have a prosperous life. And no good woman is willing to marry someone else's husband, let alone steal him, you understand!" Aisyah said in a cold tone as she just passed Putri.

She didn't care about the sharp gazes from honey and her husband. Aisyah immediately went into the room and locked the door. She sat on the bed while looking at the photo of her parents which she kept in her bag.
