"Miss Nash, can you tell us about your relationship with the Jones family? Do you know that you are the real daughter of the Jones family?"
"Miss Nash, have you heard about Adrian and Dorothy's engagement?"
"Jessica, is your winning the Best Actress award related to Mr. Bower or the Jones family?"
The flashlights blinded my eyes, and the journalists almost stuffed their microphones into my mouth.
I stood still, silently watching Adrian drape a suit jacket over Dorothy, his arms gently encircling her frail shoulders, carefully escorting her into the car.
FI was overwhelmed by tons of questions from journalists, but no one was there to handle them for me, nor did anyone care about my feelings.
Fortunately, it wasn't long before my agent and assistant, having received the news, pushed through the crowd and finally rescued me from this turmoil.
Before getting into the car, I responded to the question that had been repeated countless times. "It was just a joke from start to finish. No need to take it seriously."
As my words ended, the journalists still pursued relentlessly.
My assistant stepped on the gas, leaving behind those who kept pressing me for some juicy gossip.
