Chapter 1

ZURI POV

Hi! My name is Zuri Keller 19 years old. I didn't finish college because I didn't have the money to spend there.

I don't recognize a mother or a father because my grandmother Emilia raised me, unfortunately she passed away seven months ago. grandma Emi said that my mom left me outside her house without saying anything, if she hadn't seen the letter from mom on my bed sheet, she wouldn't have accepted me because she didn't have any money to spend on me. .

When my grandmother was still alive, we used to sell vegetables together and we would really go around the whole place with us just to make sales.

That's why my expenses are not enough every day because I also have to pay for electricity and water which is really a problem for me. But just last night my aunt Ashley, 25 years old, called me my aunt on my mother's side. She is only young because she is the youngest of grandma Emilia's six children while I am the daughter of her eldest Colly. My Aunt called me last night to say that the Go's are willing to hire a new Maid and she let me in, well who am I to say no?

"Uhm... Aunt Ashley sent me here to work as a maid." I said a few words because I didn't know where to look because I was talking to a speaker.

I suddenly looked in front of me when I heard footsteps from the grass and there I saw an elderly man holding a clipboard. "What's your name Miss?" He asked as he approached.

It's Zuri Keller.

"Come in Miss." He said and gave me space to enter the gate.

When I got in, we walked together and after a while I saw a white Sport Trac and he went there so I followed.

"Wait, what's going on? Where is the Go's mansion?" I couldn't stop asking.

He looked at her and raised his eyebrows and after a few moments he laughed a little. "If the mansion is what you're looking for, it's far from here, so we have to ride the Sport Trac to take you. You're the last one I'll take because you should have arrived earlier." This is a long explanation.

I was suddenly amazed when I heard that the Go's mansion was still very far from here. "Is that so, then I'm already late." I answered the last thing he said.

"No, your aunt invited you so you're lucky because you may have a vacant seat."

"Vacancy? I have a vacancy right away, is that right?" I wondered.

"Hahah! It's like that, go ahead and ride and what time is it?" Here it is.

I nodded and got on the sport Trac. As we headed towards the mansion, he kept talking and I learned that his name was Manuel or Mang Manuel. He also told that he has been working with the Go family for several years and that he was here when he was just a child because his father, who used to guard the gate, brought him with him.

When I asked him how much is the salary for guarding the gate and I almost spat my eyes when he said his salary is over 70,000 and when he said that I felt like I just wanted to apply as a guard at the gate but was just laughed at. he told me that guarding the gate is not a joke because there are many bad people who are trying to enter and he said that he almost died once because of the shooting of someone who tried to enter the gate, so because of that I suddenly backed away.

'well, why didn't I immediately think of what could happen.'

He also talked about Chairman Roly Go's children until he became serious when he mentioned the name Ace. I also felt his sudden anxiety and hand tremors, which made me nervous because he might lose control while driving.

"He is the third son of the Chairman, his hands were covered in blood when he was young, so if I were you, be careful if he ever comes back to the Go's mansion." It said very scared.

I smiled awkwardly because I didn't understand. I mean, when I did a google search last night, I don't remember reading anything with the name Ace among Chairman Go's children. In fact, the third son of Chairman Roly Go is Tita Ashley's husband, Shin, so how is he referring to Ace?

He didn't talk about anything else because he was frozen with fear. I'm thinking that maybe he's referring to a ghost. I just looked outside and enjoyed the view we were passing which was all grass! 'isn't there a good view here?'

While boringly looking outside, the view suddenly changed that if before it was full of trees, now it was a wide field that really tickled my eyes.

The field is so clean that it looks like a good bed. While I was just looking outside, I noticed some people a little far from where I was, especially a man who I thought was playing with an airplane because he was flying it, there was a woman just standing behind him holding a towel and at his feet he has a big box that is up to his knees and it is full of toys.

My eyebrows raised a little because the man playing is tall, I think he's a little taller than me. Speaking of height, my height is 1.62 m.

Not far from where the man was playing, there was another man sitting on the bench while focusing on a book and like a man, there was also a female maid standing on the side of it and she was not doing anything but just standing. I could tell they were helpers because they were wearing Black in white Maid Uniforms.

When I looked at the men, I didn't realize that my ride had stopped and if Mang Manuel hadn't spoken, I wouldn't have known.
