The first days of school were the most important, right? I believed that and always stuck to that thinking.
it was Monday, A day that I was to begin my brand new school. I was a high school student. Getting ready to take the final exams before entering a university so this final year was going to be a tough one for me.
But I wasn't bothered by it at all because I knew my capability. like everyone who had known me said, I was a nerd.
Bu appearance was just obvious. My glasses could simply tell it all. although most saw this as an oddity for me, it's an advantage.
Mom and dad had always wanted me to get into a key university and further my studies as a scientist. that was a party my dream too so I worked hard to see it come true. So with the chance of being a nerd, I would read and read as everything depended on it and when I did read, I have to say that I quite enjoyed it!
The alarm clock had gone early that morning by seven. the time Which I always set it. and when I had gotten up, I stretched myself out turning off the alarm that was still busy with its nice.
I got out of bed and got ready for school. mum had said the first impression mattered, for me, does it?
Of course, for the teachers, it did matter and some other good students. but This didn't mean I had to dress up in a designer's outfit and stun the who class into thinking that I'm just another cool kid. I was not and I knew this truth well.
It didn't hurt at all I enjoyed not being called the popular kid or a rich kid or something. I was okay dressed up in my casual outfit and reading glasses. I wasn't going to school to show off anyways, I was going to study and complete my high school education.
One might be wondering why I'd change from my previous school where I might have been a. Excellent student and then come to this school. well, even I don't have the correct or certain answer to that. All I could say was that I was certainly asked by my parents to change school. We were moving out of town for a reason I don't even know. and even after moving, I didn't care to know why.
After getting dressed up in my casual-looking top with a pink outdated scarf around my neck and trousers, I walked out of my room. My mother was in the kitchen cooking up her usual morning meal that was exceptionally mouth-watering. my dad had gone to his carpentering work.
"Are you off to school?" My mum asked from the kitchen. She was almost done with the meal.
"Yeah Mum, I can't be late on my first day, can I?" I was heading out of the house
"Then have something to eat at least" She insisted and I knew I couldn't argue with her for long.
Reluctantly, I rushed back to the kitchen and then grabbed a slice of bread "happy now" I said leaving.
"You stubborn......"
Before she could complete what she was saying, I had already left and didn't hear what she said. I already knew she would be nagging about my not eating enough food and the risk of developing whatever disease she came up with. But I certainly couldn't be late.
I had seen the large school before so I was certain that I could get there on my foot. Without much hesitation, I had hit the road, going to school.
But as I was peacefully heading to school by feet I took the shortcut with no road. I Suddenly heard a vehicle's sound coming from behind.
Confused, I quickly turned to see who it was, and behold, a Motorcycle was running at a high speed as If it was being chased. but seeing no car or another vehicle behind, I was sure it was not a chase.
I watched as the vehicle suddenly passed by her and then twisted its tires and fell on the floor harshly.
I was shocked at the scene. It was a typical accident scene and looking around, no one was there. I was the only person around.
Many things ran through my confused head, should I offer a hand? Should I help him out? Then without thinking much, I rushed to the rescue!
The vehicle has sliced on the floor and the man on it had fallen off and must have had a terrible injury.
I ran up to the man who was on the floor. I gradually helped up as he sat on the floor. he had his hand on his other arm, covering it. It must have been hurt.
."are you okay?" I asked but the man whose face was covered in a black helmet gave no reply.
I didn't bother asking again. I had learned some quick first aid treatment back in my previous school so I could handle this. perhaps?
I quickly rolled up his sleeve and saw his ark which was bleeding. And then I got out my scarf from my neck and then used it in him. I wrapped it around his arm to reduce the blood.
Then I looked at him "are you okay?"I asked again but once again, he said nothing. behind that helmet of his, he was looking at me.
I didn't get why he had the helmet on. I preferred as a patient he would take it off. And I took the initiative to take it off. "You need fresh air from the accident. It's not good to keep yourself covered up" I urged.
To my surprise, behind the helmet was indeed a handsome devil. It was not just a man but a handsome young man. He seemed to be in his late teens or so. With his curly blonde hair and deep blue eyes, he was indeed too handsome to look at.
Looking at him made me so nervous that I just recalled that I had to go to school. Without further hesitation, I got up. "I...I have to get going...To school" I said quickly as I Left him and took off.
