CHAPTER SIX

JULIANA’S POV

I squinted my eyes open as I looked around trying to figure if I was dead or still living.

“Hey dear, you are awake.” Rita asked.

“Where am I??” I asked.

“You are in my room dear…you passed out a while ago, don’t you remember??”

“Waterrrr.” I said.

She brought me water almost immediately.

“Thank you.” I said as I drank the water.

“What really happened Julia?? You made everyone scared.” she asked.

“Don’t tell her that Mate is Alpha or he will do something bad to us.” My wolf Ella said.

“I guess I was just exhausted.” I said as I lied.

“Exhausted??? It looked more like you were in serious pain dear and from the looks of it, you must have been in such pain for a while.”

“From the looks of what??” I asked in confusion.

“Did she see it??” Ella asked.

“I don’t know Ella.”

“When the Alpha carried you to my room and left, I removed your clothes and saw some terrible marks on your stomach….were you abused before you came here?? You can tell me anything.” she said.

How do I explain to her that my mate was the one hurting me?

“I don’t know what you are talking about Madam…what marks??” I asked in pretense.

“You mean you don’t know about these??” she asked as she raised my clothes up.

“No, I am just seeing it for the first time.” I said.

“Are you sure dear??? Because if something is happening with you, tell me so we can find a solution to it as soon as possible.”

“Well I don’t know what is wrong…but I guess it won’t happen as soon as I rest a lot after work.”

“Alright if you say so dear…just go to your room and rest for a while and don’t worry about work as you can resume tomorrow.” she said.

“Alright thanks so much madam.”

“It’s Rita dear…please calling me Madam makes me feel like I am old.”

“I will try to but it won’t be easy.” I said.

“Ok dear.” she said.

I stood up as she assisted me and I walked back to my room.

As soon as I laid down, I burst into tears.

“Such a weakling.” someone said.

I turned my head around quickly as I saw the Alpha resting his body on the door of my room.

I quickly wiped my tears as I sat up.

“Do you want something??” I asked.

“Why were you banging on my door earlier before you passed out??” he asked.

“N..no…nothing.” I said as I stuttered.

“So you interrupted what I was doing for nothing??!!” he asked as he growled at me.

“I am sorry for interrupting what you were doing…It won’t happen again.” I said.

He suddenly walked closer to me slowly as I shivered in fear.

“I can smell your fear…why do you fear me??” he asked as he continued walking closer.

“I…I..am..not scared.”

“Oh you should be.” he said as he smirked.

“Please just leave me alone.” I said.

“Why should I mate?? As much as I do not want you to be my mate, I can’t seem to ignore the mate pull.” he said as his eyes darken.

He pulled my arms as I stood in front of him with my petite self looking down to the ground without sparing him any glances.

“Look at me.” he said, Inaudibly.

I still looked down to the ground without looking up.

“I said look at me.” he said as he stretched each word.

I looked up and stared at his darkened eyes and it was as if he was staring into my soul.

Suddenly, he started sniffing me.

“Hmmm, I can’t resist your smell.” he said as he continued sniffing me.

I stood there like a statue as I dared not to move or say a word.

“Pleasee, don’t hurt me.” I said in a whisper as I closed my eyes.

And before I could say any other thing, he left.

I opened my eyes as I sighed deeply in happiness that he was gone.

“Why can’t he just let us be??” I asked myself.

“Because of the mate pull…he is trying so hard to resist us but it is difficult for him.”

“And is that the reason why he is hurting us??” I asked as tears dropped down my face.

“I don’t know Julia…I just hope he loves us someday.”

“Love?? That is totally impossible Ella.”

“Nothing is impossible…let us just pray to the moon goddess that he accepts us as his mate.” she said.

I laid back on the bed and got some rest and to my greatest surprise, I slept till the following day without feeling any more pain.

After I woke up, I felt much better as I freshened up and went into the kitchen.

“Good morning Ma…I mean Rita.” I said.

“Good morning dear…you look so much better…I hope you got some good rest??” she asked smiling.

“Yes I did..thank you so much.”

“You don’t have to thank me dear…I am just glad you are alright.” she said.

“What should I do today???” I asked.

“Well the Alpha is having some important guests over today from other packs for a meeting…so he asked us to prepare something nice for them.” she said.

“Okay…what do you have in mind for us to prepare??”

She explained the dishes and we got right into it.

“I was meaning to ask, where is Madam Juliet?? I haven’t seen her here in a while.” I asked.

“Well she went to visit her kids at her pack because they aren’t feeling so strong.”

“Oh okay.”

We finished making the dishes after about an hour and I was feeling a bit tired because we made almost five different dishes.

Suddenly, we heard some noises coming from the Alpha’s visitors' living room.

“It seems like they are here dear.” she said.

“Yes…what should I do??” I asked.

“Go and prepare the dinner room table and let us carry the dishes there one after the other.”

“Okay Rita.” I said as I walked away.

As soon as I entered the dining room, the Alpha’s guests stopped talking and looked at me.

I was so scared that I wished the ground would open and swallow me at that moment.

I arranged the table in fear as my hands shook.

“Hmmm Aziz, where did you see this one?? She looks new.” one of the guests asked.

“She is my new maid.” he said as my heart broke into pieces.

“Do you mind sharing her with me??” the guest asked as he smirked.

“Don’t you F**king dare talk about her like that or you will not live here alive!!!”
