Chapter 10: A diary, a page and it’s unfolding.

The eyes to speak great language.

Twenty minutes earlier, Miss Thorne had stormed out from their short-lived lesson. Meanwhile, a stone throw distance away from where Kim sat, Amber was getting enough attention from the class.

In a ridiculing tone, she read-

March 10th 2011,

Dear diary,

I've been such a mess. Today I met a new girl, couldn't remember her name from all the laughter in class (something mean Tori said).

She seemed lost, offered to assist, it must have been the first of her periods. Dear Lord! She was so clueless, so lonely. I presume the only friend she's made so far is the knuckle head Calvis.

She may just make a great friend seeing as the brat I spoke of ruined all my...

SMACK! A heavy slap landed on Amber's cheek, everyone stood still, baffled that her jaw was intact. She squealed touching her reddened cheek.

"What the heck?" She complained, palms rubbing her hot jawline.

"Amber, nobody reads my journal!" Kim heaved infuriated. "And I mean no one, she warned, charging towards her again.

"Who the hell keeps a diary? We've got apps for that," she scoffed throwing it on the floor.

"Why you little..." Kim shoved her against the wall.

"I think you should save all that mopping in a cloud..." Amber muttered defensively.

"I don't take advice from dimwits." She cut her short. "You think? All you have is five and a half inches between your ears and it is void." Kimberly bashed, the class went wild jeering.

"Wow! That's deep Kim!" Brandon grinned jumping from the desk he'd been standing on, Kimberly ignored him.

"Tell her off, she needs a shower, her attitude stinks!" Someone else remarked, repulsed by Amber's indiscreet blab. The scene reaffirmed Kim's no-nonsense personality, she enjoyed the applause handed to her.

"I'm just sick and tired of your tomfoolery! God knows if it weren't for Lexie standing between you and I, nothing would have given me any more pleasure than beating that smug face off your fat neck!"

"Oh...snap," the class remarked rhythmically.

"It was about time someone called her out!" Tiana, Kim's friend said as Tasha, Amber and Pearl scurried out of class. The case followed for those who rushed to their specific clubs but for Lexie detention held her from her Rangers meeting.

"Damn! You stood up for yourself real good, that was intense, I'm shaking. Really hope Thorne doesn't get a word about this." Lexie said, handing Kimberly her diary.

"Honestly I don't care," Kim swore disregarding the fact that she was a little rattled.

"So...How about we cipher our writing?" Lexie suggested.

"L, you mean like in Digital Fortress?" She scolded, "That’s genius and we can work on a code this weekend yeah?" Lexie nodded, patting her back.

"Sweet!" They both said.

"Dammit!" Lexie cursed.

"What's wrong?" Kim asked with a frown. "Detention!" She groused, "I'm afraid this is goodbye."

"No..." Kimberly frowned. "Yes...Chemistry! Who'd ever think?" She whined. "I want Peterson back!"

"I'm sorry sweetheart, talk soon?" Kim said waving goodbye then ambled out of the classroom. Lexie lazily trudged herself down the deserted hallway.

"All students, please be advised to go home, school grounds are being set up for an event taking place here this weekend. Those on detention will report to their respective teachers next week without fail. Cheers to the weekend." The voice from the PA jeered signing out.

"Well, that's just great!" She looked around presuming someone had called her. Hallucinations, she brushed her thoughts off advancing the gigantic canopied doors. The gut wrenching thought of someone trailing made her scamper. She looked back, her eyes nervously scanning the hallway, unsettled.

"Strange." She whispered to herself. I'll be sure to journal this long hideous day tonight.
