Chapter 1: LEAVE
I woke up because of my dream. It's a weird dream, really. I was in a place with aliens, I don't know what to call them. They have weird powers and whatsoever.
I fell silent when I felt that strange sensation. I’ve always felt this since I was 18, I’m now 23 and 5 years old like this, waking up from a nightmare and having a weird feeling.
I looked at my hand. It is very weird. I am really a weirdo. I took a deep breath and got off my bed. I went to my little kitchen and drank some water.
"Hey, lady. Bad dreams?" by Anna
She's Anna Smith, a good friend of mine. I met her, together with Jamie Carlos, during our high school days. Both are from rich families, but insisted to stay with me here in my small house.
I'm used to being like this. I sighed and nodded.
"Check it up, Fion. Having bad dreams for almost 5 years is really creepy especially if you've been dreaming about it over and over again." he said and sat down in the other chair.
"Or maybe you're crazy, just go mental, girl." Jam replied just waking up and immediately brewed the coffee.
I am an orphan. My parents died when I was 8. Thanks to these two ladies who never left my side even though they had many reasons to leave me. They are my real friends. My family. And they are also the reason why I was and I am able to survive in this cruel world. The reason why I am continuing to fight and live. I am very grateful to them, they helped me finish my studies and get a job to earn a living.
"But really, Fion. That's weird. If I were you, I might have freaked out. Just kidding, 5 years ?! You're 5 years like that. I just don't know if you're still sleeping well." ani Jam
I sighed. "Gals, maybe it's just mannerisms. You're overreacting. I'm used to it. Besides, like you said, I just keep dreaming. It's better this way. It's more frightening when your face suddenly changes and enters. two. " I tried to crack a joke ... which is, I think, waley.
"Better luck next time." said Anna
"You sucks at joking." Jam commented and shook his head.
I was frustrated. Mga langya.
"And by the way, I'm going home today. Dad needs me for some business issues. I'll be out for quite some time. Sorry, Fion."
I looked up to Anna. "It's okay. I'm not your obligation and look! I'm already 23! 23 years here in this world. Do you think I can't? I'm a fully grown woman with two angels, you and you ... "I taught them both at the same time. "Of course, I'm okay. And Jam is here." I said and turned to Jam who grinned.
"U-Uh. Actually, about that ... I guess, I need to go home, too. My brother's wife gave birth. A-And you know, I need to be there. It's a family thing, we're used to it that everything should be there when the family increases or decreases. " he bowed. "I'm sorry."
As much as I want them to stay here, I can't. I don't want to be left here alone but I prefer to forbid them to see their family. And besides, I have no right to do that. I tried to smile.
"Sure! It's okay. I also know that you missed your family so much. It's been almost a year since you last visited you. Take your time there. Don't worry about me." I said
They smiled at me and hugged me. Gosh. Don't cry, Fion. They will return e. Your over reacting.
"You take care here, okay? Don't bring a man here." Jam joked when we were outside the house where they were waiting to pick us up.
"Bwesit kayo! You didn't even tell me that you were leaving immediately." streaked with sullenness I told them.
Now they are leaving. They are both ready. Witches really are.
"I'm sorry, Fion. Suddenly."
"I don't know how to tell you. I'm sorry, baby."
I stared at them. But eventually smiled as well.
"Oh he is. Get out. Maybe your parents are waiting for you. Don't worry about me here. Have fun!" I said and hugged them
"You take care. You're the only one here so you better be extra careful. I'll miss you, bitch." said Jam and hugged me back
"Wow! I'm in!" Anna shouted and joined us.
I laughed softly. Gosh, I'll surely miss them.
-----
It’s been a few hours since my two companions left. I looked all around the house.
Now, I'm all alone. I sighed and tried to smile. That's me, Fion. You're not alone, you have your plants and the TV with you.
I sighed again and started cleaning the house. The house is not big so it is not difficult to clean. It's been almost a month since I --- we last cleaned the house.
I started in the bedroom. There is only one room in this house because we sleep next to each other. I looked at the bed. There, I saw 6 pillows and the unorganized bed. It was as if I suddenly saw the image of the three of us playing cards while laughing. I averted my gaze and started to fix it. I also took another pillow since I can only sleep alone.
I picked the clothes that were scattered in the floor. I set the table, I cleaned up all the clutter. Then in the kitchen, in the living room as well as in the yard of the house. And every corner of the house reminds me of my friends ... of my only family.
I did my best to divert my attention and not feel the emptiness of the house. After cleaning the house, I watered the plants and cleaned the front yard.
"Yes I'm alone but I'm alone and free." I sang as I keep myself busy in sweeping.
"Just stay away and you'll be safe from me!" I still sing and acted as if I am Elsa staying away from Anna
"Actually we're not." I changed my voice and imitated Anna
"What do you mean you're not?" I copied Elsa again and I changed positions while holding the broom stick.
"I got a feeling you don't know."
"What do I don't know?"
"Arandelle is in deep deep deep deep snow."
I laughed as I copied Anna's actions while singing that part. I feel crazy.
"Fiona?"
I turned to the caller and smiled at him.
"Hey, Alvin, are you here?" I asked and opened the small gate for him to enter.
"I heard your friends left. I thought you needed some company with you so I came here." he said with his signature charming smile
He's Al Vincent Santos, from a wealthy family in this area and he says, he's had feelings for me for a long time, uhm, you know, crush, love, right? Hehe. But I can only see him as my friend. Nothing less, nothing more.
I smiled, "Thanks, Vince! I appreciate that."
"You know, you've got a good voice. You can make that an investment." he suggested.
"Oh! You're listening, hahahaha. My voice is just for the bathroom!" I laughed at the statement
He was slightly silent and thoughtful.
"Hmmm? Fiona, can I say something crazy?"
I smiled.
"I love crazy!" I go along with his nonsense.
"All my life has been a series of doors in my face. And then suddenly I bumped into you." he started singing Anna's part.
I laughed and shook my head.
"I was thinking the same way 'cause like, I've been searching my whole life to find my own place. And Maybe it's a party talking, or a chocolate fondue." I would laugh around and act like a princess.
"But with you ..."
"But with you, I found my place."
"I see your face!" we laughed together
"And there's nothing like I've ever known before ..."
"Love is an open door."
"Love is an open do-o-or."
"Love is an open door ..."
"With you," he pointed me out
"With you," and I did the same
"With you, with you!"
"Love is an open door." we sang in chorus and danced like we're a real princess and prince.
Then we laughed together. Alvin has a good voice, I can't deny that.
"Hahahahaha We look crazy!" he said I agreed.
"Atleast, we had fun."
He nodded and laughed slightly.
"It was fun."
When his cellphone suddenly rang, he answered immediately. He even moved away a bit for privacy. He later approached me after the call.
"Fion, I'm really sorry. I need to go. Papa is calling me." he said with his frowning face
"It's okay. Be careful!" I said and smiled at him.
I could see in his face the doubt whether he would leave and leave me alone or whether he would stay.
Eventually she sighed and forced a smile, "Okay. I'll just come back here when I have free time, Fion, ah? Be careful. You're still alone and a woman."
I smiled and nodded, "They'll take care of me." biro ko
He just laughed and shook his head and I took him to the gate but before he finally left he faced me again. What was surprising was the serious expression on his face.
"U-Uh? You forgot something ----"
"Fion?"
"H-Hmm?"
"I'm still waiting."
And after saying that, he suddenly got in the car and pulled it away while I was left gaping at the gate. W-Wait, what?
But after processing what he said, a sad smile appeared in my lips, "I'm sorry."
