chapter 1- office chit chats
In office
"Please, Emmie. You have to help me," Irene insisted.
"With what exactly?"
Emmie looks away from her computer screen and tries to decipher what her colleague wants this time.
"Distract Jake. I really need to talk to Dave."
"Why don't you invite him to lunch."
"No, that's too obvious."
"And that's not the case?"
"Listen, I'm sure you can invent something to get Jake off the scene. Please. I really need to talk to Dave. He looked so good this morning,” Irene sighed.
Emmie wants to sign too. What's going on with his young blond colleague and that stupid IT guy, Dave? On their birth certificates were adults, but she sometimes had serious doubts about their mental age.
Emmie was only a year older than Irene, but mentally Emmie felt they were decades apart. She wondered if she'd ever loved as foolishly as Irene was inclined to. Usually Irene goes after the marketing boys, but for the past few weeks, Dave from the IT department has been at the top of her most anticipated list.
It's embarrassing that Dave shares his office with a coworker who scares most people off. Irene included. So that's where Emmie comes into play. Emmie was bored, with dark blonde hair and quick remarks. Now acts as a canonfodder for grumpy men with poor social skills.
Too bad the man she had to cheat on was one of the most handsome men she'd ever met. If he wasn't so cranky, he would probably have women in line behind him. And Emmie was afraid she was one of them.
For such a young man, she wondered what had made him so stubborn and irritable. In fact, between the easy Dave and the goofy Jake, she would probably prefer Jake.
She's a much more interesting character, but he'll never notice her. With her short stature and shy appearance, she caught the eye of most men.
That didn't bother her, however. She has a comfortable life and some good friends including Irene although they have quite different personalities.
"Oh, I love you, Emmie, can't you tell?" Irene continued.
And that's the only reason Emmie decided to help. Again.

Irene ran into Dave and Jake's office.
"Oh, please Jake, can you help Emmie?" His computer was completely destroyed. And she was very nervous because she had to run the monthly report.
"Not yet," Jake mumbled. "What's wrong with that stupid little note?"
Dave just laughed.
"Looks like an emergency, man."
"No. She can fix it herself."
"Oh no, you have to help her. She's very uproarious," emphasized Irene.
“Find another idiot to fix it. I got it with her hysteria and stupid mistakes. "
" But she insists on your help, Jake. Please," emphasized Irene.
"Some women shouldn't be allowed to have computers," sighed Jake.
" An asshole in trouble is your area of expertise, Jake," Dave laughed. this week.”
Reluctantly, Jake grabbed his cell phone and headed for the door.
"I bet she stepped on a cable. It was as simple as that."
"Don't be so sure," Dave laughed behind him. "She's pretty creative and clumsy. A real support challenge, if I've ever seen her."
Funny, Jake thought. This woman is an expert at ruining her day.
***
"Okay, so what's all the fuss?" Jake asked yawning. The tall dark-haired man was making his office more cramped than usual, Emmie thought. But the fresh scent of an attractive man makes people even more fluttery. Stay focused, she told herself. Focus on distracting him more than she does.
She promised Irene that she would hold it for as long as she could. It won't last long. He is handsome but has very little patience with others. And he has no qualms about showing exactly how bored he is.
He comes across as gruff and unapproachable. Emmie didn't think the type of person should work at a desk. But since they took turns running the help desk, he had to do his part.
Emmie usually shuns people like him, but since Irene started campaigning for Dave, Emmie has seen Jake almost daily.
Despite her gruff appearance, she discovered a rather interesting person underneath. She just needed to unpack it a little more. So it helped to act stupid. It pissed him off so much that he was starting to feel happy. Emmie went there.
"Oh, I'm so sorry to wake you up from your morning sleep," Emmie said wryly and tried to act like the hysterical woman the situation demanded. "But this monster won't do anything."
She points to her computer screen. "I'm sure he's mad at me and I know it's the perfect time to go crazy."
"Computers don't have emotions," Jake explained.
"Well, I disagree. This does, and every time I have an important mission, he decides to grow a backbone. ? "Emmie said, raising her voice a little.
An irritable woman would probably get upset and give Irene a little more time.
" We've agreed, and I don't want to lose the data I have. " “Forgot to save? Jake sighed.
"I can't do this all the time. It ruins my focus. And right now, I can't even find the stupid save button."
"Try the upper left corner."
" But I can't see anything. The screen is black. See for yourself. "
" Well, turn it back on. "
" Don't you think I tried that? But the trick is to hold a grudge. Ever since I downloaded the last issue of Vogue, it's been dull.
Jake sighed.
“I can't blame someone for not liking women's magazines, can I? He must obey my orders! "
" Him? "
" Well, sure, it's 'him'. No woman could be so stupid, Emmie argued.
"That wouldn't surprise me," Jake mumbled.
"What did you say?" Emmie wondered.
"As long as you don't start petting him or something," Emmie said cautiously. "He doesn't deserve any favor after ruining my day. You know, I might even miss the final episode of 'Kardashians' if he continues like that? Owner must have this report in hand before I go today. I'll probably finally put it on paper.”
“Sounds like a good idea,” agreed Jake.
“Do you think so? But how do I follow my friends on 'Facebook' if my computer is down? ".
Emmie could barely hold back a smile as he seemed to be having a hard time controlling himself. Explode or bleed" So cold. It seems to be counting to ten very slowly.
“Haven't you fixed it yet?” Irene asked as she rushed inside and went to her office.
“It has to do with the user,” Jake said in a bored voice.
"No, it's not!" Emmie objected. "It's stupid trash trying to ruin my day."
"Gosh, you really need to reboot," Jake said wryly.
"I'm not a man. And you don't blame me for this disaster!"
Emmie was excited. Human nerves.
“Have fun then,” Irene said quickly. "I'm out for lunch. See you later," she winked at Emmie as she passed her. "Thanks," she whispered.
"Okay," Jake sighed as if trying to regain his patience. "Let's clean up a bit of the clutter and start with the obvious."
With a slow motion, Jake approached her.
Emmie looked at him warily. What is he doing now?
Without saying a word, he put his hand on her waist and lifted her up as if she were as light as a feather. She felt her body closer than ever, as he pulled her towards him. Immediately, he made her sit at the desk before turning to the computer.
Emmie just spit. How dare he put his hand on hers without breaking a sweat or just looking slightly affected. And he even called it a "mess". How dare he?
"I beg your pardon! You could have asked kindly. Instead of just moving around like I was some kind of piece of furniture."
She wants to spray fire on the man.
"You took too long."
"I hope you sprained it in the process. Or you hurt your back."
Emmie glared at him as she clasped her arms over her chest, gasping from the unexpected treatment.
She refuses to admit the fact that she likes the feeling of being carried by a strong and handsome man.
Jake smiled proudly. Emmie had rarely heard him laugh before, and she was momentarily shocked. She loved his laughter, even if it was her name.
"Don't believe it, ma'am. For someone as light as you? I'm not a weak computer geek who can barely lift the mouse.
Jake turned and looked at her, his eyes sparkling with laughter.
"Who said who?" Emmie challenged him. Jake smiled as he grabbed her and lifted her up and held her to his chest.
Emmie could barely breathe, she was shocked and even more so when she looked up at Jake's face. Her mouth was so close any woman could get an idea, Emmie thought. Her breasts pressed against his and she felt a strong urge to wrap her legs around her waist, no matter how much her dress objected.
That won't do. He must have never imagined that he could control her so easily with his body. Then she would lose and she refused to let him take over.
She placed her hand on his chest and pulled away from him. Only to realize that the result is their lower regions coming together.
She was shocked when she could feel the contours of his dick against her stomach. He was so hot-tempered that she suspected it would take hours to calm down. And just as suddenly, she felt it harden and grow.
This time she gasped, and she noticed that he had a thoughtful look in her eyes, as if there was some mystery he had not yet solved. Jake slowly moved his belly against hers, as if he were rubbing himself against her.
"How high do you want me to lift you?" He asked triumphantly.
Emmie was annoyed and lifted her leg as if she was going to kick him where it hurt the most.
"Let go, idiot!" she scoffed, and just as he suddenly let go of his arm and she fell to the floor.
It happened so suddenly that she forgot to brace herself, and before she realized it, it landed right on her ass. Her skirt bounced as she fell back onto the floor.
"Ouch. Why did you do that?" Emmie asked as she turned to lie on her side to massage her aching back.
"The lady ordered," Jake just smiled as he seemed amused by what the dress was hiding.
"You don't have to catch me in the first place."
Emmie desperately tried to pull her skirt down and put her feet under her. It seems that the treatment destroyed his ability to control his muscles.
"Let me lend you a hand," Jake offered, pulling her to her feet in one quick motion.
She stirred a little, before regaining momentum. A large lock of hair had come out of the hairpin and she tried to re-pin it.
"Hem, maybe you should fix your shirt first," Jake suggested with a smile.
He revealed his chest and when he looked down, Emmie saw that a few buttons had been undone and her bra was visible through the slit. She blushed and quickly turned her back to him. The cold air against her butt told him her skirt wasn't in place as it should have been, but at the same time his hands were on her waist and pulling her skirt up.
"You're decent again now."
“And whose fault is that? Just because you want to say what kind of man you are. "
" Oh my! You yourself didn't have the strength to stand up, remember? Maybe I should lift you up again to get all the details right now.
He walked over to her again, his hand on her waist.
Inadvertently, Emmie jumped back, before he tried to grab her again. the table behind her, and with a cry of insult, she rubbed her aching back.
Jake gave her a triumphant smile that made her heart flutter. Emmie straightened her position.
"Why does every situation have to turn into a childish anger contest with you?" Emmie rushes in, completely forgetting about the user's decision to act like a stupid game.
"The pee contest? It's not. Those muscles don't come easily, you know," he smirked, flexing the biceps of his right arm. "You have to work for them."
"Huh! That sounds like too many wasted hours in the gym, if you ask me," Emmie interjected.
"So is spending time in front of the TV better?" Jake challenged. "Guess that's a mental challenge too?"
"It depends on the program," Emmie insisted.
"Of course you are. Looks like you still haven't learned many details about fashion," Jake concluded, looking up and down his body, raising his eyebrows slightly.
