5 – Interview with the Werewolf

BECAUSE of the loud music resonating in the shop, Emma motioned to her assistant to approach the client that entered the garage.

Anton was her only mechanic today. Robert called earlier that his wife thinks she is going to have her baby. Hopefully, today is the real thing since his wife has been in labor for two days now. The poor woman has been suffering from Braxton kicks far too much.

Since she started managing the shop, she has had two regular staff under her wings. It was her way of making sure that she could rely on one person in case the other was not available.

She searched for Anton. Emma was not able to see him. He must be attending to the client already.

Behind her desk, she pulled out the letter that her father received last week. She read it once but she still contemplating her response.

It was a recall of duty.

When she was training for the military, she was approached by the CO to be part of a covert team. Her bio has been reviewed and her college degree was a huge help. They also include her physical attributes. Apparently, her beauty and skill were a deadly combination that could help them.

Instead of the regular training that she had to go through, she went through more rigorous training that even the mentors were surprised that she was able to surpass.

They did not know that she was made for a far tedious situation. Her genes were made for training like these.

Her father thought that she was just a regular military officer in the service but only if he knew that his daughter was part of a covert operation unknown to many, he would be proud and afraid every time she walked out of the door.

A knock stopped her from her reverie. She folded the letter again and slid it into the pocket of the overall she was wearing.

Emma frowned when she recognized the person who was standing in the middle of the garage.

It was that woman from a week ago. Alpha something. Alpha made for lovin’ according to her lustful wolf.

The woman was right. She has a wolf and she was hiding the wolf. Emma was surprised that despite her will to conceal the wolf inside her, it was still recognized.

She was not surprised when her wolf started to get edgy. That luscious woman has been pestering her mind for a while. Well, her wolf has been talking non-stop about that particular woman.

Her eyes squinted when Anton glanced at the client with awe. His eyes stayed a little longer on the woman’s behind. It was a well-rounded ass. Her wolf reminded her.

She whistled to get his attention. When his eyes met hers, he shrugged as he grinned at being caught. He walked away to get to the service area.

As if on a catwalk, the voluptuous woman drew near. Her brown eyes were looking directly at Emma’s orbs.

In every step she took, her t*ts bounced a little from the fitted shirt she wore. Wide hips moved in grace.

“Can I help you, alpha?”

“We can hear each other better if you turn the music down.”

There was an authority in the woman’s tone. She did not like it but Emma was not in the mood for an argument today.

She did what the woman asked. She remained in her seat behind the counter.

“I brought the car. I need the services you told me about.”

“Alright. My employee can do it after he is done with the other car.”

“Can’t you do it yourself?”

“I am busy at the moment. If you want, you can leave the car and come back tomorrow. I’m a little short on staff today.”

With one brow raised, the alpha female made a face. It was obvious that she did not believe the words that the female mechanic uttered.

“I can do that. Can I talk to you in private?”

“How private?”

“Just the two of us.”

“I’ll take it from here.”

Startled at the presence of her father, Emma nodded. She was not able to hear her father approaching. The pretty woman got her full attention.

Emma stood up. The other woman seemed to like that she was a lot taller.

“Her car needs the whole service, Dad. And, no, don’t touch it. The fumes aren’t good for you. Wait until Anton is done.”

“But---”

“That or you will go home right now.”

Her old man raised two of his hands in surrender. “Fine.”

They end up in the nearest diner which was a two-minute walk from the shop. The diner was popular with travelers.

“I’ll have the milkshake and the custard cake, please. Two slices.”

“And the lady?” The waitress said.

“Coffee and do you have other pastry?” The hot alpha female answered.

“Cinnamon and garlic bread are available.”

“Do you have pasta to go with the garlic bread?”

“Yes, alpha.”

“I’ll have pasta and coffee. Thank you.”

Emma was not surprised when she heard the waitress. She knew that the two waitresses at the diner were werewolves. As of late, the place has been frequented by the shifters.

“What do you want to talk about?” She started when they were left alone.

Her fingers tapped the table as they waited for their orders.

“Why do you call that human your father when we both know who you are?”

“I was adopted.”

“Why?”

“Because I was an orphan. I run away from my parents’ old pack.”

“Why?”

Emma smiled at the old man who served the milkshake together with the custard cakes. The coffee and the pasta were been given to the other woman.

“You are asking too many questions, alpha.” The tall woman said before she sipped on the milkshake.

She almost moaned when the sweet and creamy refreshment touched her taste buds.

“Taste good?”

She smirked at the female alpha. “It was the best.”

The other woman made a face. She also sipped the black coffee she ordered.

“The custard cake is a new recipe. Try it.” She offered. “Why are you here again, Alpha?”

Brown orbs focused on Emma. A forkful of white pasta went into the other woman’s mouth. She chewed slowly before a satisfied smile appeared on her lips.

“I’m here to convince you---”

“Emma?”

They both turned to the woman who called. A wide smile appeared on her lips when she saw Jane Tudd, the owner of Tudd’s Diner where they are at the moment

“Hey. I didn’t know that you were back. I heard the other day that you were on vacation.” She greeted the woman.

“And no one told me that you are here.” The kind woman stated.

“I was around and not too busy. I decided to come by and hopefully have a glance at you.” Emma ended the statement with a wide grin.

The young woman giggled at her statement. “I’ll ask one of the staff to send something to the shop. Is Leo with you?”

“Yes. Dad is in the shop. Anton was with him.”

“Great. I cooked his favorite.”

“Thanks. Placed it on my tab together with these.”

Jane gazed at the unsmiling woman opposite her table. She was sending daggers to the owner of the dinner.

“Hi. One of my staff told me that there was an alpha here.” The woman said politely.

Emma sighed.

She knew that the owner of the diner was a werewolf.

When she came home from the service, she was surprised when she saw the teenager at the diner. According to her father, Jane was adopted by the Tudd’s. That time, Jane has recently shifted into her wolf.

As of late, she noticed the mark on the young woman’s neck. Judging from the aura emitting from the young Tudd, she is mated to an alpha. That was the reason why the place has werewolf staff and sometimes, warrior wolves were guarding the place.

Emma frequented the place before. Aside from the decent meal that they prepare, it was the nearest place where they can buy good food. However, since she did not want any attention to herself, either she called for her order to be delivered to the shop, or she asked one of her employees to buy food from the diner.

“Love,”

She sighed. Emma sipped on the milkshakes that she almost finished the rest of the refreshment.

“Hey. I was told that another alpha is here. I thought it was my friend.” Jane told the woman had just arrived. A wide smile was plastered on her face. Her eyes shone with joy upon seeing the person.

“Alpha Jill?”

“Hello, Alpha Monette. This is your mate?”

“Yes. This is my Luna, Jane.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Luna Jane.”

While the three of them were kissing ass, Emma finished the custard cake on the table. She even grabbed one of the two garlic breads from Jill’s pasta.

She was pouring water into an empty glass when she noticed that the three of them were looking at her.

“Hey. The food is great, by the way.” Emma complimented.

She raised the glass before she drank half of it.

Jane chuckled at her reaction but the two alphas were frowning. Must be because of her uncaring demeanor despite knowing their positions in the pack.

“Love, this is Emma. She is Leo’s daughter. They owned Leo’s Auto-Care.”

Recognition marred the gray eyes of the other alpha woman who stood as tall as her. If they shared other features, they could be mistaken to be related.

Instead of bowing at the woman, she made a salute gesture with her fingers.

“I can smell faint wolf on you.”

“Weak wolf.” She countered at Jane’s mate.

“Don’t be fooled, Alpha Monette. She is my mate.” The big t*ts woman in front of her disclosed.

“I haven’t accepted it yet.”

The mated couple moved closer to each other and regarded them with interest that Emma wanted to roll her eyes.
