CHAPTER 2- First Frat Party!

*******

Just as they always say, there will always be a first time for everything and everyone, maybe this was it for her….

For an incoming freshman like herself, going to her first frat party felt somewhat like a rite of passage to Nathasha Greyson. She was excited anyways because she had that feeling of already surviving the entire syllabus week, and now considered it a high time to feel out the party scene.

It would not be so bad to enjoy herself, would it?

Just three months ago, Nathasha had celebrated her 18th birthday and was now officially an adult. She was no longer the daddy's girl she always was and she didn't even want to keep being that. It was time she called the shots in her affairs now.

If she were to be honest, the last few semesters spent in college had being completely immersed in her studies because she wanted to do exceedingly well to please her father who would never take any slight chances in seeing her fail and yes, she had kept her part of the bargain doing just fine at school, trying her very best to juggle academics with the responsibility that came with being an heiress, popular diva, super model and regretfully, she didn’t have much time for partying which was still very much a surprise for someone like her.

Well, that was all thanks to someone being overprotective and it was no one else but her father.

Nathasha didn't know why but she had this bubbling anticipation that was swirling from within her as their car got closer to the fraternity house where the party was taking place that night.

She and her friends, her girls squad; Ava, Melanie and Rose had all gone in Melanie's car because she didn't take her car along, she didn't want her absence to be noticed back at home by her dad.

Two hours earlier, they had all gathered at her house, the Greysons' Estate before leaving to get some things at the store for the party. From there, the girls head to Rose and Melanie's dormitory where they do every one of the extra preps before finally leaving at 9:30pm. The party was to begin by 10:00pm and the drive to the fraternity house from their dorm wasn't that far. It was just a twenty minute drive.

Nathasha didn't stay in dormitories like her other friends, she went to college from home and that was because her dad didn't want her too far from him. She wasn't so pleased with that and would have found every excuse worth giving to leave but the fact that their house was close to her college made him win her over.

Melanie's red Honda Civic was parked a few metres away in front of the building. The girls were giggling and making jokes on how excited they were about meeting cool and very hot guys while also having the time of their lives that night.

" It's going to be a loud one tonight! " screamed Ava, Nathasha's closest and best friend in the four girls gang.

" I can't wait to see Frank" Nathasha says with a rush of excitement on her face. Her cheeks were red as she thought about her new boyfriend whom she had just met a few months back in college.

" Awwn, look who's in love here" Melanie said to her smiling as she turned off the ignition. Nathasha, although the youngest in the group, was literally the most popular girl in their squad. She had caught the fancy of Frank Wilson, the most popular guy in college.

They were the perfect match and the most popular couple on campus. Who wouldn't want to be seen with Frank? He was a very attractive and cool young athletic guy.

All four of them got down from the vehicle to make their way into the party scene which had loud music already hitting them as they came close to the building.

" But guys, do you think this is going to be like....a really cool idea, I mean this party?" Rose asks them. She wasn't sure she was going to like it there.

Rose was the shy and the prudish friend in the gang. Infact, she dreaded outings like these ones that had alcohol, crowds and noise. She often wondered how she got herself involved with the sleekest girls in college, but she guessed it was all thanks to being friends with Nathasha.

Once in their General Studies class which they all had together, she had helped Nathasha with some of her work when she had issues with her assignments and that was how they got close and she got herself included in the four girls squad.

She felt like the nerd in the group anyways.

" Rose.... What are you doing? " Nathasha calls after her. She saw Rose still standing by the car, probably having a rethink about entering into the building. Nathasha turned back to grab the hesitant girl by the wrist, assuring her that it was going to be ok.

" Why are you being such a prude?" Ava asks while rolling her eyes at Rose.

" Come on Rose" Melanie said " These past few weeks have been life draining with assignments, presentations, essays, projects, need I say more...."

" Here's an opportunity to let our hair down and get giddy babies," she added, chuckling.

" This roomie of mine has been stuck indoors for days now." Melanie said again pointing to her. " Chill baby, we're just gonna have some fun, you know..."

" Say no more, we are going in there" Nathasha said laughing as they all walked into the building with their confident girl squad charm and gait mode activated.

The girls had been invited to the party by Frank and his friends, and Nathasha had tried to look her best.

She wore a well-fitted, light blue above-the-knee floral dress in an off-the shoulder style with short sleeves while complimenting the dress with white sneakers and a jean jacket. Her makeup was minimal but she still stood out. Her honey brown wavy and thick hair cascaded all the way to her waist.

The girls couldn't help being noticed, several eyes were on them as they walked in through the large yard of the house that was already crowded to the entrance hall.

The whole place reeked of alcohol and unsurprisingly different stench of body odor, oozing out from different corners. Of course, what else were there expecting in a place like this, flowery fragrance and scent?

Nathasha reasoned within her as she took in her environment and concluded that it differs greatly from the house parties she was used to attending back then when she was in high school.

She thought Rose's face looked sick as she glanced towards her. Trust her to always watch out for her friends. She was probably feeling out of place but that's why they were here together as a girls team right?

'Rule No 1. of attending Frat Parties: Never Ever Go Alone and yes, that was checked' thought Nathasha as they made their way confidently into the large living room filled with even more people than outside.
