Revenge on the billionaire

Yvonne looked at herself in the mirror one more time then walked out of the room. Today was a special day that she had to borrow an attire from her friend.

When it comes to her job, Yvonne can move mountains for it not talking of the promotion scent she was perceiving if today became a success.

Being raised by a single mother and a brother who would have been better if he was called a jerk than Jake, she had all the reasons to work hard. He was so annoying and always getting on her nerves which became the reason they grew apart.

She still loved him and that is why she is doing all this to make him have a better future than her.

Getting to the living room her friend was lying on the couch, she just came back from her night shift and fell asleep on the couch.

"Tina," she called out tapping her and she opened her eyes tiredly.

"Are you back already?" She asked tiredly and Yvonne felt like laughing.

"No, I'm now ready to leave. You should go and sleep inside instead of here. The bed is more comfortable,"

"It's okay, you look good," Tina complimented.

"Thank you, I'm leaving now,"

Tina checked her wrist watch then looked at her.

"It's still early. You always don't go to work at this time,"

"Have you forgotten today is that big day. The wedding between Landon and Kirby. Another good news, I was able to get a spot to interview Kirby this morning before the wedding and ask all those things that have been trending. After that my boss promised me a promotion. Can you imagine that? I'm going to be bringing the whole media to a stand still after this big story,"

"I trust you on that, I have this question I want you to ask her. Is it true she is a lesbian and this marriage is to cover up?"

"It's already on my list of questions including is it true she loves him or she is with him for money. You remember the interview she had with Allan two years ago after she broke up with Rayman?"

"Who will forget, she said she can't love again. Also ask her the secret of getting rich men to date her. First it was Ian, then Rayman and now getting married to Landon, she should help us,"

"I know, I don't even want a billionaire, I'll be settled if I get a millionaire," Yvonne commented and Tina laughed.

"You should ask all the questions and make that big story, what time will it be going on the screen?"

"The wedding will be live but the story I'm making will be on the screen tomorrow. From two to three in the afternoon. I'll be officially launching my show on the screen,"

"I'll be praying for you here,"

"Thank you baby gal, take care," Yvonne rushed out smiling.

With the luck she woke up with this morning, she didn't have to wait a whole hour for a taxi as she saw a taxi immediately and as she opened the door her phone started ringing.

She sat in the taxi then took out her phone but was hesitant to pick so she let it ring without picking and it rang again.

The taxi driver looked at her from the mirror and she didn't have a choice but to pick.

She knew what Sandra wanted and though she could help her save her marriage what she was asking for was too much, she couldn't bring herself to doing it.

"Hello,"

"Yvonne, finally you have picked. Where are you?"

"I'm on my way to work to pick my camera is there a problem?" She asked back.

"Come to my house first and I'll drive you to work,"

"I can't do that Sandra, I have forty five minutes to get to Kirby's house and I can't be late,"

"I got you that opportunity to get into the mansion to change your life and I can do more, you know that as well. You are my last help please help me. I can do anything you want, make you live like a princess with your family. Mention your prize," Sandra talked and she just listened.

Her long talks were what she was avoiding that was why Yvonne didn't want to pick her calls.

"Sandra I can't do that, I would have disappointed myself and my mom. Thank you so much for helping me. This means a lot for my job but if had asked me first then I would have asked you not to do it if this is the favor you wanted in return,"

"Yvonne, you have a good heart and I know you feel my pain and you'll help me, think about it,"

"Why don't you adopt a child? A young child not older than six months and the baby will grow up to be yours," Yvonne suggested.

"I can't raise a child I know nothing about, please think about it,"

Sandra hanged and she sighed frustrated. She met Sandra few years ago after her graduation. She was actually among the guest who were present during the graduation and when she came to the city to look for a job, she met Sandra again.

Sandra has been helpful in her life and even offered to get her a job at a big media house but when she placed conditions, Yvonne didn't have a choice but to reject the offer.

Sandra has been married for years but according to the doctor her womb can't hold a baby, they tried all possible ways to help her but it was hard and that was why she wanted Yvonne to carry the baby for her.

Yvonne could have accepted but she couldn't bring herself to the fact that she was going to lose her virginity in the delivery room, she had marriage fantasies and as much as Sandra was going to do lots of things for her she couldn't through away all the fantasies she had.

According to research she did, during the pregnancy journey you will have a connection with the baby. How was she going to give away a baby she carried for nine months?

If one day she gets married how will she explain to her husband? She couldn't do it. On second thoughts, Sandra had done so much for her and she would want to repay it back but not this way.

What was she going to do? She was so confused.

"We are here ma'am," the driver announced disrupting her thoughts.

"Ok, can you give me few minutes I take some things in the office then you take me somewhere else," she requested.

"Ok, don't take long,"

"Thank you sir," she paid then got down and rushed to the office.

She was supposed to go with a camera man but according to Kirby's mom they only needed one person.

She took a camera and a stand then packed other things she needed then rushed out.

She rested her head back and closed her eyes trying to imagine how she was going to shake the country with the news.

Not like she hated Kirby but with how she always shakes the media anything related to her always trends. Definitely this won't be different.

Some know her as rich guy catcher because she is always dated by rich men, some know her as a heart breaker because she always calls off engagements and this time that she was finally walking down the aisle definitely many people need answers.

She kept on rehearsing the questions in her head till the car stopped Infront of the big gate.

"Thank you sir," she appreciated, paid him and got down then took her phone to text Tina.

"Finally I have arrived at the gate, wish me luck," she sent the text the walked to the gate and rang the bell.

"Good morning, how can I help?" A guard opened the gate and asked.

She showed him her badge and he stepped aside to allow her walk in, seemed like they were expecting her.

She walked to the door and it was opened for her and getting inside Kirby's mom was on the couch watching a program.

Last she checked it was her daughter's wedding why does she look like it doesn't matter? She wasn't even dressed or was she (Yvonne) the one at the wrong house?

"Good morning, I'm...," Yvonne started introducing herself but she interrupted her.

"Yvonne Jordan a journalist, I know. Kirby isn't here she is at the hotel that's where she is preparing from. Take that," she pointed at the table and there was a card and keys.

"For?"

"I thought you want to interview my daughter about the wedding,"

"Yes,"

"Then take that and use it to access the room. You don't have time the wedding will start soon or do you want the hotel management to make it hard for you to access the room?"

"No. Why are you not ready? Are you not attending your daughter's wedding?" Yvonne found herself asking before she could stop herself and her face turned into a frown.

"Didn't I tell you that one day your big mouth will land you into trouble?" Her subconscious mind scolded and she felt like disappearing. To top it up Yvonne saw her stand up and walk towards her so angry.
