Chapter 3: Luxury Car Turmoil

Three days later, at noon, the doors to a courthouse slowly opened. Miranda walked out, her face expressionless, her hand clutching a document tightly. The judge’s verdict still echoed in her ears. Because of the custody dispute over their child, her divorce case with Broad remained unresolved. This meant she had no choice but to continue being entangled with the man who had betrayed her.

As soon as Miranda stepped outside, Broad and Vivienne followed her out.

Broad’s voice was cold. “Miranda, it’s over between us. If you’re willing to give up custody of Winnie, I’ll give you the compensation you want.”

“I will never give up Winnie’s custody. If you want a divorce, I suggest you relinquish custody voluntarily instead,” Miranda replied indifferently.

Broad’s expression darkened, his voice turning sharp. “Why won’t you give up custody? Miranda, if you keep this up, you’ll only anger me, and in the end, you’ll get nothing.”

Vivienne stepped forward, her tone threatening. “Miranda, why don’t you just name your terms and cooperate with the divorce. This is your only choice while we’re still willing to talk.”

Faced with their aggressive attitudes, however, Miranda eventually chose to ignore them and walked away.

She hadn’t gone more than a few hundred meters when a blue Ferrari suddenly pulled up beside her. The door opened, and a tall, handsome man with golden curls stepped out of the car.

He wore a black baseball jacket, his smile radiant and warm. Waving at Miranda, he called out, “Hey, Miranda! Long time no see!”

Miranda frowned slightly when she saw him, clearly uninterested in engaging with him.

This scene, however, didn’t escape Broad’s notice. He squinted, trying to make out the man’s features, but no matter how hard he tried, they were too far away. All he could make out was a blurry silhouette. Still, a surge of irritation rose within him, especially as it seemed Miranda knew the man.

Meanwhile, a few passersby had also noticed the striking man.

“Oh my gosh, is that Tony Clark, the YouTuber? He’s so handsome!”

“I’m a huge fan of his!”

“Let’s go ask for a picture!”

A group of girls rushed over and surrounded the man excitedly. “Are you Tony? Are you filming something? Can we take a photo with you?”

The man frowned slightly, clearly uninterested in the attention. He waved them off politely. “Sorry, I’m a little busy right now.”

With that, he quickly walked toward Miranda, seemingly intent on catching up to her.

Before he could get close, however, another car—a red convertible—pulled up just ahead of Miranda. From the car, Eric’s handsome face came into view.

The group of girls grew even more excited at the sight.

“Oh my gosh, this guy is just as hot!”

“Is he some celebrity too? Are they filming something?”

“His car must be expensive too. So rich and so handsome—do you think he’s single?”

“Hey, can I have your number? I’m 21, a sophomore at Koster College,” one bold girl called out to Eric.

Eric paid no attention to them. His eyes were fixed solely on Miranda. Smiling, he waved at her and opened the passenger door.

The girls finally noticed Miranda.

“Who is this woman? Are they all here for her?”

“I’m so jealous! Who is she? She doesn’t even look that special!” a plump woman muttered sourly.

The girls glanced at the plump woman, then back at Miranda. Now they realized Miranda wasn’t ordinary at all—she was stunning.

Ignoring the stares and murmurs around her, Miranda walked quickly toward Eric’s car, got in, and shut the door. The sports car roared to life and sped away, leaving the crowd behind.

Not far away, Broad and Vivienne had witnessed the entire scene.

Vivienne’s jealousy was nearly palpable. “See? She hasn’t even divorced you yet, and she’s already cozying up to other rich men!”

Watching the car disappear into the distance, Broad sneered. “So, this is your new trick?”
