Chapter 1

~Her Life~

Mae Ailith's POV

The tone of my alarm phone woke me up. And i check the time. 4:30am.. Damn.. I still want to sleep but i have to stand up and fix myself for school.

Tsk. Sometimes I ask myself why those all of my subjects starts at 7 o’clock in the morning? Tsk. It won’t be that difficult if only I am renting an apartment near at school. -_-

So I stand up and fix myself.

After I take a bath, I eat my breakfast and prepare all of my things that I need before I leave. Now I need to text my mom for her to know that I'm ready to go, while my sister is still sleeping.

Anyway.. I'm Mae Ailith Dilla a 4yr college student at ******* university taking Recreation Management. Actually I still don’t have plans after graduation. While the other students are talking about their future, etc. Well I don’t care, I have this mindset that, not all the things that you plan to do in the future will happen. In short, just go with the flow of life.

I arrived at school without noticing the time. I was walking to my first class while listening to the song of Taeyeon ‘Why’ with my headphone on.

Tsk. I’m just ignoring the people around me, since I know that I have a lot of haters around me. The reason why? I don’t know, it’s not my problem anymore.

Everyone sees me as a loner (actually yes), inclement, hot-headed, weird (maybe crazy too) and not a religious type of person. Well as I've said, I don’t care what people say. Because we have our own belief in life.

Soon after, the professor came and started the class discussion. Well, actually it’s been 4th week since the school year started.

After class I went straight to our department where I often spend my free time. And as if in one cue, I see the person I don’t want to see.

"Look who's here, long time no see. Hi Mae." Maybe for someone who doesn’t know anything about our history, it will sounds like a greetings from a nice friend. But in our both point of view it indicates sarcasm in it.

"Nice, not until you showed up." Coldly I response, that made her irritates because maybe 1/8 of the population of our school mates are here watching and listening. And some of them knows that Erin and I are not in good.

"Why? Aren't you happy to see me again? Best friend?" She said sarcastically.

"Well, it’s ex-friend. Coz you're never been my best friend." I corrected her with a flat tone and a bored look.

"You didn’t change at all. For sure, your still have a mental illness." She said smirking. Tsk.. Mental illness. You’ll be the one I will be sending to Mental Health Center.

"Well, each and everyone of us have their own belief. Now, if you can’t accept that. It’s your problem anymore. Not mine." I plainly said and walk towards her. But before I walk thru her completely.

"Oh, before I forgot. I think, You are the one who needs to see a Doctor. You know, give you a proper medication for whatever problem you have." And this time, I said it to her smirking. She may not able to see it but, I know, whoever’s eye on me surely saw it.

Tsk. She did ruined my day. Maybe I should eat, I’m already hungry.

I’m on my way to food court when I heard my message tone. So I look at it and read the message.

'Food court' to Clair

She's Clair my bestfriend. I can’t tell that I trusted her a lot because I still keep a secret from her that I can’t tell. Or maybe I just don't want her to be in danger.

Later on she arrived with Mary. One of my closest friend in the team. Well even thou I’m a little inclement or whatever attitude I have, I still have few true friends that are always on my side to help and hear me out.

"Hey, Are you okay?"- Mary ask

"Yeah I'm fine" I said.

"Best you are a talk of the town. Gossip everywhere. They said their nose bleed because of what happened. Hahaha" – Clair

"Let’s eat and talk later. I’m hungry already."- Mary complained.

"Tsk. Why don’t you just tell that your worms in stomach are gone crazy? You know what? Maybe Alex should always bring you a casserole of rice and a Tupperware of viand." - Clair

"Haha it’s a no Clair, he might use all his savings for the food and won’t be able to buy his dream car. " Mary said.

"Yeah. If that's going to happen. To more wedding to come." I plainly said.

We go back to our department the moment we finish eating our meal. Actually we went to the back of our department because of fresh air that you can feel in there. I was just looking arounds and feeling the wind. It feels so good.

We stay there talking until the training hours. But all of them is avoiding to open the topic about what happened awhile ago, because they know that I don’t want to talk about it.

After training we all go home straight, because it’s already 7 in the evening. And I still have 1 and a half hour for 2 trips before I got home.

Silence welcomed me when I got home. Seems like my sister is already sleeping. So I silently walk and move inside the house to avoid any noise and fix myself to take a rest and sleep.

I didn’t bother to eat dinner since I didn’t feel like eating.

Before I fall asleep, I silently pray for my family’s safety and for more blessings to come.
