(ONE MONTH LATER/ AUSTRALIA)
Lucas held Ava’s hand as they both walked into the hospital and then he stopped and asked Ava.
“Are you sure about this, Ava? I know that I suggested it, but you don't have to do it if you don't want to.”
“I want to do it, sir, we have come this far. You brought me here to Australia with you after our agreement, so I am in for everything”
He nodded, and they walked to the surgeon's office. After a while, a nurse was told to dress Ava up, and she lay down waiting for the surgeon, while Lucas kept staring at her with concern in his eyes.
Doctor. Park entered the room, a warm smile on his face. He leaned forward, his eyes locked on Ava’s.
"Ava, I want to make sure I understand your goals. You're not just looking to repair the damage, but to change your appearance entirely?"
She nodded, tears almost dropping from her eyes. "Yes, Doctor. I want to look different. I want a new face, a new identity."
Lucas's grip on her hand tightened, his expression concerned. “Ava, are you sure? This is a permanent decision."
Ava’s mind was made up and would never waver. "I'm positive, Lucas. I want to leave the past behind and start anew. A new face will give me the freedom to do that." This new face will give me the ability and power to take my revenge on the whole Blackwood family. Ava’s heart was filled with revenge and there was no going back.
Dr. Park nodded thoughtfully. "I understand. We can discuss the possibilities, but I want to caution you, Ava. A complete facial transformation is a complicated and risky procedure. There are no guarantees, and the results may not meet your expectations. You will need to stay in the hospital for at least a week for recovery and monitoring.”
Ava nodded, her voice was firm, and her mind was already made up. "I understand the risks, Doctor. I'm willing to take them." Ava was willing to take anything at that point. She just wants to take her revenge.
She held Lucas's hand and she thanked him. “Sir, please have hope in me. I will be back.. I am strong enough.” she said to Lucas, who nodded his head.
Ava was moved into the operating room, and after they injected her with a syringe, all she saw was darkness.
Lucas goes back home, leaving Ava in the hospital.
He told the doctor to keep him posted about Ava’s health. He left the hospital and went to his house. When he got home, he met his Nana, and Lucas knew what was coming.
“Where have you been? And didn't you tell me that you would return with a woman?”
He nodded and moved back a bit to avoid her flying hands.
“Yes, Nana, but the woman is currently sick, she lost a leg and an eye. So she needs to get them fixed.”
Her eyes opened wide, and she yelled.
“Where did I get such a lying grandson?”
Lucas’s friend, John, was having the time of his laugh as he kept laughing. Lucas told his housekeeper, Brenda, to take his Nana inside. He narrated everything with Ava to John, and John was so shocked.
“You are willing to spend so much for this woman you barely know?”
John asked.
“I have kept her in my wooden house for a month. I can say I know a bit about her. She is only concerned about her revenge. My Nana has always wanted me to get married. You know I have a bad record with women. So, I believe this woman would be the best option for me. If spending millions will put a smile on my Grandma’s face, then I don't mind spending all of it” Lucas said, and clenched his jaw.
Lucas received a call from the hospital, and Doctor Park told him there was a problem. When he got to the hospital, the doctor narrated to Lucas that Ava was pregnant. Of course, he was surprised because the doctor clearly said she had lost the child and her womb. So how is this possible?
Lucas met and discussed everything with Ava. She said she wanted the child removed, but he convinced her to let the child leave. They had to return to the wooden house without her getting her surgery done. After 7 months, she gave birth to a premature baby. The child died, but Ava didn't care as she never wanted to carry Logan’s baby.
(ONE YEAR LATER: “SYDNEY CITY; LUCAS’s MANSION”)
Lucas stood at the edge of the bed, as he watched the Doctor’s hands move with precision as he gently unwrapped the bandages from Ava’s face. Lucas walked beside her, his eyes fixed on Ava’s obscured features.
As the final layer of gauze fell away, Ava’s eyes fluttered open. She blinked, adjusting to the light.
Doctor. Park nodded, her eyes shining with pride. "You're looking wonderful, Ava. Just as we hoped."
Ava's gaze drifted to the mirror on the wall, and her breath caught.
Ava’s new face stared back at her – smooth, unblemished skin, high cheekbones, and a small nose. Her eyes, once open, now glowed with a hint of devilishness.
Tears welled up in Ava’s eyes as she reached out a trembling hand to touch her cheek. "It's...it's me, but not me," she whispered.
Dr. Park grinned. "You will need time to adjust, but I'm delighted with the results. You're a true masterpiece."
She said as she stared at Lucas.
“I am reborn, with a face that will change my life forever”
The doctor left the room, and Lucas sat close to Ava on the bed.
He looked her directly in the eyes.
“Lily Rose, that completes your identity”
She looked at him and smiled.
“Now I am ready to be with your wife, sir. I love the new name and the new face, sir”
He leaned forward and placed a kiss on her lips. She looked too beautiful for Lucas not to hug her. He held her back, and she held his neck. They kissed for about a minute before he broke it. He left her in the room to rest, and he was so confused about why he kissed her.
After a week of Ava meeting Lucas’s Nana, they set off for the wedding immediately, because Ava was in a hurry to get married.
(THE WEDDING DAY; LUCAS’s MANSION)
The priest came to Lucas’s house to bless the marriage, as per his request.
The priest said in a high-tone voice.
“Lily Rose, do you take Lucas?”
“Yes, I do”
Ava said without hesitation and the crowd applauded loudly.
Lucas’s Nana was the happiest as she kept smiling continuously in her seat, and that gave him butterflies in his stomach. She had a rare heart disease, and she only prayed to see Lucas get married before she died.
“I now pronounce you both husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
He lifted Ava’s veil, grabbed her waist, and hungrily kissed her lips, his hands traced down to her hips, but he controlled himself and broke the kiss.
Lucas was in his room upstairs while the party was still going on downstairs when his door opened, and Ava walked in. She was still in her silk white dress, and her veil over her head.
“Sir.. I noticed that you always try to control yourself whenever you are close to me. You don't have to. I belong to you, and so does my body. Do whatever you want with me”
She spoke with so much confidence that he was shocked.
But before Lucas could say anything, the door behind them burst open, and it was one person he never expected to see! His Ex, Emily. The woman who made him give up on love, and now he can never have a soft spot for a woman.
She walked close to him and looked at Ava with utter disgust.
“So it is true that you got married? After spending 2 days with me in the hotel last month?!” She laughed mockingly. “Well, I am here to tell you that I am pregnant for you, Lucas!”
