CHAPTER 4

CHAPTER 4

We were quiet while eating. Our dish was hamunado, my favorite.

After eating, I offered to wash the dishes. It's embarrassing if I only sleep and eat here.

Via said that his older brother's name was Van. I thought of calling him btother too, because I dream of having a brother. It feels good when you have an older brother, I guess. Someone will defend you and you will have someone to tell you about your problems and your craziness in life.

I had just finished washing my hands when Via's older brother called me. “Hira, I will talk to you. Follow me to my office.” I could not speak yet and he turned his back on me.

Talk to you? I hope I know where his office is, right?

"Hey, Via!" I knocked on Via's door. She immediately opened it for.

"Why?"

"Where is your older brother's office?" I asked.

Her forehead furrowed. "Why?"

“He said he would talk to me! Omg, maybe he'll kick me out of here? ” I insisted so she barely laughed.

"No, I'll take care of you."

She showed me where his older brother's office was. It was at the end of the first floor near the garage.

I was in a hurry to go there. My heart is beating so fast. I opened the door, Van's frowning face welcome me.

Instead of noticing him, I looked around. The cool of his office, black and white. There was a table in front and he was sitting in a black swivel chair. That table is a glass.

Wow, really rich!

I saw books placed on bookshelves hanging on the white wall. Lots of bookshelves full of books. It was so good in the eye.

I sat in a swivel chair in front of him even though he wasn’t saying. I winked at him.

"You're crazy!" he rolled his eyes.

I stared into the air. "Crazy for him," I giggled.

"Why are you late? I've been waiting for you for a mimutes now,” he said seriously so I became serious, too.

“Because I even went to Via to ask where your office is. Duh? I don't know,” I replied.

His face was just serious. "Why did you left in your house?" he asked.

"I didn't left, I was kicked out," I defended.

But I was also confused whether I was evicted or left.

"Why were you kicked out?"

"I don't know, maybe they're envy my beauty." I grimaced.

“Do you want me to kicked out you here, too?”

Immediately my eyes widened and begged at him.

"Oh, please, no. Not that."

He raised an eyebrow at me. "Then answer me properly."

I saluted to him. "Yes, sir!"

"How did you meet Via?" he asked.

"Ah, wait," I held my chin because I forgot how we met.

Hmm, wait.

I looked at the ceiling, speculating that the answer to his question might be there. "Uh... What, wait... Uh..."

"Faster," he ordered.

I blinked. “I remembered! Because they are group of girls who's bullying her— ”

"What?" I was surprised at the rise of its voice. "Bullying her?"

I nodded. "Yes, then I helped her and we became friends." I was devastated by his stare. Scary!

“She is being bullied? Why is she not telling me this? ” he said angrily.

I shrugged. “Well, I don’t know. Am I Via? ”

He looked at me so I signed peace.

"Are you sure that's the reason?" its question.

“Of course, what do you think of me, liar? No, no. I just looks like a liar but I'm not!”

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Maybe you're planning something bad so you became friends with my sister?"

My eyes widened.

“You're judgemental! You are mean to me. I'm too beautiful to be like that! ” I added so he frowned.

“Sorry. Via is my only sister so I don't want anything bad to happen to her. I love my sister so much,” he smiled sparingly.

I couldn’t help but cry at what he said. That's the reason why I want to have a brother.

Shit! Sana all, Via! You're so lucky to have your brother.

"Why are you crying?" there's the concern in Van's voice. I immediately wiped away the tears.

"It's just my trip," I joked.

"You can go back to your room now," he smiled a bit. The two of us stood up.

I smiled at him.

"Ah... Can I... Call you be my brother, too?" I asked why he stopped but immediately smiled. He approached me and patted my head.

“Sure, Hira. You can call me brother. I am happy that I will have another sister,” he chuckled.

I bid a goodbye to him and go up upstairs. I went up to the second floor, instead of going straight to my room, I went to Via. I didn't knock and just opened the door. Good and that's not locked.

I caught her lying down and holding a book. She didn't know I was here. Se didn't notice me because she was busy reading. Via's room is nice. That color is pastel purple and white. There are also a lot of books on her bookshelves.

"Hey!" I shouted causing her to throw the book she was holding. I laughed sitting on her bed.

“Oh my God, Hira! I'm about to have a heart attack!” she complained and even hit me.

O.A.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, eyes on the book.

“I'm bored. Let's wander tomorrow,” I said because there was nothing to do. It's boring if we're just here at home and meditating.

She closed the book and sat down in front of me. "All right," zhe smiled.

"But where?" I pouted.

"Cynade's house is just near here," she smiled broadly so I nodded.

"I know," I replied so she smiled.

"You know, huh?"

I just laughed at her teasing.

"They take care of cats, they actually have a lot of cats," she asnwered.

I smiled. “I know too. I once saw Cynade's story on Instagram.”

"I guess you know everything about them," Via grinned at me.

I laughed and shook my head. "Nope, I didn't even know that her mother's name was Eliza, then her father was Cyrenz."

“Wow, you know!”

"Do you know Aunt Beth?" she asked. I nodded.

"Yes, Cynade's mother's older sister."

Via's eyes widened even more. "Wow! I'm amazed with you for loving Cynade.”

I narrowed my eyes at her when I realized something. "Why do you call Cynade's auntie, aunt?"

"Because she's my aunt?" She shrugged.

My forehead furrowed. "Huh?"

"Cynade and I were cousins."

My eyes narrowed. I almost fell off my seat.

The fuck? They're cousins?

I couldn’t believe looking at Via. “What the hell? Are you cousins? As in? ” sh nodded. "How?" I asked more.

"My mother and Cynade's Dad are siblings," she explained.

“So Gutierrez is your middle name?”

She nodded.

“Shit, Via! Why didn't you tell me? ”

"You didn't ask."

I immediately rolled my eyed and jokingly hit her.

"It hurts!" she complained.

“Stupid! Why didn't you tell me? Oh my God, it's a big deal” I almost cried.

She just laughed.

"By the way, if you're cousins, why don't you seem to be close at school?" I asked curiously.

They act like they're just strangers.

"We are not very close," she said, pouting. “But Cynade is kind. He is very protective of his sister. ”

"Zephie?"

Via couldn't believe when she looked at me. "Do you know Zephie too?"

"Yes, of course!" I grimaced.

Zephie is Cynade's youngest sister. They are just two siblings. Zephie is only 6 years old. I just saw her in the picture.

"Guess how many cats they have," Via said suddenly.

I thought about it. "Ahm... 12?"

She shook her head. “No, 28 cats!

My eyes widened.

"So many!"

“Yes. I don't know if 28 still. Maybe it's 30 now,” she snorted.

"So, where are we going tomorrow?" I asked.

"Cynade."

My cheeks get heated. “Really?”

Via nodded.

After we talked I went to my room. I could sleep at the thought of what I would wear tomorrow. Of course, I must be presentable.

I also couldn’t sleep because of the nervousness and excitement. Nervous because maybe his family doesn't like me and excitement because I'll see him again.

I feel like a fool rolling around in bed. “Gosh! We will meet tomorrow!” I giggled.

I don't know what time I fell asleep because of the thought of what would happen tomorrow. I hope her Mom and Dad don't dislike me.

I hope so. Take care of me, Lord.
