Bye bye

Alyssa:

Next morning I got up feeling a bit of pain in my head from all those slaughters I saw in those movies . It was like I saw blood every where . But it still helped me over come my earlier emotions .

I never wanted to get up from the bed today but I eventually had to because today was the day when Blake and Kaden where as you know their purpose of the trip was fulfilled .

So I just got up took a shower real fast , got dressed and headed downstairs as I didn't wanted to waste a moment before they leave .

I headed downstairs and helped my mom make breakfast after a while even aunt Mary joined us in the kitchen. She praised me for my cooking skills as I made pancakes to perfection. I ended up enjoying this session with them . When we were done with the cooking aunt, Mary asked me to call Kaden and Blake for breakfast. I was a bit hesitating to call Blake but as she gave me a very persistent smile I had to go and call them .

Luckily when I entered their room I only fond Kaden sleeping in his bed while Blake's bed was made tidily that means he was up already and was not in the room . I just went and poked Kaden twice when he opened his eyes and yawned I told him to get ready for breakfast and come downstairs but he wanted to ask me a few questions about his assignment as we had same major (business economics) and I was a year ahead .

I thanked god for this lucky morning as nothing over dramatic happened up till now but I was wrong as suddenly the door to the bathroom opened and Blake came out just with a towel wrapped just below his waist.

And he stopped for a second but then ignoring me he continued with his work .

He didn't even said a word how rude I was about to get up and leave when Kaden introduced me his assignment topic and was asking me for tips or suggestions.

I wasn't even listening to him and how can I even concentrate when I have some one all over my mind and the room was getting heated up . I felt really uncomfortable with this situation.

Then suddenly Lisa's face came into my mind and I brushed away all the thoughts and helped Kaden with his work .

When we were done I didn't even realised when Blake left .

We went down for breakfast and everyone was their except Blake, Mary told us that he had some meetings to attend before he left .

Anyways he came back just before they had to leave . I hugged Mary and Kaden god bye . Uncle gave me a side hug and wished me luck for my final exams .

Then Blake came into my view asked me " I am really sorry for my behaviour earlier. I wasn't ignoring you I just had a lot of things on my mind ."

I nodded in response trying to digest what he said . Then he pulled me for a hug and I hugged him back . He came close to my ears and whispered " can we be friends again Al" my heart beat accelerated it's speed .

I just said "yes " really lowly so that no one could hear. But I could see it form his glittered eyes and wide smile that he heard it .

Blake then bid goodbye from the rest of the family and left for airport.

I think today was actually lucky day for me.

Blake: I knew that they were going to announce the engagement today .

I was not comfortable with the idea before but later on learning the real reason behind it I was convinced to be a part of it .

Actually it's not just an engagement to strengthen the bond between our families but also to help Mr Adoms in his business as he was facing some financial problems and he didn't want his family to get affected with that .

Lisa was already supporting the family by her modelling career but the crisis was big .

My father really wanted to help him but he never agreed for the money . So my father suggested this marriage which Mr Adoms confirmed after talking to her elder daughter .

It was sealed seven years ago and now we are going to make it official as they feel that we are ready to get married now that I turned 24 and Lisa is almost 24 as her birthday is next month .

Since that day seven years ago till now I have only seen Lisa as my bride to be , I never slept around here and there like the rest of the kids did but I always told her that she should be independent with this decision and she could be in relationships if she wanted .

Now she was one of the most successful models all because of her hard work even Mr Adoms business was on track so it was perfect time for our wedding to take place .

But as we were dancing after the announcement I found her bit uncomfortable around me she seemed to be confused .

This was all over my mind I couldn't sleep. I needed someone to tell the truth about this marriage and Lisa's confusion. So that someone could really talk to her if she had doubts.

I was just thinking when I heard someone cursing.

I looked close towards the door to see Alyssa there .

I asked her if she was fine . I thought that she would be the right person for this .

"No Al please stay with me for some time " I said grabbing her really delicate wrist . She was so delicate that I thought I could easily break her.

But the next thing she said just shocked me to my core

" sorry but I have to sleep " she said with a heavy voice and then she picked up her icecream bucket and went to her room . She was never so rude and ignorant. She was the one who was always their for friends and if she doesn't consider me as a friend then she could have stayed for her sister atleast .

And who sleeps with an icecream bucket . So I went upstairs towards her room where I heard the voices from the TV . Seriously you are busy sleeping I said sarcastically.

The next morning when I saw her in my room I wanted to ignore her like she ignored me last night but she looked so innocent . So I just went for my business meetings to distract myself . But her innocent look was all over my mind and I thought I should forgive her because at the end of the day she is Lisa's sister and soon to be my family .

I realised I would be late for my flight so I went back to Lisa's house to get my stuff and bid goodbyes to everyone.

As I faced Alyssa I asked for her forgiveness but when she smiled in return I couldn't help but pull her in my arms . I felt like I am losing something so I didn't realised when the next words slip out of my mouth .

"can we be friends again Al"

I new she would say no or would not even bother to answer but she said "yes " so lowly that I couldn't even hear it . But I did and a smile formed on my lips in response.
