Chapter 1
I look around and see only Alec Cawter, in all his glory standing there with his 6' 3" muscular frame towering above me. A mop of dirty blonde hair falling into his eyes and then curving slightly to the left. His hazel-brown eyes that seem illuminated by the gold specs that fill them. Every girl would kill to be here standing so close to him and here I was inches away from the school bad boy. Rumors littered the gossip of my school that he'd been to jail and the fights he was constantly in only confirmed this in our minds. His soft laugh sounded almost like a chuckle and sent chills down my spine. I frowned at him, confused by his sudden outburst.
"You're dreaming Goody Goody." He said, his deep voice like velvet
I jumped up screaming, scrambling to control myself as I looked around to survey my surroundings. I recognized the purple walls of my room before I relaxed falling back onto the pillow.
It was a dream.
Just a dream.
I look over at my clock and read 6:30 in bright red numerals, well there's no way I'm going back to sleep. I get out of bed, placing my feet on the ice cold floor as shivers run up my back. I run to my closet and pick out black skinny jeans, and a white cami. I chose a blue and white striped shirt that hangs slightly over my shoulder to complete the outfit. I could still feel my heart racing as I tucked the clothes under my arm and took a deep breathe to calm myself the best I could.
I ran into the bathroom and showered quickly before changing into the clothes I had set on the sink. I put on a quick light layer of makeup and then ran downstairs and made a bowl of cereal. Both of my parents were already at work so I had the house to myself until 7:15, damn it's already 7:10. I grabbed my backpack and my phone before walking onto the porch. The morning air was chilled but the sun felt nice against my skin. I made my way to my bus, stopping mentally for a split second to check and make sure I finished all of my homework.
"Mae!" My best friend Sam yelled pulling me into a gut clenching hug
She has short blonde hair, vibrant green eyes and pale skin that compliments her fit body frame. A lot of the guys at our school like her but they know they can't have her because she's with Caleb. He's cute with his light blonde hair and blue eyes, I mean he's even kinda hot but I know for a fact that he cheats on her a lot. She just won't believe me, and I hate it. She pulled away flashing me a cheeky grin before we began chatting rather loudly about how hard the homework had been.
The bus pulled up to the corner, and Sam and I roamed to the back. She sat next to Caleb kissing him on the cheek so I went back one more seat. Lucky for me it was open. I sat down before I saw him out of the corner of my eye in the seat across from me, Alec. He wore a tight smirk and he was focused on me. I couldn't help but to check him out, I mean the boy was wearing a v-neck that was tight enough to see the outline of his hard six pack.
"So Mae, reconsider my offer?" he asked raising one eyebrow
I recalled his joke the previous day that we could be friends with benefits and couldn't help but roll my eyes, he was such a player.
"Fuck off Alec." I responded trying to sound as confident as I could
"Awww but that would be no fun gg." He responded slyly smiling at me with his rows of pearly white teeth
"Don't call me gg." I responded my voice failing me for a second as I played with my fingers nervously
"Whatever gg." He responded looking out his window without another word
I stayed quiet not looking at him once. Truthfully I had a crush on him, but there's nothing a bad boy like him wants more than something they can’t have.
"Quiet aren't we?" He asked moving onto my seat, clearly back at it again
He put his hand on my knee seductively moving it in circles but I quickly swatted it away which seemed to only encourage him. He moved closer bringing his minty breathe and heavenly cologne with him. I tried to control it but a deep red blush broke out across my cheeks causing a smile to play on his lips.
"So that's a yes." He stated like it was a rhetorical question
"Not at all quite frankly I hate you and would rather become a lesbian than be with you." I responded moving away from him and running out of space as my side hit the wall of the bus
He moved closer, closing me in.
"As hot as you being a lesbian would be, we both know you'll come around." He stated, moving back into his seat and winking at me before turning to gaze out the window
I swear this boy is going to be the death of me.
