The phone call with my mom ended abruptly. The rough kidnapper in front of me was enraged by her and started hitting me repeatedly. "Damn it! I shouldn't have agreed to exchange with her! You worthless piece of trash!" I felt my organs shifting, the immense pain making me both alert and desperate.
