Chapter 3 - An Article

The day started evening. People passing by were seen crowding the streets of the city of San Mitero. Obviously, it's home office time. Surely everyone wants to arrive immediately and reunite with their beloved family.

A red Lamborghini car was seen driving casually into the gate of Leo's mansion. The sports car then pulled over in front of the mansion terrace.

A man dressed in formal clothes immediately came out of the front door of the car. The man then opened the car door for Leo.

"Please wash the car and prepare the black BMW! I'll be leaving in three hours," Leo ordered the man beside him.

"Yes, Boss!" The man bowed slightly to Leo, then returned to the car.

Leo pushed up his jacket sleeve. It's only four in the afternoon. There's still time to play with Tessa, he thought with a faint smile. He then immediately walked towards the entrance of the house.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Leo!"

"Good afternoon, Mr. Leo!"

Several servants who passed him immediately greeted him in a friendly manner. Leo just nodded with a smile without stopping his steps into the house.

He couldn't wait to meet Tessa. Oh yes. Tessa would have been surprised to see him come home early today. And what's more, Leo has just bought a sports car for Tessa. Leo hopes his wife is no longer angry with him.

"Leo? You're home, apparently." Arnold, who was sitting alone in the living room, immediately got up when he saw Leo passing by.

"Hi, Dad! Yes, I'm coming home early today," Leo answered. He put on a friendly smile for Arnold.

Even though he's just an extended father, Leo really respects Arnold. Although at first Leo didn't agree when his mother said she wanted to remarry that man.

Leo himself doesn't know who Arnold really is. What he knows is that Arnold is his mother's trusted person at the office.

Leo didn't even know where Arnold lived before. Because his mother only ever took him to meet Arnold at a luxury apartment in San Pedero. And that apartment was given to Arnold by his mother.

Strange indeed! Sometimes Leo was a little suspicious of Arnold. In fact, the 35 year old man almost became a suspect in his mother's death.

But Arnold managed to prove that he was not guilty of the tragic death that befell Mrs. Clara Scoth, Leo's mother a year ago. Leo was sure that Arnold was innocent.

The police have even closed the case of the 50 year old woman's death. Until now, Clara Scoth's death is still a mystery.

"By the way, where is Tessa? Why didn't she accompany you here?" Leo asked after sitting on the sofa side by side with Arnold. He then lit his cigarette.

"I don't know, I haven't seen him since this afternoon," answered Arnold, then turned his face in another direction. He was afraid that Tessa would complain to Leo about her actions earlier.

Stupid! Why did he do that to Tessa? Leo would definitely throw him on the street if he found out about that. Because the company he runs in San Pedero is Leo's mother's company. Arnold started to sweat.

"Dad, next week I'm going to Aussie to see how my new company is doing there. Maybe Tessa can't come with me. Besides, Tessa will feel bored if she's alone in the hotel later." Leo lit his cigarette, then handed the cigarette pack, which was still completely filled, in front of Arnold.

"So?" Arnold grabbed a cigarette that Leo handed him.

Leo exhaled the smoke from his cigarette, then turned to Arnold who was lighting his cigarette, "I'm really worried about Tessa even though there are lots of servants here. Can you stay here to look after Tessa?" he said later.

Arnold smiled faintly then took a sip of his cigarette. He feels good now. Enjoyed the kiss with Tessa earlier. Leo will be leaving for Australia for quite a long time.

Oh, my gosh. Wasn't this a golden opportunity for him? Of course! He could freely approach Tessa when Leo was not around.

Arnold closed his eyes for a moment. Enjoy the warm feeling that comes from the cigarette. He remembered the taste of his kiss with Tessa. Truly extraordinary.

"How is it, Dad?" Leo stared in surprise at Arnold who looked lost in thought.

"Oh, of course! I will definitely look after Tessa. You don't need to worry." Arnold flinched slightly when Leo tapped one shoulder.

"That's good then," said Leo. He smiled with satisfaction. The two of them went back to enjoying their cigarettes while chatting about office matters.

Tessa was sitting on the sofa in her room. His pair of eyes were so focused on his cellphone screen. No, this time it wasn't a game he was watching. But an article he was reading. Coincidentally, the article just flashed across his cellphone screen.

Bad sex.

The writing in the article succeeded in making him interested and wanted to read the article until the end. Maybe he could get information about Leo's problem from that article. That's right, Leo can't continue like that. Tessa misses the old Leo. A handsome man who is great in bed. But all that is now gone.

What a lousy game! That's what Leo gave him now.

Leo smiled excitedly when he saw Tessa who was focused on her cell phone activities. Playing games again! Leo shook his head, then walked towards the beautiful woman there. Tessa was only wearing a thin nightgown in dusty colors at this time. It looks so contrasting with her skin color.

Leo smiled excitedly seeing the look on Tessa's face this time. His wife looked very serious looking at her cellphone screen. I don't know what he was looking at. Tessa didn't realize that Leo was already sitting next to her.

"Oh, it turns out it wasn't a game you were looking at. What was that? An article? Here, I want to see it too." Leo immediately grabbed the smartphone that Tessa was holding.

"Give it back, Leo!" Tessa tries to grab it again. But Leo managed to hold it in and read the article. Tessa bit her lower lip worriedly. Leo must have been offended by the article he was reading.

Leo put Tessa's cell phone on the table in front of him, then he leaned back languidly while untiing his tie. "Tessa, you must be disappointed in me now," said Leo without bothering to look at Tessa.

"Leo..." Tessa shook her head with teary eyes.

"It's okay, Tessa. I'm actually happy. You care about me, to the point of reading an article like that," said Leo, then pulled his tie. He threw the tie on the table in front of them.

Tessa swallowed nervously. Leo must be very angry with him. Stupid! Why did he let Leo read that article? Tessa is very sorry now.

"Leo..." Tessa rubbed Leo's cheeks and leaned against her husband's broad chest.

"Honey, Alex said that he knows a specialist doctor. Alex wants to introduce me to that doctor. What do you think?" Leo asked after a moment of silence. He stroked Tessa's long hair gently.

"I just agree. Hopefully the doctor can help with our problem." Tessa looked at Leo's face.

Leo smiled faintly when he saw him, then he immediately brought his face closer to Tessa.

"What about the kiss?" Leo asked after finishing the intimate touch on Tessa's wet lips.

"Still the same. A very delicious kiss," Tessa answered enthusiastically.

Leo smiled with satisfaction at that, "Can we make out now?" he asked then.

Tessa just nodded with a smile. She looked adorable in Leo's eyes.

"Tessa, Mr. Willbowrn invited us to his party tonight. Would you like to accompany me?" Leo kissed the base of Tessa's head who was curled up next to him.

"Of course, Mr. Scoth! I'm your wife," replied Tessa, pinching Leo's nose in exasperation.

Leo chuckled as he brushed Tessa's hand off his nose. Then he pulled Tessa's innocent body into his arms.

"I love you so much, Leo." Tessa pressed her innocent body closer to Leo under the blanket. Very weird! Why does making out with Leo feel so bland? It was a lie, Tessa said that Leo's kiss felt good earlier. Even he didn't feel anything.

Arnold's kiss was more delicious and was able to light a fire in her soul. Crazy! Why does Tessa remember her kiss with Arnold this morning? No! Leo was the man she truly loved, not Arnold! Tessa immediately dismissed that stupid thought.
