My Boyfriend's Secret

I and Andrew were in love for three years. I thought we would love each other forever until I discovered that he was entangled with his sister.

The love that once lingered in my heart vanished without a trace, while the feeling of disgust and nausea continued to rise. No one had ever dared to play me like this, and no one had ever been able to walk away unscathed after playing me.

I decided they needed to pay a price.

Andrew was a standout in our school's computer science department. During our college military training, while other guys were getting as dark as charcoal, he appeared exceptionally out of place with his slender figure, clean and otherworldly eyes, and cheeks slightly blushed from the sun, truly captivating.

To put it simply, I'm an ordinary person who has always liked good-looking people. So, when I saw Andrew, the more I looked at him, the more I found him to be to my taste. When I inquired with a girl from our high school class who also went to our college and found out he was still single, I decided to boldly pursue him.

In fact, pursuing Andrew was easier than I had thought because, just as I had fallen for him at first sight, he had also fallen for me.

Not long after, Andrew became my boyfriend. We had a sweet and loving relationship for three years.

It wasn't until our senior year that Andrew's sister, Linette, also came to the same school.

To celebrate Linette's admission to college and to introduce his girlfriend and sister to each other, Andrew organized a dinner. There was no one else at the dinner except for me, Andrew, and Linette.

But I waited for a long time at the restaurant, facing a table full of dishes. Customers came and went, and even the waitstaff asked me three times before I finally saw Andrew arriving with Linette, who was dawdling.

"You're two hours late," I said, trying to suppress my anger and remain calm in an attempt to get an explanation. "So, shouldn't you give me an explanation?"

At this point, Andrew finally spoke apologetically, "My clothes got accidentally stained by Linette, and..."

Before they had entered, I had already seen the bags they were carrying, so I couldn't help but let out a sarcastic laugh before his explanation was complete. "So, you spent two hours shopping, didn't even bother to call me, and made me wait for two hours."

Before Andrew could respond, Linette, who was behind him, interrupted, "It's not my brother's fault, why are you so mean, old lady?"

Linette was pretty and charming, but her words were far from her appearance, which only fueled my anger even more.

"Linette, apologize quickly!" Andrew finally scolded her, looking displeased.

"She's my girlfriend, the person I like, and also your sister-in-law. Apologize to Jennifer."

"I won't!" I saw Linette's eyes welling up with tears, and she stomped her foot before running out.

"Brother, you scolded me for the sake of others!" Andrew could only helplessly look at me.

"I'll explain to you later tonight."

Leaving me alone to watch Andrew chasing after Linette's departing figure.

My heart was filled with a sense of panic. It was strange; they were the ones who had done something wrong. They were the ones who had made me wait for two hours in the restaurant. So why were they so self-righteous? Andrew was my boyfriend, but Linette acted more like a girlfriend, even though they were clearly siblings, right?
