Chapter twenty-three: a blast from the past part 2

No one's POV

Alira starts crying while the wolves aproach her. "Alira!" Her mother yells and runs towards her but gets attacked by an other wolf that came from the bushes.

More wolves walk towards them. One of them is smelling her tummy. "A baby" He says. Simone starts crying.

"Leave my wife alone!" Stanley says angry and runs towards her. A male wolf approaches him. "I don't think we will" He says.

He looks at the wolf standing close to Simone and nod his head. "NO" Standley yells. The wolf bit her neck which made it break.

Stanley falls on the ground and cries. The male wolf walks towards him and grins. "End his life too" He says.

Stanley doesn't do anything. He is too weak to defend himself and doesn't see a point in living without his mate.

"Get all their stuff" He demands all the wolves. They didn't bring much to the picknick but they had some money with them.

The others also let all their stuff behind when they ran away which the Rogues take too. "Sir what do we have to do with the little girl?" One of them asks.

He walks towards Alira. He grins. "We will take her. She's an Omega, she can work as a servant or something" He says.

Then they hear a loud growl. He turns around and sees an Alpha wolf attacking his group members.

Many of them are running away. The Alpha wolf walks towards him. "Leave that little girl alone!" He says with his Alpha voice.

He attacks him and kills him. He looks around but he doesn't see any wolves left. He turns around.

The little girl in front of him is sitting on the ground crying. "Hello little girl, what's your name?" He asks.

She keeps crying without saying a word. "Do you know where your parents are?" He asks. She just keeps crying without saying anything again.

He sighs and looks around. Then he notices 2 dead bodies on the ground. He walks over to them and smell in their scent.

They smell just like her so he assumes they are her parents. "Oh that poor girl" He thinks by himself.

He walks back towards her. "Climb on my back" He says. She does as told and sits down on his back.

He runs with her on his back through the woods towards his car. "Alpha" His Beta says. His Beta looks a little confused.

"I will explain it later" He mindlinks him. His Beta nods. "Can you place her in the car and hand me some clothes?" He asks his Beta.

"Sure Alpha" He says. He lifts the little girl and put her down on the backseat of his car. He takes some clothes from the trunk and hand it's him.

He holds it in his mouth and walks towards a tree. Behind the tree he transforms to his human form and put on his clothes. He walks back towards the car and gets in.

The little girl is watching a kids TV show in the living room while Tristan talks to his wife in the kitchen. "What happened?" She asks.

"I heard people scream while I was heading home from the meeting, and decided to look what was going on. Long story short, I saved her from the Rogues that attacked her but was too late for her parents, I found them death on the ground" He explains to his wife.

She looks with pity at the little girl. "I brought her here because I didn't know what else to do, now that she's an orphan I think we should bring her to an orphanage" He says.

"Or we can adopt her" She says. "Are you sure?" He asks her. She looks at the little girl that is laughing together with her only son Dylan.

"Yes, and besides we always wanted a daughter" She says. He looks at the same direction as she does and sees his son and the little girl watching TV together.

"She can already find it with Dylan" Tristan says. "Did you ask her name?" She asks him. "Yes but she didn't respond, I don't even know how well she can talk" He says.

Savannah walks towards the girl. "Hey what's your name?" She asks. The little girl doesn't respond. "Do you know your age?" She asks.

The little girl shows her 3 fingers. "So you're 3 years old?" She asks the little girl who nods. She walks back towards Tristan who's still in the kitchen.

"At least we know her age now" She says. "I think we have give her a name then" Tristan says. "What do you think of Angel?" Savannah suggests.

"Angel? Are you sure you want to give her the name of our daughter?" Tristan says. After Dylan they tried to get an other child but ended with a miscarriage. They tried several times after that. Their latest child survived for a day, they thought she was going to live, but she died the day after.

"Yes I'm sure" She says determined. "It also helps me forget about her" She whispers the last part but he still heard it. He sighs. "It's settled then, I will go to the townhall of the pack tomorrow, then she will officially be our adoptive daughter" He says.

"I forgot to tell you something" Tristan says. "What is it?" She asks. "I killed the leader of the group, but when I did I noticed an emblem on his shirt, it was the emblem of the Red moon pack" He says.

Her eyes widen. The Red moon pack is a very strong pack that gets stronger everyday by murdering out other packs and taking their territory.

"You don't think that-" "- they decided to work together with Rogues? I'm afriad so" He interrupts Savannah. "I will report this to the other Alpha's, we will need this bond more than ever now" He says.

And she did forget. She replaced the memory of her lost child Angel with a new one, her healthy and alive adoptive daughter. Sometimes she pretends as if she never lost her child but that she did survive, and that Angel is her real daughter.

No one's POV

Two wolves come out of the bushes. They walk towards their leader who's dead on the ground. "We have to inform the others that William is dead" The male wolf says.

"Elena what are you doing?" He asks the female wolf. "I hear a heartbeat, I think one of them might still be alive" She says.

She walks over to the Omega's they robbed and killed. "They aren't alive" She says surprised. "Then you must have heard it wrong" He says.

"No I didn't she's pregnant! Well was, and the baby is still alive!" She says. "So? It will die soon enough" Mark says.

"We can't just let it die!" She says. "Why not? It's not like we can rip the baby out of her belly" He says annoyed.

"And what if we can? I can smell that it's a little more than 3 months so the baby is developed enough to survive" She says.

"Yes with a cesarean section not if you just rip it out of his mothers belly" He says with a duh tone and rolls his eyes.

"We can always try, if we keep it here it will die nonetheless" She says. "What do you want to do? Take it out of her belly and then what? Take care of it?" He says.

"Yes" She says irritated. "You just want to have the child as replacement for your own child that died" He says and rolls his eyes.

"So what?!" She says angry. "He killed your child remember? Do you really think he won't do it again?" He says.

Elena tries to stop the tears in her eyes. "I know" She says. "But I will hide it from him this time" She says. Mark sighs. "You know what you're getting yourself into" He says.
