Chapter 5

Baron POV.

I drove home straight immediately. I dropped my grandma's grace off.

I couldn't go to the place where I Normally cool my head again and that is because grandma was able to change my mood a little even though it was for her own good.

Now my head is occupied with many things that are unclear to me.

Number one is my grandma. I don't know why she is always against me staying in Chicago, Illinois.

And I am confused because this certain place she is against is her city. Yes, grandma grandma has grown old here and she doesn't have any reason for me being here.

I think there is something behind this but now I have other important things to think about.

The unknown assassin!

The lady terrorizes Chicago, killing the wealthy and the pillar of the country every year.she kills two people in a year.same year,same mouths and even same hour!

And I think there is something behind her killing every year back to use . I believe she is not an assassin working for someone.

Yes I have come to realize that she is a boss on her own fighting for something I couldn't predict. Why is she always successful and uncatchable?

Is she a ghost? Because I have never failed in any mission before and this year has made it complete three years that I have been transferred here and could not do anything.

Those are the thoughts running through my head as I drive home.

After some hours of driving I finally came to my destination..I got out of my car, took my phone and started heading towards my apartment but I smelled danger!

I am a detective and I could predict anyways there is danger… Yes I smell danger.

The closer I get to my apartment the more the danger increases.

I got close to the entrance door and made to open it but head back my hand.

I smirked, turning back and walking back to my car with the determination of going back to the office and checking out some information.

Immediately I got to the car and was about to open the door, then suddenly my phone started ringing,I brought it out of my pocket displaying one of the senior head detectives in Chicago Illinois.

I immediately answered it.

*"hello sir."

*"Good day detective Baron!

Your attention is now in the office and please bring over some documents to be reviewed!"

*"okay sir

Right on my way!"I said hinging up.

Forgetting everything else I run to my apartment and open it to be welcome by darkness.

Then it clicks on me instantly remembering the reason I left earlier.

"Sheet!'I clench my fit angrily at my foolishness.

And I immediately brought out my gun but ….bloody…. I was beat to it.

The gun was removed as like a flash I was already laying on the floor.

I stood up immediately taking my ground but unfortunately I am poor at fighting in darkness!

All targets fail as neither of my blows torch him.

I think the guy is trained in it...he fought as if there was a light.

Several blows landed on my face, nose,mouth, tummy all over my body because any attempt I made to dodge failed.

I fell down bleeding but not given up yet...as I made to Stand again I felt something covering my nose and I began to struggle with him but how can I fight with the chemical?

Yes the darkness world came and received me into their mist!

Next day!

I wake up feeling a headache like there is a war going on and my head is the battlefield.

I hold my head with my hand as I open my eyes gently but quickly shut it back due to the brightness that is coming from the door.

After some seconds and open it again adjusting to the bright till I was able to open It finally.

Immediately my view was clear and as if my Brains was connected to my view everything began to remote back.

Everything that happened yesterday came rushing in as the headache increased.

Deep sigh escaped my mouth unseeing that I was inside my room and laying on the bed.

Thank goodness! I thought and stood up when I felt a heavy weight on me.

"What!!"I scream, seeing a lady laying on my naked body.

Gosh...I finally fell into a trap!

What a mess!

Angrily I push her off making to land her naked butt on the floor causing her to groan out in pain.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?"I ask angrily and a smirk appears on her face.

"Hello sweetheart I like you!"she said seductively and immediately her face appeared on my head.

She looks familiar!

I have meant her before!

I walked out of the mall going to my car when I heard someone calling and shouting behind me.

"Detective Baron!"

I turn to see a beautiful lady dressed like those of club girls,cat_walking towards me. I don't need a seer to tell me before I know what she is up to but sadly instantly our eyes lock and I lose interest in her!

Finally she got to my side smiling seductively at me.

"Hello sweetheart, I like you!"she looked deeply into my eyes.

"Sorry miss I am not interested and excuse me I got somewhere to be!"I said and made to walk away when she drew me back claiming my lips.

What!

What a shameless lady..in the public?

Angrily I pushed her away and she landed her butt on the floor causing laughter as everyone made a joke of her.

"Never in your life…."

"It is not over yet!"she cut me off and stood up blowing a kiss with her hand before walking away.

I hissed angrily while walking to my car and drove off.

"Yes sweetheart!

Remember I said it is not over yet and happily you rid me well!"she said with a smirk provoking the demo out of me and I took the nearby gun and pointed at her.

She laughed.

"You wanna kill me after forcing myself on me? Detective baron!"she said in laughter pointing her hand somewhere.

I traced the direction of her hand and it landed….

What!....Camera!

"Who are you and what do you want?"I ask angrily.

"Now you are talking!"she smiled, getting up and moving to my side.

"The camera you saw has been recording everything live and direct!"

"What!"

"Yes the whole world has seen how the detective baron force himself on me and is called abuse rape!"

"Why are you doing this?"

"Of course, no reason!"she smiled.

"What did you want?"I yelled, still pointing the gun at her but it didn't bother her.

"Hello detective Baron, my name is Bella, be my boyfriend and your reputation will be safe!"

"Never"I objected immediately, making her smile fade away.

"Then get ready to face the consequences!"
