Chapter 1

~ Kate-Eva~

Eva was struggling with her breath as she waited in anticipation for Kate’s response. When she saw that Kate was still shocked at her moves she was forced to ask:

“What do you have to say, baby girl?” she asked and the cold fingers of Kate she had been holding became warm and sweating profusely. Kate unlocked her fingers from hers and a fresh kind of wind blew and they became chilled and dried once again.

“I…” Kate stuttered, fondling her fingers shyly, “I need to return home this minute,” she said in one breath making sure she didn’t stutter.

Eva stroked her hair and tried to hold Kate on the arm but Kate pulled her hands from her. “But I need your answer. What do you have to say about my feeling s for you?” She asked in a mild yet disturbed tone. “I love you, Kate. If you give me a chance to prove it, I will convince you beyond any reasonable doubt that these men you see walking around,” she pointed at a handful of passers-by who were mostly men, “Can’t love. I will make you value your essence and restore the glory you have lost to that mocker boyfriend… Tony or whatsoever he is called. You won’t lack anything under the sun. I will wake up next to you and nurse the path you thread…”

“Stop, stop, stop,” Kate cut in, snorting and shutting her eyes, and she could hear the crackling sound of an oncoming bus and she shut her eyes and remained quiet until the bus came closer, “We will talk later. I need to go this moment, Eva.”

Eva protested, “Heh, Kate hold on.”

Just then the bus came to a screeching halt on their spot, steaming and waiting for them.

“Kate‘s eyes fell in tiredness, “Yes?”

Eva said hastily, “You can’t leave me here. We are going the same direction aren’t we?”

Kate shook her head, squeezed her mouth and then she led her as they entered the bus. There was a vacant seat close by and Kate sat on it quickly and kept a long face knowing that Eva was staring at her and wondering why she didn’t want them to sit together. Eva located an empty seat at the back row, looked sideways and it dawned on her that the passengers surrounding here were boys. Like a mouse from fire, she stood up, nagging under her throat and rolling her eyes. With her eyes darting this way and that way she combed around for an empty seat to settle down but there was none. Kate stole a glance at her and their eyes met and she unlocked from their stare, looked around and only to notice there was a bit room on her row for Eva to sit. After much contemplation, she waved Eve over and she came hastily and sat just next to her. The bus had not driven for too long when Kate felt a soft palm come upon her hand and clicked together with hers. It was Eva’s palm and Kate looked at her and their eyes were consumed into each other. Kate unlocked her hand from Eva’s and placed it between her laps. Her phone buzzed and she quickly reached to it and saw it was a message from Eva which said:

I am so much into you now. I can’t breathe without you, Kate.

Kate read the message, snorted and shut her eyes before staring at Eva’s face which was full of passion and this rare hunger that was common amongst newly wedded couples on honey moon. All along Kate shut her eyes she had been thinking about what reply to give Eva concerning her feelings for her. Brian had been appearing on her mind and she was thrown into believing that Brian had moved on. But she was going to take the risk to wait for him. Besides she wasn’t feeling a thing for Eva and, Kate-Eva wasn’t her turn-on. She had wondered if she will ever feel a thing for Eva some day.

No. they weren’t in the same box. She was clear and exact about what kind of love she wanted; Eva had proven to be an angelic lover to her. she stole a pitiable stare at Eva as she searched for kind ways to let her see things in her light; to understand that Brian was one lover she was going to have whether now or in future- it was a risk worth taking and she was either going to lose or win this game of love. Brian might have moved on with another girl in Miami but she needed to take the risk to see for herself. Hmmm , only heaven knew how she would feel the day she would behold with her eyes Brian fully married to another girl; maybe she would come up with the decision to stay single all her life; maybe she would curl up at a corner and regret rejecting true love; maybe she might be a worse, bitter girl that may never see the sensual , joyous part of love anymore; maybe she might become Eva.

The bus halted and Kate alighted watching Eva stare into her eyes as the morning sun, wondering why she was alighting at the wrong terminal. She needed to alight at the wrong terminal and hop into another bus because Eva had been caressing her palms so sensual that she felt wetness in her vagina; and her lingerie being soaked with it was getting her uncomfortable on her buttocks. She wondered how she would tell Eva that she needed a man now and not a woman; even fingering would never do the job in ways she loved most.

Tony flashed in her mind and she rejected it immediately. Why would she run to Tony because she was horny. She had made up her mind to quit her affair with the bad boy and it was final.

The bus halted at her terminal for her to alight and the moment she stood up to make a step Eva stood up to join her.

“Hold on,” Kate ordered pushing Eva slightly on the shoulder. “I know this is not your terminal. Sit back. We will meet tomorrow,” she said and they breathed hard. Eva was still holding onto Kate’s fingers at the time. Kate watched as her eyes became watery and dead.

The bus driver hooted a horn to hasten Kate’s

“Ok we will see tomorrow,” Kate reassured her and left the bus like a kite.

When she alighted and stood on the road her gaze came upon Eva’s head that came out of the window and she stared at Kate until the bus swerved into the next exit and that was how their gaze was snapped.

As Kate stood she could see a lot in those eyes of Eva; a lot that even made her heart more wet than her vagina and now she could feel two forces dragging her – Eva and Brian…
