Chapter 2: Sparks Fly

"Uhm hello?" Annika tried catching the weird man's attention. He was zoning out in front of her eyes.

Shivaay was already planning ways to trap her in her own plan.

"I thought only your brain had a malfunction, do your ears not work too?" Shivaay caught something offensive coming out of the crazy woman's mouth and focused his attention to what she was saying.

"What do you even think of yourself? FYI, You should get yourself checked. How can you talk about a malfunction in my brain when you're the crazy and desperate one here? Do you just jump any handsome guy that comes your way or am I special?"

Annika could feel herself fuming and a dark red creeping up her cheeks.

Shivaay smirked as he noticed her body reacting, sprinkles of light from the garage giving him quite a view. "Looks like I am indeed special. You're profusely blushing".

"If only we were not hiding under a car, I would heartily express how special you and this moment is for me by making a rather intimate physical contact." Annika seethed. Shivaay couldn't quite understand what she meant but felt flattered nonetheless.

"But since I don't have space, I'll simply give graphic descriptions." Shivaay's eyes widened, did she mean what he thought she meant? "You're so special, I want to caress your crouch", Shivaay felt a shiver run down his spine as he stilled, "with my knee". And just like that he was broken out of his reverie. "You piece of shit, do you think I'm having fun here? Do you for a moment realize that you might be the one who's desperate because what else can explain the tight grip you have over my waist? I mean how can a grown man be so imbecile, unless his brain is really malfunctioning, to accuse someone who saved his life of trying to jump him? Or is it your fantasy Mr.?"

He was completely oblivious to the fact. He looked down at her perfect waist paving the way to her sculpted hips. His hands tightly gripping her waist. He felt a rush. A sudden desire to do a certain something. What was wrong? He jerked his hands away. They crawled out from beneath the car.

"Oberoi" that's all Shivaay could mutter as they dusted off their clothes.

"I didn't ask!"

Annika picked up her bag and started towards the exit. Shivaay staring at her. He couldn't take his eyes off her. He followed her. Awestruck at the way her hips swayed. He has never been so turned on by a woman who is just... Walking!? Seriously?

When he was finally able to collect his thoughts, he couldn't help but wonder why she said she saved his life. And why didn't she react when she heard his name? Had she really been his employee and the rat, she would have certainly reacted knowing that it was her boss who she deceived.

Shivaay chuckled at her comebacks. She was either a very innocent person, or someone too vicious for even a man like Shivaay.

Guess he'll have to find out!

______

Annika was recollecting the entire scenario.

"Why do I have this nagging feeling that I have seen him somewhere? Remember Annika, you don't meet such handsome men every day!"

She stopped dead in her tracks as the realization hit. Shivaay. Damn. Shivaay Singh Oberoi!

A loud honking sound broke her thoughts but it was too late. The truck was inches close to her and she to her end. Just in time a strong pair of hands grabbed her and twirled on the other side of the road. Shivaay. Before she could say something he was carrying her to his car.

"Oh hello? What the... What the hell...?" Annika reacted dumbfounded with what happened within seconds.

"What the hell did just happen?" Shivaay tried to complete her sentence. "I just saved your life".

Annika kicked him wherever she could, "I meant what the hell do you think you're doing? Proving that you're the desperate one?"

In an instant, he dropped her down, gripped her wrist and twisted her arm behind her. He pinned her to the car. She winced in pain.

Shivaay decided he had enough of her. He should remember what he was here for in the first place.

"Where's the chip?" he asked haughtily.

"Let go you mad man!" Annika tried not to show that she was in pain.

"Not unless you give me what's mine. If that chip gets leaked in the media, I'll destroy you!"

With her free hand she took his hand. She felt cold on his skin. Her skin, soft as silk. Focus back. But where was she taking his hand? Fuck no. I'll lose it right here right now- he thought

She put his hand on her hip. Damn did she read my thoughts? His hormones threatening to make his excitement visible. She slowly slid his hand in.. Her pocket. Her back pocket. Shivaay felt something. The Chip!

He didn't want to leave the place his hand found on her body. Reluctantly he pulled out the chip. He didn't know what expression his face had due to all the sexual frustration. He masked it with a smirk "Wise choice".

He noticed her eyes focusing on the other side.

Next he knew was her face in the crook of his neck and his pressed against her neck. She held on to him tightly. Her Jasmine fragrance making him want to do things to her. Her heavy breath fanned his skin around the neck. Every second his little friend down there rebelling. He couldn't control. He pressed his lips against her neck. Her skin on fire. She was so cold. Yet was burning him with desire.

What was this sudden twist of events? His entire body was on fire. He knew he wasn't supposed to get intimate with someone who deceived him. For all he knew, this could be a honey trap to get out of punishment. But it was like he was in a trance, losing all control over his body.

She clutched his coat tighter in her grip. She inched closer. If that was even possible. And whispered

"Get in the car"

As if it was a signal for him, he let go of all his control.

In a swift move he opened the car and fell flat over her in the back seat. Not wasting a second he slid his hand under her top and made its way to the back. She was losing control. Bit by bit. She could feel the sensation rising inside. He leaned and kissed her neck. Her back arched with desire.

Someone knocked hard on the window. "Fuck you" swore Shivaay under his breath.

It was Khanna. Annika straightened her top and flushed with embarrassment.

"Sir, she is not the woman we are looking for! She is Mittal's employee."

Shivaay looked at her in disbelief. What was happening from the moment he met her? But he internally felt relieved that she was not the one who betrayed him.

Annika informed them how she overheard Mittal's convo with a girl who Khanna recognized as Veronica, Shivaay's employee who smuggled the chip to Mittal. She retrieved the contents out of Mittal's laptop so that she could return them to Oberois.

Shivaay finally removed his glares and stared into her eyes.

"I saw that follower and that's why I did what I did out of the car" she felt embarrassed. Shivaay was shocked at their small moment too. But then he noticed something really evident but obscure.

She was hesitating. She was ... Scared?

"What's wrong?"

"Could you please switch on the dome lights?"

" Light's out" Shivaay interrupted before Khanna could reply. "Khanna, we'll drop her home. Move!"

They both sat in silence. This night brought in so many surprises. They relaxed as the car passed the deserted roads...

Shaam bhi koi, jaise hai nadhi leher leher jese beh rahi hai (This evening, like a river, is flowing like the restlessness of waves)

Radio played in the background. The rustling of trees adding to the magic of the ambiance. Annika inched closer to Shivaay, his plan was working. He wanted her as close to him as possible. He didn't want to place any meaning to what was happening. Why a woman he met hardly an hour ago was attracting him to this extent.

Koi ankahi koi ansuni baat dheeme dheeme keh rahi hai (Unsaid, unheard words are being whispered)

She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. Shivaay took time to admire the curves her body carried. Her serene face. Innocence.

Kahi naa kahi jagi hui hai koi aarzu. (Somehow, somewhere there's a burning desire)

She opened her eyes. He was staring at her lips. They could both feel the tension. Their hands entwined.

Kahi naa kahi khoye hue se hai mai aur tu (Somehow, somewhere, we are both in a daze)

Both leaned towards each other. Letting all atrocities behind this crazy encounter behind. Giving way to all the feelings at that moment.

Ke boom boom boom paraaa paraa

Hai khaamosh dono (we're both silent).

Their lips met. Sculpted. Blended. Melted. Together. A soft kiss. They synced slowly. At peace. The cool wind making her lean in closer.

Ke boom boom boom paraa

Hai madhosh dono (we're both in a trance).

He held her waist tighter and picked her up placing her on his lap. No chance of losing contact. Their lips continued their story. Shivers running through her spine. He felt every bit of aroused. The tingles running through the length of his body. She tasted like raspberries. He wanted to kiss every length of her skin. But today was not the day. They broke the kiss and he whispered, "still scared of the dark?"

She didn't reply. She slid her arms inside his blazer making herself warm and comfortable on his lap, rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes.

She didn't have to answer. He felt the answer. His chest swelled as if he conquered the world. What was this feeling? Very unfamiliar. This was not ending tonight. He smiled at the drama he did.. Lights out!
