Chapter 7: Titan Shifters

**Nile's POV**

"A savior huh? Tch. Whatever the era is, people are so irresponsible" I tapped my feet.

"He'll probably be a pawn in a revolt against the Center." One of the soldiers said.

"Before that happens, we of the Military Police must eliminate Eren Yeager. We can't let those Survey Corps have him

**Erwin's POV**

"Are you aware that the Military Police now wants Eren Yeager,too?" Pixis asked as we walked.

"Yes. A militay tribunal will decide." I replied.

"Hmm, Zackley has been authorized to decide whether the Survey Corps or the Military Police gets him."

"Zackley.... Commander-in-Chief Darius Zackley?"

"Right. He controls all the three military forces. His decision is based on only one criterion: whether its good or bad for humanity. If he thinks Eren is a threat, he'll order Eren's execution right on that spot. I don't want Eren to die. But sadly,many among the Garrison fear him." Pixis took out his bottle of wine.

"Do you think you can win?" He asked me.

"No. But I'm prepared to make a proposal. Whether it works will depend on how the inquiry goes."

"Hmm. I see. Alright then. It has been a wonderful walk, Commander Smith." He waves at me before leaving.

**Levi's POV**

Eren soon entered the Military Court and was kneeling on the ground. His hand was chained together. The trial then began. The Military Police started their proposal first.

"We'll hear the Survey Corps proposal next."

Erwin nodded. He introduced himself and presented the proposal.

"The report on Trost's defense says that you tried to attack Mikasa."

Eren's eyes widen as Mikasa covered the scar on her face and darted her eyes towards Rico giving her the I-will-fucking-kill-you look.

"Lying wont make things better." Rico whispered to Mikasa.

Mikasa explained how Eren protected her in his titan form two times. The Military Police then mention that Eren and Mikasa killed three robbers when they were little. The crowd gasped upon hearing that.

"Maybe....maybe...THAT GIRL IS A TITAN TOO!" One of them said.

"NO! I MAY BE A TITAN BUT SHE ISN'T!!"Eren shouted.

The argument continued as I stepped in and kicked Eren in the face hard that one of his tooth fell off.

"Lev---" I cut his words and kicked him in the stomach. I pulled his head towards me and punched him in the face.

"I believe pain is the best way to train someone. What you need is to be trained like a dog,not a man. Its easier to kick you when you're kneeling." I said and continued kicking him,toturing him. I was about to send him a hard kick in the face when someone shouted.

"YAMETE KUDASAI!! STOP IT PLEASE."

I froze in that spot not facing to the direction where the voice came from.

'That voice...it sounds so familiar.'

I ignored it and kicked Eren again.

"I SAID STOP IT!"

'There it is again. That voice. Why does it sound so familiar?....wait....could it be..... Could it be...(Y/N)?!?!?' I looked around hoping to see (y/n) but she wasnt there.

'Could it be my imagination?'

My thoughts were interrupted when Nile spoke to me.

"W-wait! Levi,"

"What is it?" I faced him.

"That's.....dangerous. What if he gets angry and turned into a titan?"

"What are you saying? Aren't you going to dissect him? If he is an enemy, his intelligence makes him a more formidable foe. Still no match for me of course. But what will you do? Do you really think you can kill him?"

I said.

"Sir, I have a proposal." Erwin raised his hands.

"The details of Eren's power remain uncertain. Making it dangerous. Thus, I propose to have Squad Leader Levi take responsibility for Eren's control, and embark on an expedition outside the walls." Erwin presented.

"With Eren in tow?"

"Yes, based on the expedition results, I'd like you to judge whether Eren can control his titan powers and whether be is boon or bane to humanity."

"Hm, then my decision has been made." Zackley wiped his glasses.

After long hours of the trial, we finally won. Eren was sent to my office where Hanji treated him.

"Eren, you have my respect. I look forward to working for you." Erwin smiled.

I sat beside Eren and faced him.

"Eren, do you hate me?"

"Eh? N-no. I understand why is it necessary."

"I see."

"But you took it too far. Eren has lost his tooth. Poor Eren. See!" Hanji forced open Eren's mouth but then she gasped.

"What is it?"

"Er-eren's tooth. It has grown back!" Hanji exclaimed.

"Tch. Anyway Hanji, did you hear (y/n)'s voice when we were in the courtroom?" I asked.

"I'm not so sure. I heard someone yelling telling you to stop. Its a girl voice but I don't really know if thats (y/n)... Why?"

"Its none of your business." I walked out of the room searching for (y/n) when suddenly I bumped into someone. The person was wearing what seems like the wings of freedom cape. I couldn't see the face because the person was facing downwards not facing me.

"Look at where you're going, idiot." I rolled my eyes and walked away.

** (Y/N)'s POV**

You hid in an abandoned building that was slightly destroyed. You sank to the floor and leaned against a wall.

'I remember.........' You thought to yourself.

*Flashback*

The titan ate you up and everything went black. After a few moments, You manage to open your eyes and all you could see was this red liquid stuff that you were in. The lower part of your body was in the liquid. You notice that the liquid slowly pulls you down.

"What is this? Why am I still alive? I was eaten by a titan but----right, titans............that fucking disgusting cruel creature. It ate my friend........ to be exact, my first friend that I've ever made....... And my sister.....You heartless creature,I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY YOU EXIST.JUST DIE ALREADY!!! ARGH! I SWEAR THAT I'LL KILL EACH AND ONE OF YOU. DIE DIE DIE!!" The next thing you knew was that you grew taller and all the buildings, people looked smaller. You looked at your hands. They're big.....could it be?

"I've become a Titan." you whispered when suddenly a titan began running towards you. You clenched your fist and threw your fist towards its face. It's head flew miles away. The body fell and you stepped in on it hard repeatedly.

**End Of Flashback**

You were now in your human form and was crying uncontrollably.

"Why must I be a titan? What will the Survey Corps think of me? What will Levi think of me?" You covered your face with your hands and then decided to run away from the Survey Corps. Not because you were scared that you'll get eaten by a titan while fighting. It's just that you were ashamed of yourself.

You tore the lower part of the cape and tied it over the lower half of your face like a mask. Your (h/c) hair was tied into a messy bun, leaving the bangs dangle in front. In a distance, a dirty eyepatch laid on the ground. You had no idea why it was there but you picked it up anyway and covered your right eye. You tried to change your appearance as much as possible and got up heading to the court to witness the trial between the Military Police and Survey Corps. You heard that Eren turned into a titan too. Just as you entered the court, you saw Levi beating up Eren.He was about to punch him again when you shouted, telling him to stop. He stopped for a moment then continued.

"I SAID STOP!" You covered your mouth and quickly went out of the courtroom afraid to be discovered by Levi.

You wanted to see Levi in his office to meet him when you can hear voices inside and footsteps going towards the door. You backed away and walked away quickly then you realized you dropped the pin that your sister gave you. You turned back rushing over to the previous spot and suddenly bumped onto someone.

"Tch, watch where you are going, Idiot."

You realized that that voice belongs to Levi.

'Levi.......'

You went back to the abandoned building and rested there. The next thing you knew, you've drifted off to sleep.

* Next Day *

*Levi's POV*

Today was a day off. I headed to the Town to buy some cleaning supplies.

The cleaning supplies were either finished or were thrown by some stupid cadet so that he wouldn't have to clean up the place.

"Tch." After buying those, I walked passed an abandoned building and saw someone wearing a wings of freedom cape laying on the ground.

"Isn't that the person who bumped to me yesterday? Why is that person laying on the ground in an abandoned building?" I approached the person and turned him/her around. The sun shone on the face and it showed me a girl wearing an eyepatch and a mask. She has a beautiful white skin. Her bangs covered her eyebrows and she tied her hair in a bun. I was about to wake her up when she muttered," L-Le---Le"

"Oiii!" I shouted and she woke up. She rubbed her left eye and looked up to me. Her eyes widen.

"Who's squad are you in?"

**(Y/N)'s POV**

"Which squad are you in?" He asked. You stared at him and tears started to form in your eyes.

"Tch, you dont have a squad huh? But why are you here? And-and-- ARE YOU CRYING?!" His face were so close to yours that you could feel his hot breath. Your tears escaped from yours as Levi's face soften. He wiped the tears from your eyes and get up handing out his hand.

"Lets go."

You arrived in his office and he sat opposite you.

"I've never seen you before." Levi raised his eyebrow.

You cleared your throat before answering," because I'm not well-known here. No one notices me." You changed your voice a little so he won't recognise you.

"Tch. Fight me."

"I-i'm sorry?"

"Fight me. I want to see how strong you are."

"O-okay."

You guys went to the training area.

When you were getting ready, Levi sprint towards you and sent his fist to your face but you stopped his hand. As he struggled to escape, you kicked his legs causing him to fall backwards. You stepped on his chest when he clutched your leg and pull it making you fall. He stood up and was about to kick you when you dodge the attack. You got up quickly and flipped him over with your strength. He landed with a backflip.

"Too close. Too close." He smirked. He pushed you to the ground and both of you were in a position where Levi was on top of you and you were under him.

'Again?!'you thought to yourself and pushed him away. You stood up leaving the place when he grabbed onto your arm. You spun around and faced him.

"I want you to join my squad."
