Kaos

"Hey, are you walking home alone again?" Fleur asked Zaylee.

"My dorm is near so, yeah" Zaylee said as she started walking away not giving Fleur a chance to ask again. It was nighttime when their lessons finished. The two of them are both studying medicine. They grew close since they are seatmates at their first day at their collage. Everything went smoothly until “I like you” Fleur confessed to her. She felt weird about it because he's the first boy that ever confessed to her.

Zaylee is your average college student. She focuses on her studies more than anything. As Zaylee was walking home she suddenly felt a presence following her but as she usually does, she brushes it off. She can defend herself or that's what she thinks.

She suddenly felt a sharp object being pointed at her. "Give me everything you have" a deep voice behind her said. She felt shivers ran down her spine as she realizes what's happening. She was being robbed. "I--I don't have any money" she said as she shakes in fear, not knowing what to do. She never expected to be robbed specially that she's broke college student who still needs to pay her student loans. "You won't fool me with that bullshit" the robber said as he presses the knife further. "Start walking and turn to that dark alley" he continued as she keeps his knife to her back and walks.

She followed still shaking at what was happening. Once they reached the said alley the robber turned her and pointed the knife at her throat. Tears are pooling at her eyes and she was shaking nonstop. “Do as I say and maybe I would spare your life” He said still pressing the knife at her throat. He rakes his eyes to her body, she gulped knowing what could happen to her. “I will give you my phone just please don’t touch me” she said now crying. “You should have told me that a while ago” he said and placed his palm open still having a knife at her throat.

She grabbed her bag still shaking. She holds her bag and pushed him away using it, as she was about to run, he grabs hold of her and stabbed her from behind. The shocked robber grabs her bag and decided to make a run for it, blood drenching her clothes Zaylee started walking towards the entrance of the alley to get some help. She felt her energy being drained from her.

“I can’t die here” she thought, as she was about to give up, she saw a person walking at the entrance of the alley. “Help!!” She shouted; the person looked at her void with expression. She felt shivers run down her spine as they made eye contact. She pushed her fear aside and decided to crawl towards her clutching her stomach to lessen the blood flowing out. “Help me” she said, voice filled with desperation. The mysterious person just looked at her and smirked. Her senses told her to run for her life-to save herself, but she couldn’t.

“If I help you…” the person trailed as “What would it be for me?” they asked as they grabbed her chin to make her look at them. “I-I would do anything just please help me” she said as she coughs blood. “Anything?” they asked “Anything” she answered not caring about what could happen to her, she just wants to stay alive. Her life started flashing back to her as she slowly slips into unconsciousness. The last thing she remembers is a sly smirk from the person’s face and a sharp pain in her neck.

The mysterious person carried her and headed towards the Zaylee’s apartment. She managed to enter it without being detected by anyone. She entered her room and laid Zaylee down at her bed before heading to the girl’s bathroom to find the first aid kid. She found it at the back of the cabinet under the sink. She headed back to the girl and started stripping her to clean her wounds. She’s not a doctor but she knows just what to do in this type of cases since she encountered this hundreds of times. As soon as she was finished, she headed to Zaylee’s closet and grabbed the first pajamas she saw.

She started clothing Zaylee and left her there with a note that would greet Zaylee the first thing tomorrow. The sun hits her causing for her to stir in her sleep, she suddenly jolted up and checked her surroundings. She looks at her room shocked and confused—how did she end up inside her room when the last thing she remembers is that she got stabbed in a dark alley and was in the verge of death. She Immediately head to her bathroom to check herself whether it was just a dream or reality.

She felt like a bucket of cold water was splashed to her when she saw a bandage wrapped at her stomach. She felt like crying when everything sinks in. She headed back to her bed and sits there thinking how she could pay for her debts when her bag that’s filled with her cards is nowhere to be found. Her eyes caught sight of a very familiar thing. She almost shouts in happiness when she realizes that her bag is just there sitting at her nightstand. She immediately grabbed it and scattered the contents to her bed to make sure that everything is still there, she breaths a sign of relief and laid down and was about to drift to sleep again when she realizes what just happened.

Everything is there and it looks like everything was just a dream, but she’s wounded, her mind started drifting back to the girl she saw at the alley, could she be the reason for all of this? She asks herself. Her eyes fall to the paper sitting at her nightstand she then grabs it. Go to Kaos Company the note says. Why would a note tell her to go to one of the top gaming company in the world? Guess she will find out soon.
