~Reina~
The furious pounding on the door forced me from bed. Gun tucked into my nightgown, I charged toward the door, every muscle tense and ready for a fight. I yanked it open, only to be met by Mrs. Luciano, her expression as severe as ever.
"Since you're now the leader of this mafia," she began, her tone calm but commanding, "you'll need to attend the meeting and learn everything before the ball. There's no room for mistakes."
She didn't flinch at the gun in my hand. She never did.
My ears couldn't really hear a word so I just nodded in response and got ready. I ripped the night dress off my body and went to take a hot bath.
I stepped out, sliding into leather pants and a fitted corset top. My knife and gun sat snugly in their holsters, a reassuring weight against my body. With a steady breath, I headed to the meeting room.
Inside, Mrs. Luciano stood at the head of the table, her gaze sharp and assessing. Miguel sat to her left, his usual smirk absent for once. Surrounding them were fifteen men, all dressed to the nines in black silk suits and crisp white shirts, their polished looks doing little to mask the air of danger that clung to the room.
This was no ordinary meeting-it was a show of power. And I was about to take my place among them.
"Ma'am, our drug harbor in New Zealand is ready to transfer the goods to our main harbor here in Italy," he said, his tone as cold as his eyes.
I let out a sharp breath, leaning forward to rest my elbows on the table. "Listen closely," I said, my voice cutting through the tension in the room. "Ma'am is not for me, dickhead. You call me Reina."
"Send five guards to keep watch in case anything goes down," Mrs. Luciano ordered, her voice calm as she took a sip from the vodka beside her. "You should go as well-I don't want any mistakes."
The room fell silent for a moment before another voice broke in. "Guards were sent to spy on our work," he finally admitted, exhaling sharply. "They managed to escape-except for two."
My patience snapped. "Where are they being held now?" I demanded, my voice sharp as I turned to face him.
"In the basement," he replied, his tone subdued, but he didn't dare meet my eyes.
Without wasting a second, I made my way to the basement, the others following in silent formation. The door was guarded by two hulking men, their presence a clear warning, but I didn't flinch. I didn't need their approval or permission.
I gave a curt nod. They answered with a stiff motion and opened the door without hesitation. The air inside was thick with dampness, the low light revealing the outlines of men bound to chairs. I flipped the switch, and the fluorescent buzz filled the room, casting harsh light on the scene before me.
Two bloodied familiar faces stared back at me, swollen and bruised, their lips split and dripping.
"Well, well," I said, a cold grin stretching across my face. "Looks like we're finally reunited."
"Did he send you here? To kill me? How the tables have turned," I said, clapping my hands together with a twisted grin.
There was no response from either of them. Their heads were bowed, their gazes locked on the cold floor.
I wasn't in the mood for silence. "What did he want to know?" I asked, my voice hard and impatient, cutting through the tension. Still, nothing.
I glanced over to the corner where a hot fire crackled, the rod bearing the Luciano family emblem glowing red in the flames. Without hesitation, I seized the rod, its heat searing through my gloves, and walked toward Amando, my first target. His wide, fearful eyes met mine, but he was too late to beg. The pain was about to speak for him.
I placed the hot rod on his exposed chest, the contact making him scream in agony.
My favourite kind of music.
I watched as the burned deep into his skin, a perfect, searing imprint. A smile curled on my lips as I lean closer, savouring every moment.
"Now, I'm going to ask you the same question' I said, my voice low and dangerous . "And I need a reply, or else...." I let the threat hang in the air.
Silence
I waited a bit longer but when he offered nothing but a pleading glance, I pull out my gun, pressing it coldly between his eyes. He struggled against his restraints but they were futile. His eyes were filled with emotions– pain, guilt, regret and anger– but I didn't care. His fate was sealed.
He was of no use. Just a waste of time.
While the gun was still pressed against his forehead, I ripped the knife from its sheath and drove it deep into his chest. . The sound of the knife slicing through his skin was drowned by the deafening shot that followed, the bullet that tore through his skull.
"See you in hell bitch." I whispered in his ear before letting his numb body fall to the ground still tied to the chair.
The room fell silent, the only sound were the echos of my heartbeat and the distant crackle of fire.
I headed for the second motherfucker, Davis.
"I'm sure you heard what I asked our little friend here, so now it's your turn to answer."
Without thinking twice, he was open to obey my terms and talk.
"He wanted to find out how the drug business is handled and how to take control of the harbour right under your nose"
"Thank you but you forgot one rule my love" he looked at me with his brows furrowed, "snitches never survive in the end" I smiled at him as I pulled the trigger. The bullet went straight for his brain.
"Dispose the body and clean up this place. " I ordered. I headed straight to the bathroom to clean up. I let the water run into the bath tub and came back to the room to get rid of my clothes.
Documents on the table caught my attention and out of curiosity, I read the content. Apparently, Luciano owned a bar club and Leonara didn't think it was important to let me know.
I read vigorously through the document took note of its location and what was done in it. It was already 5:30pm and the club was to open in 30 minutes till 6am in the morning. I took a long bath and I came to see a box on the bed. I was so confused and read the note attached to it.
"Wear this. I know you don't have what to wear."
-Leonara
First of all, cringe, but I didn't have what to wear so why not. I opened the box to see a dress.
Not really my style but okay...
The dress was a sparkling enigma, adorned with tiny diamonds that seemed to anticipate my evening.
A surge of panic washed over me as I realized she'd taken the document. She always knew.
Pulling on the black dress, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. It was a revelation. The short hemline and daring thigh slit transformed me, shedding the familiar cocoon of baggy clothes. I was met with an unfamiliar image: curves I'd forgotten I possessed. The dress, however, had other plans. The ill-fitting bra cup was a traitor, conspiring to reveal more than I intended. My breasts, liberated from their usual confinement, pushed against the fabric, creating an unintended spectacle.
There was another note in the box.
"Marco will be there. My husband wasn't really the owner of the club. Marco is." I smiled while reading the note because it's time for my little plan to begin.
I wore heels and I really wasn't good at walking in them. My height literally went from 5'1 to 5'3. I practice a little while to perfect so I won't go falling anyhow. I was done with that and I remembered that girls put on makeup to look pretty and what not.
I didn't know shit about makeup
Thankfully, I had a little bitch that owe me a favour or should I say favours. I opened the door and told the guard to get the car ready and I went straight to her room. I opened the door and she was there on the bed. At least I know I'm not screwed.
"Can you help me with my makeup. I'm not familiar with that." I said in an ordering for pleading manner.
"Fine" she rolled her eyes at me. I want to strangle this bitch; I really do but I need her at the same time. I told her I didn't want anything much on my face. So, she applied foundation and other things, lined my eyes in a foxy manner because I already had fox eyes, liner my lips and I was ready.
"You look hot and I really want to go out. Can I come with you?" She pleaded making that puppy eye thing.
Sweet mother fuck me.
"Fine get ready but you do as I say, okay?" I asked to clarify before taking her with me. She nodded in agreement and I gave her space to get ready.
