Dangerous Temptation

The morning light streaming through the office blinds did nothing to calm the storm brewing inside me. My heels clicked against the marble floors as I strode into Damian Xavier's office with the daily reports in hand, determined to keep my composure.

"Good morning, Secretary Williams," he greeted without looking up, his voice as smooth and commanding as ever.

My heart jumped at the sound of it. Memories of last night flashed through my mind-his lips on mine, his hands roaming my body, his whispers of possession. I swallowed hard, forcing my thoughts back to the present.

"Good morning, Mr. Xavier," I replied, my voice steadier than I expected. I placed the folder on his desk, careful not to meet his eyes.

But I could feel his gaze on me, heavy and unrelenting. "Look at me, Secretary Williams," he ordered, his tone leaving no room for defiance.

Slowly, I raised my eyes to meet his. The intensity in his dark stare made my knees weak. It wasn't the gaze of a CEO addressing his secretary; it was the look of a man who had claimed me in every way and wasn't finished yet.

"You're avoiding me," he said, leaning back in his chair. "Why?"

"I'm not avoiding you, Mr. Xavier," I replied, clasping my hands tightly in front of me to keep them from trembling. "I'm here, doing my job as always."

His lips curved into a sly smile. "Is that what last night was to you? Just part of your job?"

Heat rushed to my face, and I glanced away. "It was a mistake," I whispered, barely able to get the words out.

"A mistake?" His chair creaked as he stood, rounding the desk until he was mere inches away from me. "You didn't seem to think so when you were screaming my name."

My breath hitched, and I took a step back, only to feel the edge of his desk press against my thighs. "Mr. Xavier," I began, my voice shaky, "we can't... It's inappropriate."

His hand reached out, brushing a strand of hair from my face. The simple touch sent a shiver down my spine. "You're right," he murmured, his voice low and filled with something dangerous. "But tell me, Anna... Do you really want to stop?"

I didn't answer. I couldn't. The truth burned on my tongue, but admitting it felt like stepping into quicksand.

He leaned closer, his breath warm against my ear. "You can lie to yourself, Secretary Williams, but you can't lie to me."

Before I could respond, the intercom buzzed. "Mr. Xavier," the voice of his assistant crackled through the speaker, "your lunch meeting has been confirmed for one o'clock."

The spell was broken. I stepped away from him, grateful for the interruption but hating how much I wanted to stay.

"Thank you," he said into the intercom before turning back to me. His expression was unreadable now, the mask of professionalism back in place. "That will be all, Secretary Williams."

I nodded, clutching the edge of the folder in my hands as I turned and walked out of the office.

Later That Night

The stack of reports on my desk felt endless, but the steady hum of the nearly empty office was soothing. Most of the staff had already left for the day, and I told myself I'd stay just long enough to finish the last file.

"Still here, Secretary Williams?"

My heart stopped at the sound of his voice. I glanced up to see Damian standing in the doorway, his jacket draped over one arm, his tie slightly loosened. He looked... dangerous.

"Just finishing up, Mr. Xavier," I said, hoping he couldn't hear the slight tremor in my voice.

"Good," he said, stepping into the room and closing the door behind him. The soft click sent a jolt of anticipation through me. "Because I need your help with something."I stood, smoothing down my skirt. "Of course. What do you need?"

His lips curved into that maddeningly wicked smile. "Come with me."

I followed him down the dimly lit hall, the silence between us thick with tension. He led me to his private office, the one with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city skyline.

"What's this about, Mr. Xavier?" I asked as he closed the door behind us.

He didn't answer. Instead, he leaned back against his desk, his gaze raking over me in a way that made my cheeks flush.

"I've been thinking about you all day," he said, his voice low and deliberate. "About the way you felt, the way you moaned my name... Tell me, Anna, have you been thinking about me too?"

I froze, every nerve in my body on edge. "Mr. Xavier, we can't keep doing this," I said, though my voice lacked conviction.

"Can't we?" he countered, stepping closer until I could feel the heat radiating from his body. "Because I can't stop, and I don't think you can either."

His hand reached out, trailing down my arm, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. My resolve crumbled, and before I knew it, his lips were on mine, igniting a flame that consumed us both.

His lips captured mine, fierce and unapologetic, and I felt the world tilt on its axis. Everything-reason, resistance, the faint whispers of professionalism-was burned away in the firestorm of his kiss.

I gasped as his hands found my waist, pulling me flush against him. The firm press of his body against mine made my knees weaken, but his grip was unyielding, like he knew I was seconds away from collapsing into him entirely.

"Say it," he murmured against my lips, his voice thick with need. "Say you've been thinking about me, Anna."

My breath hitched as his lips left mine, trailing down the curve of my jaw and settling at the sensitive spot just below my ear. A sharp gasp escaped me as his teeth grazed the skin, followed by a soothing sweep of his tongue.

"I..." My voice faltered as his hands slid lower, gripping the curve of my hips with possessive strength. "I've been thinking about you, Mr. Xavier."

His low growl sent shivers racing down my spine. "Good. Because I've been losing my mind thinking about you."

He spun me around, pressing me against the sleek surface of his desk. Papers scattered to the floor as his hands roamed over me, tugging at the hem of my blouse and baring the smooth skin of my back to the cool office air.

"Tell me to stop," he rasped, his lips ghosting over the nape of my neck. "Say the word, and I'll stop."

But I didn't want him to stop. I couldn't. My body ached for him, and the tension that had been building between us for weeks finally reached its breaking point.

Instead of answering, I pushed back against him, grinding against the unmistakable hardness pressing against me. The sharp inhale he let out sent a thrill through me.

"You're playing a dangerous game, Secretary Williams," he said, his voice low and filled with promise.

"And you're the one who started it, Mr. Xavier," I shot back, surprising even myself with the breathless challenge in my tone.

A wicked grin spread across his face. "Then let's finish it."

With a swift motion, he turned me back to face him. His hands made quick work of my blouse, the delicate buttons popping open one by one until the fabric hung loosely from my shoulders. His eyes darkened as he took in the lace bra beneath.

"You drive me crazy, do you know that?" he said, his fingers brushing over the exposed skin of my collarbone.

Before I could respond, his mouth was on me again, his kisses hot and demanding as he pushed the blouse from my shoulders. His hands moved to my waist, lifting me onto the edge of the desk with ease.

"Spread your legs," he commanded, his voice low and thick with authority.

A shiver of anticipation ran through me as I obeyed, my skirt riding up as his hands slid along my thighs, parting them further. His touch was firm, possessive, and I couldn't help the soft moan that escaped my lips.

"You're so damn beautiful," he murmured, his hands sliding higher until his fingers grazed the damp fabric of my panties. "And so ready for me."

My head fell back as his fingers pressed against my clit, teasing and exploring with maddening precision. The tension coiling in my core grew unbearable, and I clutched at the edge of the desk, desperate for more.

"Please," I whispered, the word slipping out before I could stop it.

"Please what?" he asked, his voice a dark, seductive whisper.

"Please, Mr. Xavier... don't tease me."

His low chuckle sent a rush of heat through me. "Good girls get what they want, Secretary Williams," he said, his fingers hooking into the waistband of my panties and tugging them down. "And I intend to give you everything."

I barely had time to catch my breath before his mouth replaced his fingers, his tongue stroking me with a skill that left me trembling. My hands flew to his hair, gripping tightly as pleasure shot through me in waves.

"Mr. Xavier!" I gasped, my thighs quivering around his shoulders as he pushed me higher and higher.

He didn't stop, didn't let up, his hands holding me firmly in place as he drove me over the edge. My release came fast and hard, my body shuddering as I cried out his name, the sound echoing through the office.

But he wasn't done with me.

As I struggled to catch my breath, he stood, his lips glistening with evidence of my undoing. His hands went to his belt, the sharp sound of the buckle unfastening sending another wave of anticipation coursing through me.

"You're mine, Secretary Williams," he said, his voice rough and unrestrained. "And I'm going to show you exactly what that means."
