I angel

Angels are beings from the spirit world who act as interlocutors between men and God. Wings allow them to travel between heaven and earth allowing them to come and go whenever necessary. Angels are not born, do not die, and do not reproduce without having a defined "sex", but in the case of guardian angels such as Maria Iris, they assume a similar form to the one they protect.

Maria Íris takes the form of a beautiful girl, as does her protege Melissa. She sympathizes with Dionísio’s pain and suffering at the loss of his only child.

Melissa is a kind and dreamy young woman, who loses her life after a car accident on her way to a party. A few days before she dies she has a premonitory dream about what could happen that night...but it would be a simple dream or a warning.

Dionisio is a middle-aged bachelor who dedicates his life to taking care of Melissa. He suffered a lot to be widowed so young, life hits him hard in the heart to take his daughter in that accident.

He has lost all his faith and will to live... it will be up to Maria Íris to try to give him back everything he lost that night.

August 1, 2007, Mexico City.

Melissa was only one year old when her mother suffered from multiple sclerosis, her father Dionisio became her protector, as he didn't even think about getting married again, he wanted to dedicate himself fully to his daughter.

Even if his masculine instincts made him look now and then for some sexual distraction, nothing would make him walk away from his obligations as the loving father he always was.

A few years later, she and her father were on vacation at the farm of some friends from his work. Melissa was playing with the other children and Dionisio lost sight of them for a few minutes talking.

Dionisio - Let's go, Melissa, Daniela is already coming to pick us up!

Melissa - I'm going daddy, I just forgot to get my dolls.

He smiled as she ran up the stairs to get the toys, Dionisio sometimes felt certain things....although he didn't know how to explain why he often had feelings of things that could happen, and that day he felt certain anguish inside... but he didn't want to think about bad things, it was rare that he and Melissa could travel and have fun together.

Fernando - Come Melissa!

They arrived at that beautiful property, it was a grandiose farm... it had swimming pools, soccer fields, and many leisure options.

Fernando - Melissa, I'm glad you came…I thought your father...

He was surprised to see that Dionísio was nearby and listening to that question.

Dionisio - Did you think I wouldn't let her come? You got it wrong!

Fernando - Can we run around the house a bit?

Melissa - Yes daddy you promised you would let me play.

Dionisio - All right, but don't leave the house for any reason.

Melissa - Alright daddy, I love you.

The two ran out hand in hand as Dionisio watched them walk away.

They went to the edge of one of the pools, and soon many other children were there too and they all started running.

Melissa - You're going to fall, you can't run there!

She screamed, seeing that this game could not end well.

Fernando - (singing) You're a coward! You are a coward!

She was just a child like the others and couldn't resist such an affront, she ran with him to the edge of the pool too. On the second lap she slipped and ended up falling into the water, the boy who was playing with her was in shock paralyzed with fear he couldn't help and not even scream for help.

Melissa was struggling in the water, that pool was many meters deep and she was already suffocating, when she saw a girl get very close to her in the water and lifted her by the waist to the edge where she finally managed to hold on.

Melissa - Daddy!!!

She screamed in desperation until Dionisio arrived and pulled her out of that pool.

Dionisio - My love, are you okay?

Melissa - Yes...yes, I am. Where is she?

Melissa asked and looked at the water looking insistently.

Dionísio - Who is still in the water? Who are you talking about?

Asked her father, still hugging her tight and making sure that that anguish she had felt earlier was an omen.

Melissa - That girl in the water, she saved me. The one with the green eyes!

Fernando - Here it was just us.

replied the boy who was playing with her. Everyone was intrigued by what Melissa had said, none of the children who were in that place had clear eyes.

Even that night...

Melissa - I know no one believes me, but I saw that daddy girl. And she was dressed in white!

Dionisio - I don't doubt you, daughter, now you need to sleep.

Melissa - I know you were scared because of what happened to me, but I still want to be able to play with the other kids again.

Dionisio - You are the greatest of all the lessons that God has given me, I've been trying to raise you afraid of the world and that's not right....I'll try to change. Goodnight!

Melissa - Good night, daddy!
