Jake's POV

In Dycin University we have this kind of tradition in our school every incoming 3rd yr. College will be attending a team building that will take place each sections. The expenses will be shoulder by the students.

It will usually take place first day of march and it will lasted for 2-3 weeks it depends on your section where you are going but not less than 2 weeks and not more than 3 weeks.

So all of us agreed that we were going to go .We are almost 50 in our class we choose the d'beach a white and beach and many activities to do. We need to contribute 10k each for 3 weeks vacation. All of us seems so excited.

While Bryan and I were chatting about the outing, there's someone caught my attention. She was the only one who wasn't excited about the outing that would happen she's kind of sad and frustrated. I asked Bryan who he was since he was friendly and good in memorizing things. I was a Friendly but im not really keen on remembering stuffs of other people's lives.

He said that her name is Sydney camille Demetrio, she is a scholar of Dycin University, full scholar to be exact. She doesn't have a parent anymore. Sum it up she is living alone and she is the only one who lives on her own.

I had noticed that he had no friends here I don't know, why they dont want to befriend her, maybe they know he's just hard so he doesn't notice here I dont know.

Afterwards she stood up and raised her hand. She was hesitant at first when she noticed that everyone seemed so quiet and waiting for her to talk.

"Ahm .. C-cant I come?" She said shyly.

"Why?" Our class president replied.

"Ahmm ... I can't afford the contribution" she said it straight to the point. After she said her worries everyone was buzzing like bees well except me. I heard some harsh comments towards her mostly belittling her situation and it's annoying. Im impressed of what she did because she's embarrassed on her status.

"Sorry, Ms. Demetrio but the outing is mandatory, if you can't join the possibility that you will be Octoberian" Our class pres. told her. She just nod her head and seated. I can feel that she was really bothered about the contribution.

I felt pity for her since she was living alone and I know every single cents is too valuable for her. So I stood up and told our class president that I will be the one who will shoulder her expenses. Everyone seems shocked and surprised. I just shrugged their reaction.

I turned to her and laughed as she looked her eyes widen and her mouth left hanging open. I just shook my head and seated.

After our room meeting, I was about to go out when someone poked me. Its her. I smiled absentmindedly. I just told Bryan to wait for me outside and he nods at me.

"Oyy, are you serious? Are you kidding me?" She said with a surprised look.She's still in the state of recovery.

"Yes, why?" I answered plainly.

"Are you sure? Not in debt? Because if I owe you a debt I can pay you back but it's a little bit." She said and pouted. Cute. Tskk whats happening to me i never praised anyone tsk.

"Nah, don't worry don't understand that" I smiled.

"You are so smart I thought you were ugly .. hehe .." she smiled back

"Haha .. You're too judgmental" I joked.

"Eiiiihhhh sorry " he said with a sigh.

I never expected that she has an attitude like this. I thought he was shy and didn't know how to talk to others. But I was wrong she's friendly and talkative but not feeling close. Hmm interesting.

"Well, I'm Sydney Kamille Demetrio, are you C Tim Jake Lopez d?" And she offered her hand and I gladly accepted it.

Im not shocked that he knows me not to boast im one of the famous here on the whole campus and to our department. By the way we are BSBA student.

"Ahh yes, nice meeting you"

"Ahmm, can we be friends?" She said bubbly. My mood seemed to enlightened that she had offered himself which I would tell him.

"Why not?" I replied. We talked and we just talked.

I found out that she was so orphaned. She's really persistent to finish school at Dycin Univ. Because this is his dream school so he tried to get a full scholarship meaning everything he needed in Scul was the school that would pay such uniforms, books and such.

But in the habit, she has a food and allowance since our outing is outdoor activity that it is no longer a shoulder of his hers, so he is saddened by the huge amount he will pay earlier .. to us

"Thank you" she answered. She took a glanced of her wrist watch and shocked it was already 5:00 pm.

"Oh my, I have to leave we enjoy the story, thank you again, I'm leaving," she said. It looks like she's in a hurry. I just give her a smile and nod.

"Bye Tim" I'm surprised at what he called me I really hated it when someone call me that name. It was as good as hearing but im surprised because I was not annoyed by what was called and she seemed an exception and I found it sweet.

Pssshh sweet? Corny. I was about to stand and left when my phone buzz. It was Bryan saying that he was home and he thanked me to wait for him an hour for nothing but he didn't seem to get the root and the fruit.

"Haha .. Silly Bry," after I said it I left.

The day went smoothly and our outing day was approaching. Its been a month with Sydney's friendship. We keep this a secret to everyone even with Bry, its our decision not to spread it all because I felt concerned with Sydney she might receive lots of hatred and criticism in her friendship with me.
