Chapter 6

[Aliyah point of view]

It's been two months since those things happened between Hercules and me.

Gradually, I also forgot about that and maybe it was just nothing for him.

I couldn't help but wipe the sweat off my forehead because it was soaking wet, even though you were tired and sweaty you were still able to continue washing a lot of dishes in the sink.

I used to work in a cafeteria as a dishwasher for food and to buy my mother's medicine.

In the two months that have passed, Mama's body suddenly collapsed due to her illness which is also the reason for her to stop working.

Every morning I am a sale's lady in the divisoria and every night I am a dishwasher in this cafeteria.

Even though I am twice as short now, I still can't afford to operate on Mama because her medicine is so low that my daily salary is so low.

I frowned and looked at my cellphone when it rang, I took it out of my pocket and answered my youngest brother's call.

"Oh Lily did you get called?" her loud cries came quickly to me.

Aling Purita, Lily's assistant, quickly joined us to bring Mama here.

I bowed down while crying "I really need money Aling Berna, because Mama was taken to the hospital so I left the dishes but I'm going to wash now. Just give me my salary for a week." I calmly plead here.

"Your mother didn't do anything sensible! She's always been a burden to you, why don't you just let her say goodbye so you don't have any problems!" I was even more depressed by what he said.

If he can speak as if he is just saying nothing, which child will let the parent lose them?

"Hey Berna, you're so mean! Just give the boy his salary because he's tired of it too!" Aling Purita shouted at him.

Aling Berna quickly took her money container and threw four hundred in my face.

"There! You've only been in here for four days and from now on you're fired!" he said and drove us away.

I sobbed and picked up the four hundred he gave me so Aling Purita hugged me "Daughter, accept this, I'm sorry because my family and I are also in need, you know my son Jun hasn't sent it yet." Aling Purita handed me the three thousand which I immediately accepted.

"I will not refuse it because I need it, thank you very much Aling Purita." he just smiled sadly at me and hugged me again.

Now that I'm in the hospital and stunned, I'm thinking about where I'm going to get Mama's surgery. Now that my work has been reduced, it seems that we will have a harder time.

"I promise, I will study hard and when I grow up and work with you, I will pay you for the help you will give to my family." Tito Hendrick nodded and grinned strangely.

"You must Iha, because when the time comes I'm sure he'll really charge you so it's good that you're ready." he said meaningfully but I don't know why my heart felt scared.

"Ate, the Chavilires are very smart, besides the man you talked to earlier, I only saw him on TV. He's handsome in person." I smiled at what Lily said.

Mr. is really handsome. Hendrick and Cassey's other uncles. Even if they are older, they look like Ian Veneracion or Gabby Eigelman who are just getting tired.

Seven years later

"Congratulations Son!" I quickly hugged Mama and Lily after I got off the stage.

Today is my graduation from the business administration course. It's been more than seven years since Mama got sick and now we don't have any more problems.

They even want Mommy and Daddy in case I'm embarrassed so it's just Tito and Tita.

In Cassey's life, he is really very luxurious. The woman who just cleaned Aling Berna's cafeteria with me is now a Hollywood Actress and Model.

The distance between the two of us became even wider. But even so I am still happy with what I have now.
