They crashed into the room, not even bothering to stop pawing at each other. “I miss you so much,” Vincent told her when they finally broke apart and started undressing. It was true, although he hadn’t planned on telling her that. He also hadn’t planned on sleeping with her until he saw her.
“I miss you too,” she sounded like she didn’t want to admit it, but he would take it. “Please, Vince.” He stepped out of his pants and looked at her. She was standing there in nothing but I very sexy pair of lace panties. No bra and he instantly remembered what her breasts felt like in his hands. “I need you to touch me, so I know this is real.” She swallowed hard. She was nervous, but more than that, she was worried that he would come to his senses. She had been dreaming of them seeing each other again and it was going the way her favorite fantasies always did. She wanted this to be real more than anything she had ever wanted.
“It’s real,” he whispered. He had the same fears. Thinking about her every day didn’t help him get any work done. He stepped forward determined to make the night count. This would be the closure they both needed. One night wouldn’t put her in danger. He made a vow and he would keep it. She would be safe forever from him and his world. He ran his hand along her cheek, smiling. He would never give himself to anyone the way he had her. “I love you, still,” he offered. He knew it was selfish to tell her that and give her hope but he wanted all of her tonight. Her heart had to be in it or he would never be able to think about her again.
“I love you too.” A tear slid down her face. She wasn’t stupid. He hadn’t changed his mind. She could see it in his eyes, knew him too well. He had set his mind to it and he would follow through no matter how much it hurt him. No matter how much it hurt her. Because her pain wouldn’t be as painful as it would be if his life hurt her. “I hate you too,” she added. She wanted him to know that this didn’t mean he was off the hook.
“I hate me too,” he whispered, still afraid speaking louder would break the magic that was happening. He crashed his lips to hers and moved her back toward the bed. ‘I hate me more than you ever could,’ he thought to himself. He reached for her panties and pulled them off quick.
“Such a caveman,” she shook her head before biting her lip. She liked that about him and he knew that. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pulled him down on top of her. “I need you,” she spoke against his lips. She meant it in so many ways but knew that she could only have it in one of those. For one night.
“You have me,” he told her as he slid into her. She felt tighter than she had the first time they had been together. He knew that it was impossible though. He hadn’t grown and while he had run off ever date that she had gone on since they separated, he knew that she could have gotten it somewhere. Maybe she used some toys? “Have you been with anyone?” It slipped out, he hadn’t meant it to. She shook her head, he breathed a sigh of relief. ‘You are such an asshole.’
He ignored his thoughts and focused on slamming into her. He would make her cum quick to remind her that who she belonged too. Later he would give into his real wants and make love to her. He needed to burn off both of their anger at the situation and him.
“How could I possibly when your dogs are always running men off?” She lifted her hips, locked a leg around his hip and tried to flip him over. He chuckled and she growled.
“You growl now too?” He flipped them. “That was my thing.”
“You don’t get to have everything,” she glared down at him as she sat up on top of him and moved her hips causing him to groan.
“Don’t I know it,” he met every move she made. He would make sure that she felt him for the next week. He had no idea how he would make sure she didn’t move on after that though. ‘Asshole,’ he scolded himself. What was wrong with him? He had to let her go. It was not fair to keep her tied to him when he couldn’t give her what she wanted and needed.
He focused on making her feel good. He reached between them and rubbed his thumb over her clit. He felt her body shutter. It made him grin wide. “Vince,” she moaned, leaning closer, “please.”
“Let go. Give in,” he told her. It was like his words were all she needed because she did exactly what he told her. He sat up and kissed her gently. Now it was time to show her how much he loved her. He couldn’t care how it wasn’t fair to her or even him. He had to let her know. “I’m not done with you.”
They spent the rest of the night making love. They both knew what the morning would mean but neither mentioned it. They just focused on each other and the connection they would never find with anyone else again.
When the sun came up, Vince opened his eyes and suppressed a groan. He hadn’t felt his body this sore ever. He turned and looked down at Rebecca with a smile. He had to leave. Work wouldn’t wait until he had enough of her. That would take forever any way. So, climbing out of bed, he kissed her head. Before tiptoeing to the bathroom. He turned the shower on and got in. The hot water felt amazing and he rolled his shoulder.
“Sore?” He heard her ask him. Turning, he saw her standing inside with him. Closer than was good for what he needed to do. He only nodded, afraid his voice would give him away. This was hard for him. “Let me help,” she said moving toward him.
“Rebecca…”
“Don’t,” she interrupted him. Grabbing his arm, she turned him around and started rubbing his shoulders. “Can we not. Just for now?” He could hear the plea in her tone.
“I have to get back to work.” He didn’t want to go. He wanted to stay in the hotel room with her forever. He had the money but there was no way that his father would allow it.
“I have today off. And I don’t work until the night shift tomorrow,” she said it as if she was just telling him a fact but didn’t mean anything by it. Could he spare a day?
“Rebecca…” he tried again. He knew the longer he stayed with her the worse it would be.
“Please, Vince.” This time there were tears in her voice and he knew that he couldn’t deny her.
“Just until you have to work tomorrow.” She didn’t say anything more, just kept rubbing his shoulders. He didn’t say thing more either. There was nothing more to stay. Tomorrow they would say goodbye until then he would spend their time together the way they would have if things had been different. If he had been different.
