Chapter 4 The deal

Abby's POV

I went on the company as early as I can to be prepared for the upcoming meeting with the stakeholders I saw Chaeng and Jisoo entering the elevator so I run into them, they are my friends way back when we we're high school we attended the same school. sometimes we hangout but right now that we're busy we haven't talked to each other yet

" oh Abby, its been a while so how was the work with our president, " Chang said while drinking and eating a donut

"it fine, she's so kind to me "

" maybe she was hitting on you," Jisoo said in a naughty tone

"I saw you last night, at Liam's car," Chaeng said while taking a bite on her donut

Jisoo looked at me in a mischievous look

" you know chaeng our friends is hiding something on us, I can smell it, " Jisoo said and let out a naughty smile

" Jesus " I let out when I saw Liam in front of me. Liam smiled at me

" Good morning ladies "

" Good morning Ma'am," we said quickly

I saw Jisoo exchange a mischievous look with Chaeng while I remained standing like a statue in front of her with my hand on my chest which beating rapidly

" Abby, I need you in the conference room in 5 minutes, drink some water, calm down okay ?"

I nodded, and she left the elevator, letting me breathe naturally

" see you later Abby " jisoo said while exchanging a glare with chaeng and let out a devilish smile at me

I walked in a quick way to the conference room, it was time to present the project and papers that Liam and I worked on for the whole day yesterday when I entered the room, I saw her talking with a brown-haired man, her appearance was serious and somewhat worried I distribute and handed the necessary papers to each of the meeting's attendees the whole team was there performed by the people in charge of each sector of Lee enterprise, including chaeng and jisoo. I sat down so that Liam can start the meeting

"can we start now ?" she asked while her eyes on me

" yes, ma'am. Everything is set up and ready "

" Okay let's start then "

this is her first deal contract as a new president, I couldn't notice any single hint of nervousness on her action and voice the way she speaks is so firmly and imposing. she explained every page of the sheets without trembling. She had a unique way of being her voice was raspy and sexy even unintentionally she was explaining calmly sometimes she looked at me and I smile shyly at her

I didn't notice that the meeting already lasted because when I noticed Liam was already being applause and the presentation is over

" congratulation Liam your report sheets are impressive "

" thank you jungyeon. I must say that I had big help from Ms. Kim i assure you that without her I couldn't finish and do all of this "

I looked at her and I was surprised by what she said I wasn't expecting that she would also give me a credit for the report sheet. I blushed instantly when everyone looked at me.

" congratulation Ms. Kim you two did an excellent work on these "

"thank you, sir," I said and I saw Liam smiled at a sweet way

" Can we sign the contract now ?" Liam asked

"Absolutely and definitely yes," the man with a brown hair said excitedly

at the end of the meeting. Liam said goodbye to everyone, most of the people left the room happy and some are not. I saw Andy flashed a fake smile at Liam who was happy about the result of the meeting he was probably frustrated because they agreed and deal on Liam's proposal than his proposal

Liam's POV

I don't know where my mind was at, but I found my self hugging Abby sighing in a relief way. Abby has a good and comforting hug

" We did it, " I said that made Abby surprised by my expression and let's just say so I am, that contract is the biggest one in the history of the company and my first-ever contract as the new president

" Thank you, Ms. Kim, for helping me a lot," I said looking away from her eyes "

" No need to thank me Ms.Lee the presentation is yours "

" but the effort behind it wasn't the only mine, and I'm sure that without your help I wouldn't have succeeded "

we stared at each other for a few seconds when we felt someone's presence.

" congratulation Ms. Lee "

"thank you jisoo and chaeng, but without the help of your friend I will not able to succeed

this contract "

" We already know how our friend Abby works. we know how efficient she is"

" I will leave you here, I'm going to my office to take something to drink "

she left us and I can see how chaeng and jisoo glared at me

" is there something between you and Ms. Lee? "

" stop saying nonsense Jisoo, its just work "

"I smell something weird going on Abby "

" ugh whatever I'll leave you two here, just call me when you're going to sleep on my apartment "

I went to Ms. Lee's office and I heard her talking to someone on the phone

Liam's POV

" hello oh raven, how are you and dean doing bro? "

"Yeah we're fine here, how about you ?"

" I'm fine, I just close a big contract deal today bro, but don't tell dad first "

" okay fine by the way we are going in Korea tomorrow to celebrate your successful project with dean, cess, and cep "

" bro you don't need too, I'm still busy this coming few days," I said as an alibi to her

" oh come on we're just going on vacation maybe 3 days is enough ?"

" Okay fine, just use my private jet for fewer expenses "

"Okay as you said, bro "

Call ended

as I turn to my table I saw Abby standing in the front of me

" Jesus, you scared me, Abby "

"Uhm sorry for that "

"it's okay, I just got a call from my friends from New York, they said that they were coming here in Korea tomorrow for vacation and celebration "

"hmmm is that so ?"

" Yeah, hmm Abby ?"

" yes, Ma'am? Do you need something "

"I know that this sounds weird, hmm but can you pretend to be my girlfriend when they arrived? , it's just because they are so annoying when I'm alone with them I guess I'm at the 5th wheel again but it's okay if you don't want to "I said shyly

" yes, it's okay for me " she said and I saw her face turning red and blushing

" are you sure? thanks, Abby " I didn't notice that I already hugged her again

she cleared her throat and I get off her

" pack your things and we're going to Jeju island as they arrived here "

" Okay ma'am"

" Abby? "

" yes? "

" thank you "

she let out a wide smile and left my office

Abby's POV

do i hear it right? she wants me to pretend to be her girlfriend? heck, it sounds crazy but I like it to be called her girlfriend, I don't know but I think I'm crazy for her although it's just 4 days since we met each other the first time I saw her I knew there's something on her that keeps me wanting her.

I went out of her office with a smile on my lips I can't keep smiling from what she said.

after a few hours later Ms. Lee dismiss me early and drive me home

" you don't need to drive me home always I can take a cab "

" But if my friends find out that I didn't care for my girlfriend they will call me a childish and don't have a commitment on you," she said letting out a naughty smile

" okay fine," said and I can feel my face is burning

she accompanies me thru my apartment door

" so take a rest now my Abby, don't forget to pack your things for our vacation

see you, babe "

she said and she kissed me on my for head

" wait is that at the part of our deal? "

" hmm nope, you don't want to? "

" whatever goodbye "

I close the door of my apartment because I don't want her to see me blushing again and again what did she do to me, my heart keeps beating so fast and rapidly I went to my room and jump to my bed and scream so loud.
