Frozen Heart

The girl with a frozen heart? It seems like I’m a cold-hearted mammal with that term. Is that really me? Well, that’s what they usually describe me as. Because I’m like that… no emotions and I don’t want to fall in love. You might think that I never fell in love before. Well, that’s not true cause I had three girlfriends and yes, I’m a lesbian.

I take relationships seriously that’s why all my relationships lasted long. But the last one, let’s just not talk about it. I’m getting out of my focus.

I’m Krystalance Vergara, one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the Philippines. Because at the age of 25, I own the famous hangout place COFFEE, EAT, BAR (CEB). The first floor is a café resto and the second floor is a bar while I live in the rooftop of this building. This was just part of my dream, but I didn’t realize that I will lose a big part of my dream. If you’re curious about it, just as I said earlier, I don’t want to talk about it. Anyway, I was able to build this business because for the past 5 years, I worked really hard day and night but of course my social life with my friends will always be a part of my life.

My business became famous easily because of my connections and friends. Told you I’m not a cold-blooded mammal. Well, this became the hangout place of my different groups of friends (high school, college, and some officemates, also some other common friends).

Everything is doing great but there’s always something that’s missing but it’s okay. My friends always tease me that I need to get a love life. They always have someone to set-up a date with me but I really don’t want one. I don’t know why but it’s really hard for me. I’m okay with some flings every now and then. Someone that just comes and goes, and that’s okay for me now. No commitment. I’m sweet and caring with my friends but for love? My heart is stone cold for it.

“Someday, you’ll eat those words!” Jam said, she’s my long-time best friend since college.

“Oh, you know she really loves to eat some…” Cole was laughing hard with a smirk on his dirty remark. He’s my gay best friend since high school.

Then everyone in laughed with him.

“Shut up.” That’s all that I said.

In a few minutes, some of my friends just came in the bar but wait I think they’re with someone new?
