From Shadows, the Silent Wolf Rises

As I turn to face the ones shouting my name, I can hear snarling and growling all around me. As I approach a woman who has been pinned by a rampaging wolf, I am struck so hard that my arm breaks. I moan when I experience pain. I can't move for whatever reason, and my arm is clearly wounded.

As the wolf sinks its teeth into her neck and shoulder, I raise my head in response to her horrifying scream.

No! I scream and jump to my feet, but I can't get to the woman because there are at least ten wolves around me. As they encircle me, my gaze darts around in a little circle. shit.

They will all attack me once.

They strike as soon as I know what is going on. I avoid the first several, but when one of them clamps down on my leg and pulls off a large part of my skin, I scream. I try to keep my stance, but it is unsuccessful since more wolves charge at me, stopping me from doing so. I fall to my knees with a thud as they claw me in all directions, making it impossible for me to anticipate the attack.

There's no way out.

I'm unable to save them.

I'm unable to save myself.
