Friends With Love

"Where is my baby momma though?" I hear him all the way up the stairs in my room from the living room. He can never come into my house like a normal person. Tyler comes crashing into my room and sits on top of me while I am laying in the bed. I groan as I struggle for air.

"Are you ever going to come into my house like you have some sense?" I squeeze out in between breaths.

"Girl please! You know I practically live here." He climbs off of me and lies down beside me on the bed.

"Who let you in anyways? Isn't the rest of my family gone?"

"Your mom was leaving as soon as I showed up. I can tell she loves me." He is smiling all big looking like a big kid. I roll my eyes. Of course she does, my mom loves any of my friends like her own kid.

"And how can you tell that?"

"Because she gave me a Snickers." He starts unwrapping it and takes a big bite. "You want shum?" A Snickers forces its way into my face and I shove his arm back.

"Ew, you know I don't like Snickers!"

"Oohhh yea. You are the weird friend." I roll my eyes and go back to scrolling down my laptop screen window shopping.

"Whatever."

"Anyways I came to see if you want to come somewhere with me tonight?"

"Sure, where are we going?" He lifts himself up off of the bed. I close my laptop and set it down in the spot he was sitting in. I slide my feet into my shoes I wore today and reach for him to pull me up.

"The guys and I got invited to some party." His phone starts buzzing in his pocket. He pulls me up with one hand and fishes in his pocket for his phone with the other. I don’t have to see the caller I.D. to know who it is. His girlfriend is very protective and nosy.

"House call!" I say this teasing him as I walk into the bathroom. His girlfriend's name is Tanisha and she loves her some Tyler. She would do anything for that boy, but he complains about her being kind of clingy all the time. It annoys him, but he says the fact that she will literally do anything for him apparently comes in handy sometimes. And he said she gives amazing head. Just the thought of that conversation makes me roll my eyes even though I am alone in the bathroom. I am finally able to get my hair into a messy bun. I put some more mascara on my eyelashes and gel down my edges. As I put my foot on the toilet to lace up my shoes Ty comes into the bathroom and sits on the sink.

"I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to put up with her, man."

"Didn't you two just get together like a week ago?"

"Yea, and she's already driving me crazy. She always has to know where I am, what I'm doing, and who I'm with. Then when I honestly tell her she gets mad if it's not something for her or with someone she doesn't like. Too much stress." I laugh as I look back in the mirror again.

"Is she riding with us to the party?" He nods his head yes.

"That is what she was mostly mad about. That I am here picking you up first and not her."

"Well won't this be a fun ride." I put all my sarcasm into the sentence. "You love giving that girl reasons to hate me." I hear him laugh as we walk down the stairs.

"Ree, she hates you solely because you are a female in my life. There is nothing I could do or say that could make her hate you more than she already does." I let out a breath even though I know he is telling the truth.

"Yea, you're right."

"I know." I feel him slap my butt before he opens the front door for me to walk through. "Now lets go!"
