Chapter 2

Lily and I both went to our rooms. I was lying on my bed going through my Facebook and Instagram. And a text message comes through from Bryan.

Bryan Hall is my boyfriend. We have been together a year now. He has brown messy hair and brown eyes. He is the captain of our football team and also the most popular boy in our school. We met at this coffee shop. Cat Island Coffeehouse. They have the best cappuccinos in town.

I open the text and it said:

“Hi Ad. Can we talk?”

“Yes. What is going on?” I text back.

“Meet me at our place in an hour.”

“Okay baby.”

I quickly get up and go take a shower. I was still in my sweatpants and t shirt, covered in dust from helping Nora. I get out of the shower and take out a turquoise skirt, with a black tube top and light brown sandals. I get dressed and do my hair, and I put on some mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss. I let my hair down like always.

I get my keys of my Audi Convertible and I get my purse, I put my phone in my purse. I told Lil that I am going to meet with Bryan and I left the house and drove to Cat Island Coffeehouse.

I get there and make my way inside. Bryan waves at me, he was sitting in the corner. I make my way to him. He kissed me on the cheek, which I thought was really weird. And I look at him confused. He steps away and we both sit down. He looked a bit nervous, looking around. The waiter comes to our table. Bryan already had a coffee.

“Can I get you anything?”She asked me.

“Can I get a cappuccino?”She nods and left our table.

“So what is going on?”

“Ad. We need to talk.”Bryan says.

“You are acting really weird.”

The waitress comes back with my cappuccino, I stare at Bryan and he looks around.

“Thank you.”I say to the girl and she leaves.

“Addi, I think we should take a break.”Bryan says, looking down to his coffee.

“What do you mean we need to take a break?”

“This is not working anymore.”He says and he just stares at his coffee. Funny cause I thought things were going great.

“Where is this coming from?”I ask.

“I think we should see other people.”He says.

“Is there someone else?”

“I can not do this anymore Ad.”

I shook my head at him, looking down to my cup. Trying hard not to breakdown in tears. Bryan was the one thing in my life that made everything better. To help me cope with everything.

“Are you breaking up with me?”I ask in a whisper.

“Yes.”there was no emotions with him. He just looks down.

And I stood up.

“I do not need you. You will regret this one day.”I say acting all brave. And he chuckles.

“You need me Addi.”he smiles.

“No I do not. I can find anyone I want.”I say with confidence but more hoping he would change his mind.

“Are you challenging me?” he asks.

“Yes.”I say without thinking.

“We will see Addi.”He says smirking. I gave him a glare and just walked away from him.

I left the coffeehouse and went to my car. I get in my car and I lean my head against the steering wheel and some tears escapes my eyes. My phone rings and I look for it in my purse. I get it and on the caller id it says Chloe. And I answered it.

“Hey.”I wipe my tears away.

“Girl. Where are you?”

“Um… I am at home.”

“We are at Olivers party. Are you coming?”

“Yeah… Let me just get change then I will come.”

“Well hurry up.” she says and she hangs up the phone. I put it on the seat and I drove back home.
