Chapter 4

DM Pov

"It's Dwayne." Grandma Irene, grandfather Ignacio's sister, happily welcomed me. "I have a feeling you're coming that's why I prepared your favorite foods."

I smiled and hugged the old man tightly. "How are you?" I will ask.

"I'm fine, aren't you? Oh, I watched the last competition on TV, you're so good." He said and ruffled my hair. This is the only thing I can say that makes me proud of what I do

I put my arm around him. "Of course I'm doing it for you. You know that you are one of my inspirations."

"Sure...but maybe you're tired, you know you should rest while they're not done cooking." It said. It led me to the room.

I didn't really plan to go here to the hacienda, but because I didn't want to talk to daddy and grandpa Ignacio, I thought of going here. I can only relax here. Because I couldn't sleep, I went to the hut where the photos I wanted to see were.

I caressed the big frame. "Grandpa Ingrid." I whispered. "Are you happy for me?" I will ask. "I miss you so much." I said softly and remembered what he told me before.

'When you grow up, just follow what your heart calls out, follow what you want to achieve. What is right is what you do, my grandson.' he said while hugging me. I will support you in your wishes, I know you are a good man. Everyone will love you.'

I took a deep breath. Will everyone love me? That's not true, I didn't even feel any love from my grandfather and my parents.

"Dwayne."

I looked at the person who spoke from behind me.

"Grandma Irene, why are you still following me? I'll be right back."

"Because someone is looking for you." This is it.

I frowned when I saw a familiar woman standing behind grandma Irene. What is she doing here?

"I'll leave you guys for now, then you can go back to the mansion. Let's eat." Grandma said and left.

"Hi." He greeted me.

"What are you doing here Via?" I asked. It always appears randomly. Where I am he is there.

"Do you want to fall?"

He smiled and hugged me.

"Don't be too strict." I said that's why he relaxed. He was shaking a little. It must be his first time riding a horse. "Don't worry, I can't run fast." I said.

"I trust you." He said.

It took us a few minutes before we got back to the mansion because my horse was running slowly. Grandma Irene came out to meet us, she said she was about to eat.

"Maxene called, she bought you from me." He said to Via. After a while they talked a lot. They became close immediately, that's why after I ate they didn't notice me leave the table and go to the room.

"You are not answering my calls, where are you?" My boss asked to call me.

"I'm at the hacienda, do you have something to do?" I will ask.

"You should be in the office now shouldn't you?"

"I don't have anything to do so I won't go. Don't worry, I'll go tomorrow."

"They need you right now La Torre."

"Fine." I said nothing. I left the room, I looked for Lola Irene, I found her and Via talking, until now they still haven't run out of things to talk about.

"La, I have to go back to the city first. I just have to do something." I said.

"Can you come?" Via asked. "Uhmm because I forgot some notes, I need to get them." It said.

"Alright Dwayne, take him with you." Grandma Irene said. I didn't just speak, I went out first. Via followed me. I was just driving quietly, but the few times he glanced at me with me didn't save me, but I didn't pay attention to that.

When I arrived in the city, I should have gone straight to the office, but first to my brother's condo because I needed to get something from him, while Via went home to them first.

"Is there a problem?" Kendrick asked.

"For a while..." I laughed bitterly. "Wait a minute, what does this mean? Why are you here Fevy?" I asked her again.

"Wait, I'm just confused." Kendrick said and looked at Fevy.

"I-I n-need to go, I can leave n-you first." Shaking, my girlfriend said she was about to go out but I stopped her.

"I'm asking you, what are you doing here?" I asked emphatically.

"She's my girlfriend Dwayne, Fevy is my girlfriend."

"What the fuck! What did you say?" I raised my voice.

"Let me explain." Fevy said and looked at us from side to side.

"Your boyfriend my brother? Is it true Fevy?" I ask here. I'm already clenching my fists.

"What's going on?"

"Fevy is the woman that I'm talking about, my girlfriend." I said emphatically.

Kendrick was stunned. Couldn't believe what he heard. Before I could do anything, I walked out. I want to lose, I want to scream! I want to vent my anger, why my brother?!

I kicked the tire of my car hard, punched the post there twice, luckily no one was there. Because I was not satisfied, I punched the pole again and shouted.

"What happened? Oh my gosh Dwayne!" Via ran to me, holding my hand.

Why is this girl here again?! Did he go home?

"What's going on, why are you so angry? Your hand is bleeding." He said worriedly.

I grabbed my hand. "Why are you here?" I asked.

"I followed you –."

"Again?! Why are you following me?!" I shouted that's why he was surprised and blinked. "Fuck!" I was so cheap that he backed away.

This girl is still keeping up!

"I'm sorry, because I couldn't go home anymore, so I followed you. It's a good thing you didn't get far." Via said weakly.

I took a few deep breaths. I tried to calm myself down.

"W-is there a problem Dwayne?" he asked.

"Many, many problems." I said disgustedly. "What's even better is that you meet with Maxene first, I have somewhere else to go." I said and got into my car. I looked at Via annoyed because she entered. "What the h*ck Via. I'm going somewhere."

"I'll go with you." He says.

What?!

"I'll come even if you don't want to. There's nothing I can do, Maxene can't. They're busy."

"I'm busy too, so don't bother me. Why don't you go home first, I'll call you when we get back to the hacienda."

"Do I have your number?" She asked.

"Nothing."

"So I'll just come, I know you don't want to take my number either. And if you do, you might not call me either. Whether you want it or not, I'll come."

I just didn't speak. I might run out of time with him. I just ignored him while driving. I stopped my car in front of a casino.

"What are we doing here?" Via asked.

"I'm going to do something here. So it's better to stay here in the car, just wait for me."

"No, I won't go inside, I love gambling. I won't be bored watching." He said and led me out of the car. This girl is different.

Via just followed me. I just smiled at those who greeted me. I smirked when I saw the person I wanted to fight, suddenly he was back. It's really good to cheat.

"Victorio Sanchez." I whispered.

"Who will you fight here?" Via whispered to me. I didn't answer him. I walked towards the table where Victorio Sanchez was.

It looked up. It's surprising because it doesn't know me. But I know his character very well.

"The way you look at me looks like you want to fight me." He said. His assistant whispered something here. "DM, you're the famous racer. Are you good?" he asked.

"I'm not good, just smart." I said. If you deserve it, can I play with you?" I asked.

It looked behind me. "Looks like you brought your date with you, what's that, is he the lucky one for you?" This is a question.

I looked at Via who was clinging to my clothes. I just pulled the chair and sat down. I motioned for Via to sit in the chair next to me. I'm going to play first, I'm going to pour out my anger here. I wanted to drink but since Via is here, don't do it. That's why I'm here to investigate.

"Is this a fair game?" I will ask. There are people watching us.

"Of course." Victorio said with a smile.

"No cheating?" I will ask. "There must be no cheating, because if it happens everyone here might know your true identity." I said. I want to laugh at his reaction.

It laughed softly. "Do you mean something? You know me?"

"Who doesn't know a Victorio Sanchez? Let's start." I said smiling. It didn't speak anymore.

I smiled because I won again. I've won three times but my opponent still won't give up. I want to laugh because Victorio seems to disappear at any moment.

"Is it another game?" I will ask. "But it's better not to. It looks like it's running out, but you do." I said.

"Do you think I'm running out of money? One more game!" He said arrogantly but his assistant whispered. He stood up. "Next time we play again, I'll take it back." He said and looked at Via. "Thank you for having luck with you. Without that, you might have lost." He said this and they left.

"Will you bring a lot of money?" Via asked me.

"The money I get from the casino won't go to me." I said. I looked at the people because it was getting messy. The others ran because the police came.

"That's why he left, you're good Victorio." I whispered.

"Dwayne the police are here! We have to leave." Via said.

"So what?" I asked.

"So what?! Seriously?! Do you want to go to jail?" His voice was raised, he grabbed my hand and pulled me. We passed behind.

"Via relax!" I said.

"Relax? How can I relax with the police and sure to catch us and another one– Ayy!" Via screamed because a man pointed a gun at her head.

I raised my two hands because we were surrounded. It is unlikely that the police will come here because we are in a dark place and there are no people yet.

Via was shaking with fear, she was crying. "Who are you? What do you need?" I will ask.

"Someone needs you."

"If you need anything from me, let him go." I said, I was referring to Via.

"We won't let him go until you give us what we need."

"What do you need?"

"The money, give us the money."

I frowned. I let out a breath and laughed softly. Victorio Sanchez is really different! Dirty to play.

"Why don't you tell your boss that he lost so he should just pay me, not that he will take back what he lost."

Via has stayed.

"I'll give it to you if you let him go." I said. "I'm easy to talk to, just follow what I want. Let him go, I promise I'll give you what you want, just promise that no one will get hurt." I said calmly. They all looked at each other but I was surprised because Via bit the man's hand so he got away from it. I immediately attacked the men behind me.

"Behind you!" Via shouted, luckily I kicked it before he hit me with a baseball bat. I took it and hit him, thank him and not in the head.

"Via run." My order

"No! I'll go with you."

"Go away so nothing happens to you." I said while still fighting. Victorio's crew is different!

"I won't leave you here, I won't aa– oh my gosh DM!" He shouted.

I was holding my stomach, why didn't I notice that? I didn't notice that a sharp object had already penetrated me.

I cursed softly, they ran away. Via immediately approached me. "C-come on, we're going to the hospital." He says.

I shook my head. It hurts and I feel dizzy.

"I'll take you to the hospital."

"No." I said firmly. I walked so he supported me. We went to the car.

"How can you drive? You have a wound!" It screamed. He does not know what to do.

I held his shoulder. "I trust you Via." I said weakly. At any moment I will pass out here, but I can't pass out.

"W-what do you mean?"

"You drive." I said.

"What?!"

"Go ahead." I said and got into the car. "You can do it."

I saw his hand shaking when he held the steering wheel, I know he doesn't know how to drive but I have confidence in him, he can do it.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He said crying because he hit the brakes several times. Good thing there are no cars. I just teach him what to do even though I'm getting weak.

I preferred him to take me to my apartment. I will treat myself like before. I don't want to go to the hospital.

"I'll call Maxene."

"No!" I stopped. "Don't ever tell him what happened to me." I said.

"What are we going to do? You should go to the hospital DM. You will be treated there."

"I can heal myself." I said.

"W-what can I help you with?" He asked that's why I ordered him to get everything I needed
