Chapter 3: Despicable Colton

Colton grinned, stretching his hand forward for a shake. "I'm Colton Glenn. May I know your name?" he asked, his eyes glinting with mischief.

"Victoria Blakesley," she told him without any expression on her face, avoiding the handshake as if touching him would melt her resolve. She had never expected her first meeting with Colton to be anything but this.

Colton grinned at her. "Your name's as se*y as you are," he drawled, still holding his hand out for her. "Are you free tonight? I live nearby, " he offered. Victoria fisted her hands to control the urge to slap him. All her feelings for Colton vanished after meeting him. He was really despicable.

"No, I'm never free for the sort of thing you're asking for. A*shole!" said Victoria, whirling around to leave but Colton grabbed her hand to stop her, his interest piqued. The way his eyes glittered dangerously, Victoria was confused. He was something else than what he portrayed to the world. This guy was intensely deep, unfathomable, a dark mystery, the one your mother warned you against always.

"What's the thing you think I'm asking for?" he asked with interest. He was loving this cat-and-mouse game, he was loving to get her all worked up. He wanted to see how she would react to him. He wanted to make a lasting impression on her! He took it up as a challenge to rile her up more so that she lost her composure, and her senses and fell for him!

"You want a good f*ck, right?" said Victoria, rolling her eyes. Colton looked taken aback by her boldness. He hadn't expected her to spell it out for him. He had expected her to become all shy and coy but she was far from that! She was bursting with fury and it sparked a strange fire in him!

"I can see that I'm quite right in my assumptions," said Victoria with a toss of her hair while Colton stared at her with more interest, his gaze drawn to her beautiful blonde hair, the shade of spun gold. Seeing his attention diverted, Victoria twisted her hand out of his grasp.

"You'll give in soon. They all do," shrugged Colton with a smirk and walked towards the kitchen to greet Greta leaving a fuming Victoria behind. Victoria came to her senses and took deep breaths to control herself. She wanted to slap that smirk off his face but then controlled herself at the last minute. She wouldn't let him know that he'd somehow crept under her skin. Now she realized that Colton Glenn wasn't one you should harbor a crush on. Sofia was right! He wasn't meant for her!

She was about to go to her room and remain there, out of Colton's way when Colton and Greta emerged from the kitchen.

"Have you two met, dear?" Greta asked Victoria while Colton hugged Greta from the back and stared at her, his unwavering gaze unnerving her totally.

"Yes, we have. Now I'm glad that bro married Sofia, " he grinned. Victoria gave him a fake grin, baring all her teeth although she wanted to throttle him actually.

"So? What's the big deal? You wouldn't benefit in any way, Colt," pointed out Greta. Colton's eyes widened and he released Greta instantly while Victoria chuckled, loving the support of the kind woman. Served him right!

"Are you seriously supporting her? Oh, come on, Greta, you just met her today but you have known me for ages," he said, clutching at his heart while glancing at Victoria and winking at her! Victoria gasped with shock. She hated such playboys who winked at all females!

"Of course. There's still time. Get on the right track son else no girl will ever marry you," she scolded him. Colton grimaced.

"Who wants to marry? It's so old-fashioned!" he exclaimed.

Greta and Victoria shared a look of disgust. Victoria realized that he really was the biggest tool on earth and she didn't like him at all after meeting him.

She put on a fake smile and endured the drama when Davion came in. Colton grinned every time his eyes fell upon her as if he knew the inner battle that she was facing to control her urges to slap him. Thankfully, Davion whisked him away to some pub and Victoria breathed a sigh of relief. She realized that coming to Sofia's house to meet Colton was a mistake. He wasn't worth the effort she had made. Victoria walked upstairs to Sofia's room. Strangely she had disappeared after Davion called and hadn't made an appearance when Colton arrived, strengthening her belief that something was terribly wrong with her and Davion. Maybe they had a serious misunderstanding!

After that horrible first encounter with Colton, Victoria started having second thoughts about her crush on Colton. He was really an a*shole in the true sense of the term! She didn't want anything to do with him, ever. She decided to talk to Sofia and then leave the next morning.

"Sofi? Where are you?" she asked, walking into her sister's room but Sofia was nowhere around! She looked into the closet but she wasn't there. She opened her en-suite and gasped seeing Sofia lying unconscious on the floor. Panicking, she rushed outside and yelled for Greta.

"Greta, come here quickly," she yelled in panic.

Greta came rushing into the room. "What happened?" she asked, looking extremely frightened. Then looking around she asked, "Where's Sofia?"

"Come quickly, Greta. Sofia's lying unconscious on the bathroom floor," she said, rushing back to the bathroom. Greta hurried after her and they somehow carried Sofia into the room and laid her down on her bed.

"Sofia, wake up. What's wrong with you?" asked Greta, trying to revive Sofia by sprinkling some water onto her face.

"Why didn't you call us if you were feeling ill?" Scolded Greta. "I've been telling you to go to the doctor but you don't listen to me at all," complained Greta.

"Has she been sick for a long time?" asked Victoria.

"No, since last night she's throwing up," said Greta. Sofia at last opened her groggy eyes and looked around.

"What happened?" she croaked weakly.

"You fainted with weakness. I'll get you something to eat. You could have called me if you were still nauseated. I think you need to show a doctor. This isn't any food poisoning. I think you're pregnant, " said Greta. Sofia stared at Greta blankly. Pregnant? How would she tell Davion that she was pregnant when he told her pointedly that he didn't want any children? He would yell at her again when he knew that she didn't take the morning-after pill.

"No, please. I can't be pregnant. This is a stomach bug and it'll go away in a day or two," said Sofia, looking scared and apprehensive.

"No, Sofia. You're coming with me to the doctor," said Victoria, sternly.

"I can't possibly go anywhere," said Sofia weakly.

"We could summon the doctor who lives nearby," suggested Greta.

"Yeah, that'll be great. Why don't you call him? I'm here with Sofi, " Victoria said to Greta. She nodded and went out to call the doctor who lived a few houses down the street.

The doctor arrived in a few minutes and after checking Sofia confirmed that she was indeed pregnant. Sofia was very upset with the news but Greta was very happy. Victoria was a little worried but she didn't show her feelings. She decided to stay on for a few days till Sofia was a little better.

She stroked her twin's hair while Greta went to get her something to eat. "I'll stay to take care of you Sofi. Only after ensuring that you're fit, will I return home," said Victoria. Sofia nodded feeling drained out and devastated by the news of her pregnancy.

"I'll be fine in a few days, Vicky but don't tell mom and dad yet. I want Davion to know about the pregnancy first," said Sofia. Victoria nodded. However, Sofia was unable to announce her pregnancy to Davion as the next morning when she woke up, Davion had already left for work. Later Greta packed him a suitcase as he left for New York for a few days. The misunderstanding between them had already started growing bigger and bigger and Victoria felt a little guilty for interfering with their privacy. Maybe her presence had prevented them from clearing up their misunderstanding.

Later Colton waltzed into Davion's house with the sole wish to see Victoria and get under her skin. There was something about her that made him want to tease her, to break her, to make her surrender to him. He knew that his charms didn't work on her and it riled him up. There wasn't a woman born who was immune to him. Then where did this teenage girl, Victoria Blakesley come from?

He saw her in the kitchen, making some coffee for herself. The shorts that she wore clung to her hips, making them look so hot that he couldn't stop the sinful thoughts from invading his head. He adjusted his pants as he felt himself growing hard and aroused just at the thought of her. The pale pink top looked so flimsy that he could easily rip it off her in one yank. Aroused and smoldering for a taste of her, he walked up to the kitchen counter and picked the mug of steaming coffee up before she could. Victoria whirled around to see him stealing her coffee with a horrid and disgusting smirk on his face. What was he doing here so early in the morning? Didn't he have a home of his own?

"You? When did you come in?" she growled with anger, trying to take her coffee back. Colton grinned and took a sip. He then held out the mug of coffee to Victoria who looked at him with disgust.

"With all my kisses," he said but Victoria stormed out of the kitchen. Colton kept the mug down and followed her out. "I have something important to discuss with you. Will you go out on a date with me?" he asked, catching up with her and blocking her way all of a sudden. Victoria couldn't stop herself and collided with him. Electric tingles coursed through her whole body at the touch and she jumped away, her eyes wide with horror. What was that? She'd never felt this way with anyone before then why with someone as bad as Colton Glenn?

Colton chuckled seeing her response to him. "You can't escape me, " he threatened, his green eyes connecting straight with her warm brown ones.

"Go away, Colton. I don't have anything to discuss with you," she said rudely.
