Naomi smiled seeing the person, she didn't expect to see him anyway, she tried to hide her tears but Shelton saw him.

“You cry again, cry baby,” Shelton said.

"You won't understand and don't call me that," Naomi said slowly.

" Where are you going ? Shelton asked.

"I'm going home," Naomi replied.

"I know you're not well, can I take you home?" Shelton asked.

Noami nodded negatively.

"Please," Shelton said pleadingly.

"It's not worth it, I can go home" said Naomi.

"Okay can I take you out, please don't say no" Shelton said and started to get on her knees, Naomi stopped her immediately.

"Yeah, but I won't stay too long," Naomi replied as she got into the car.

Shelton didn't understand why he was so happy to see her, his worries were already gone.

He got in the car and started it, he looked at Naomi before leaving.

“The food is delicious,” says Naomi.

"Yeah, they're good at cooking," Shelton said smiling.

"Noami, I don't know what's wrong with you, but a beautiful woman like you shouldn't cry all the time, you don't want to get ugly," Shelton said looking at her.

"Thanks, I'd like to go home now, and thanks again for the food," Naomi said.

"Okay, you're welcome, can I drop you off at home?" Shelton asked.

"No" Naomi said sternly.

Naomi chuckled, she was already tired of arguing with him.

"You're so stubborn, alright let's go" Naomi replied smiling.

Naomi saw the sincerity in his eyes, she blushed but hid it.

He paid the bills and left with her.

Shelton stops at Naomi place, the place isn't that big but it's enough for a lady like her.

Naomi opened the car and got out.

"He's so nice, but why am I so free with him, I forget my worries as soon as I see him, uh, maybe it's because he's so jovial, Shelton is a nice guy Naomi said before moving into her home.

"Jasmine is not well, I can feel it, she was so boring today," Lisa said.

"Yeah, I know, something was wrong with her," Andy replied.

"I wonder what happened to her, did something happen between her and Brandon?" Lisa said sipping her wine.

** Night 7 p.m.

Jasmine comes back from the shop, she closed too late because she had a lot of deliveries to make, she had just spoken with Naomi on the phone, she is waiting for a taxi to pass.

She's still on the road, when thugs advance her, showcasing her killer form.

"Hey pretty, you're expecting someone" said one of them.

"I don't have time for you, so fuck you," Jasmine said sternly.

Jasmine wasted no time in slapping him hard, making sure his five fingerprints were on his face.

The guys rush at her and try to take her by force, but she kicks the bottom of one of them, he moans and falls.

The guys pull out their knives trying to scare her, but Jasmine wasn't scared.

She kicked one of them and sent it back.

The guys rush at her again, she has made her way, but slowly they overpower Jasmine.

Brandon comes back from Bella's after having fun, luckily he took this route.

He's seen guys wrestle with a girl, he can be an arrogant and rude playboy and a bully but he hates such a bully.

He accelerated his car and rushed over there, almost knocking over one of the guys.

He came down and Jasmine gasped

" Brandon, what are you doing here? " Jasmine asked.

"What are you doing here too?" Brandon asked facing the guys.

"You're not ashamed of trying to assault a woman," Brandon said.

“Mind your own business, punk,” said one guy among them.

"Get in the car Jasmine, let me take care of these fools," Brandon said.

"No, Brandon, you're going to get yourself in trouble, I don't want you to get hurt because of me," Jasmine said holding his hand.

He looked at her and at the way she held his hand, he smiled before making a stern face.

"Nothing will happen to me," Brandon replied and lashed out at the guys.

Jasmine couldn't believe he could fight so well, he beat the guys up and they started running away.

One of them has snuck up behind Jasmine and is about to stab her but Brandon doesn't take long to notice, he pushes her away and the knife goes through her arm.

"Ahhhh" shouts Brandon.

"Brandon" Jasmine shouted.

Brandon is furious, he punched the guy hard, he sat on top of him and started punching him numerous times in the face.

The guy pushed him away and ran away.

Brandon is bleeding so much that Jasmine ran to him and held him.

"You're bleeding, you're so stubborn, I told you not to get involved in this, now look what you're getting yourself into trying to save me," Jasmine said sincerely.

"You care about me, huh?" Brandon asked looking at her.

Jasmine just looks away, her heart has started racing again.

"I don't care about you bitch, I'm just worried you're hurt because of me," Jasmine replied.

"Really, are you sure?" Brandon asked teasingly.

"You can't be serious for once, you should be worried about how we're going to treat your arm," Jasmine said, frowning.

"That beautiful face doesn't deserve to be frowned upon," Brandon said.

"I hate you, you idiot," Jasmine replied, giving him a stern look.

" Get in the car, let me take you home, I'll get my arm fixed at home. " Brandon said as he started pulling her towards the car.

Jasmine remained silent, she is surprised that he took this risk just because of her, maybe what she heard about him is not true, even though he is arrogant, rude and a playboy, he always has the good side, she looks how he holds her hand and she smiles.

Brandon got in the car with her, he started the car and drove to her house, his shirt is stained with his blood, he feels a lot of pain but he tries not to show it, all the way, they just fly look at each other.

Brandon arrived at Jasmine's house, she got off and stopped near him.

"Go get your dummy arm fixed, see you tomorrow at school bye" Jasmine said.

"Wait" Brandon says and Jasmine stops.

" What? " Jasmine asked.

"You look beautiful" Brandon said and walked away without waiting for her response.

Jasmine smile.

"Did he just say I'm beautiful, it's the first time a guy is going to say I'm beautiful"

"Anyway, there's nothing special."

Jasmine pushed open the door and entered.

Mabel is sleeping on the sofa, she is waiting for Jasmine.

She heard the sound of the door and woke up.

"Mom," Jasmine called.

"Yes baby, are you back?" Mabel answered.

"Yeah, I'm sorry I got home late," Jasmine said hugging Mabel.

"I understand you baby, how was work?" Mabel asked, rubbing her back.

"It was stressful, I'm fucking tired" replied Jasmine.

"Go for a swim, I'll make you some spaghetti," Mabel said.

"Yeah, you're the best mom" Jasmine shouted, she gave her mom a kiss and ran to her room like a kid.

Brandon came home and found Selene sleeping on the couch.

He didn't want her pushing him around with questions, he tried to sneak into his room but Selene woke up and called her name.

"Brandon, what did you think you were doing huh?" Selene asked and Brandon stopped.

"I thought you were asleep," Brandon said avoiding his question.

"What's happening to you? Why are you holding your arm?" Selene asked as she stood up, she noticed he was holding her hand.

"Nothing" said Brandon.

Selene walked over to him and quickly turned him around to face her.

Selene's eyes widened when she saw him bleeding.

"What's happening to you, why are you bleeding?" Selene asked, almost crying.

“Calm down little sister,” Brandon said.

"I should calm down when you're bleeding, tell me what really happened?" Selene asked curiously.

Brandon explains everything to him.

"You got hurt because of Jasmine, you are amazing bro, you hate her and yet you keep saving her," Selene said.

"My meeting with her is by mistake, I couldn't let these guys hurt her, I have to do something," Brandon said.

"You didn't think twice about saving her, what if the knife went through your stomach," Selene asked looking at him.

"At least it's not working, call Doctor Weng, I have to change now" Brandon said and went upstairs.

Selene was there, smiling.

"I pray you find love one day, it's not like you Brandon, your expression shows that you care about Jasmine" Selene said and dialed Doctor Weng's number.
