chapter 2

"Mendez you have a visit." a jail guard told me and at the same time He opened my cell. Hana and I are resting because we just finished doing community service outside. I fixed myself first and changed into a yellow t-shirt because it is not possible when you go to the Visitor's area without wearing a Detained t-shirt. I knew that Jessie was my visitor, so I didn't ask the stupid watchman because he wouldn't answer properly.

He hasn't been able to visit for three weeks, this is what I want is for them to forget about me because even if we go back and forth I still can't get out of here.

I'm slowly accepting it because it's necessary, I don't want to hope because I have nothing to hope for.

I went out and headed to the visitors area, I was surprised because Jessie wasn't there so I stopped and looked for her.

I frowned because even Jessie's Shadow was not there, maybe the Jail guard just tripped me up so they couldn't do anything about their Life.

I was about to go back to my cell when I noticed someone familiar to me, he had his back turned so He hadn't seen me yet. Couldn't he be my visitor? But why? Why is he here? My mind asked.

A Jail guard came up to me, he's good and kind with a heart. He knows the grievances of prisons, not because everyone is bad, but others look at us as non-human, even though we have no fault. The reason is because they found him guilty and you say he is innocent.

" Mendez, He is your visitor." he said and pointed to the person I didn't expect to visit me.

I don't seem to want to approach him, maybe he went to the wrong place or visited but I was the one called by the Jail Guard and this guard just tripped.

"Don't stand there, go first, those special visitors don't need urgent time." He smiled and said to me and He pushed me to take just steps towards him.

It was as if I was short of breath, when my knees went soft, so I took a deep breath first, why is he here? I asked again in my mind. My feet were heavy when I approached him, I first looked at the kind Jail guard but He just nodded at me.

"Come what may." I said before I approached him. I swallowed three times before calling him by his last name.

"Mr. Sebastian?" I call him formally.

He turned and looked at me seriously, making me even more nervous. Why he's cold Amber eyes that seem terrifying, This is what I'm saying e.

"Have a seat." he said seriously so I immediately sat in front of him. I just bowed and played with my nails. While I was waiting for what he would say to me.

"I am here to talk about your case." He said so I looked up at him and our eyes met.

"I'm sorry for what happened, I didn't mean to disturb you." I said to him first.

"Forgot the disturbing things Anya, Im here to discuss your case. Not anything else or nothing else." he said seriously and still looking into my eyes.

"Your friend talked to me, He asked me for help, that's why I'm here now in front of you. Now tell everything. I'll listen to you for your case." he said to me and sat down complacently

"Jessie Really is." I said and scratched my head.

"I don't know where to start." I answered him and held both of his hands. I want to be free but what am I going to do when you, Sebastian, are my enemy. Maybe when I get out, it's less than twenty-four hours. I'm in jail again, I just said in my mind.

"You want to be free, right? Then this is the right time to open up your side, I'll listen. It's time for Anya first because when I change my mind, I won't help you anymore, I'll just stare at each other here." he offered me so quickly I also spoke. Even though I know these are special visitors. I need everything explained so I can be free. But I'm still afraid of what my life might be like outside of Kong, but it's up to me as long as the important thing is to be free.

"I really want to be free, who else doesn't, I'm tired of repeating the route in the morning, noon, and night. And one more thing, I've been here for a long time, but what else do I have outside of my life, maybe not anymore I can go back to my job, I'm nothing. All my dreams are ruined because of the tragedy that was not my fault." I answered him and wiped my tears. I want to release the resentment in my heart but this is not the right time.

"If only I knew, if only I knew." I said and shook my head at him.

"What is my life here? I'm alive but I'm not existing, I hope I'm the one who dies so I don't have to experience this anymore. This is not what I want in life." I told him more.

"I'm here to help you, don't you worry." he said to me.

"If you just ask me to return the lives of the two people who disappeared because of what happened, I say that I cannot return it to you." I said too.

"like i said im here to help you, I didn't come here to ask. I will help you free Anya. My son is not here he is in the State now for his studies, I know my two children Anya. Tragedy is not the reason for me why are you here now but you hit his Ego." he said to me.

"It's good that I visited my son's house and I saw your best friend there, I talked to my guard why he was there and he said that Noah has not faced him since then. I don't know what happened why you have reached this point ." he spoke sadly to me so I bowed down.

"I'm the one who confronts Jessie and she tells me everything." he added.

"I know you were gone before he became your cousin's girlfriend, but the question is why?" he asked me. So I nodded.

"I don't want to break up but he doesn't want me." I said too.

"I have my power to Dismissed you, but if you haven't gotten out and my Son Anya comes back, I won't be able to help you because he will take my place. So you just cooperate with me now. I'll take care of my son, don't that's the concern." He is serious about what he says to me.

"I was shocked by what my son did to you, and I'm the one apologizing to you. I don't know why you have reached this point, you two can just talk about it." he said to me.

"Now that I know what your case is, I'll file Parole for your Dismissal, and when you're free, don't show Noah, because you might go back to jail. I can't help you anymore." he said to me so I nodded.

"I have to go Anya, Don't lose hope. Just hold on, just fight." He said goodbye to me and stood up. I can't move because I feel like he can help me. I am very grateful to him. I blinked because the tears were about to fall, I didn't realize that he was no longer in front of me.

"Judge Sebastian?" I called him and ran to him and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you so much Uncle Lorenzo, thank you for accepting me as a part of your Family before." I thanked him and buried my face in his chest.

He let me sit and I also felt him hug me back, it made me feel better. That someone believed in you, when I knew I was okay, I was the one who voluntarily let go of the hug. He smiled at me and looked into my eyes. So I smiled.

His Amber eyes like his son, if only his son Noah was his age they would be mistaken for twins. Also his daughter whom I have never seen in person, I only saw in the picture because she is in Spain now.

"You already knew that I wanted you for Noah, You are a part of the family even though you and my son are gone." he said to me and ruffled my hair. Until he left and I went back to my cell.

I changed into a T-shirt and sat on my bed, knowing that I was still smiling.

"When can you go out Hana?" I asked Hana who was reading the word of God.

This is the important thing here when you are in prison, you can talk God and read his word and share his word to your fellow prisoners. Except for Community services, my bible service is also when M-W-F-S even if the time is minimal, at least the word of God is taken to heart.

"If you can get out," he replied in a whisper but I heard it.

"What?" I asked him.

"I said soon." he also said to me with a smile.

"I hope I can get out," I said to him and lay down.

"Don't lose hope we can get out of here too." he answered me before he closed what he was reading and adjusted it and lay down next to me.

"Stand in faith even if you're having the hardest time in life. God is with you." we said and arranged the bed later he fell asleep.
