"You're joking." I felt a lump forming in my throat, and a constant stabbing in my chest. "Please tell me you're joking, Jimin."
It doesn't take too long for him to realize that my eyes were stinging with tears that threatened to fall. An obvious panick resides in his expression, and he pulls me closer to his body. "No, Yona. You've got this wrong. I'm not marrying anyone." he explains in a haste, his arms trapping me tightly. "I don't want to..."
"Why are you keeping me here then? Am I really just a toy for you afterall?" I pushed away his strong grip, trying my best to hold back tears. I already knew. There was no way someone out of my league would harbour any sort of affection for me. It was all just a happy dream that I've created for myself — a magical place where someone I loved honestly loved me back.
But I could never forget the the look in his eyes as he gazed at me, studying every single movement I made. I could never forget the way he held me in his arms, his cold touches that always send my heart into an overdrive. I couldn't.
"Wait, Yona." he calls for me desperately, interlocking his hands with mine. "I'm...... I'm going to tell my dad that I have a lover."
"A lover...?" I turned my gaze towards Jimin, who nods slowly at my words. He brushes his fingers against my hair softly, coming closer to plant a kiss on my forehead. "I want you to be my woman." he whispers against my ear, and it sends tingles down my neck. "So give yourself to me."
"W-what about your marriage interview?" I asked, my mind clearly going blank. Upon hearing my question, a smirk appears on his lips. "Why do you think I asked you for hickies?" he kisses me playfully on the lips, before loosening his tie to expose the marks I made.
"You know, Yona....if you are so worried about this, you can just come with me." he proposes, much to my surprise. Jimin doesn't wait to hear my reply, and immediately hoisted me up into his arms. He makes grand exit out of the room, rendering the attendants outside and including me, absolutely speechless.
"Prepare her dress. She's going to the cruise with me." He instructed to a nearby attendant, the smirk still plastered onto his face. "Oh, and get the VIP for her...because my baby deserves the best."
…………
"Mr Park...." I tugged on his sleeves, averting my eyes away from him. "Please stop staring."
"Why not?" the smirk on his face grew wider at my request. I was fully distracted by how ethereally handsome he looked in his Chanel suit, that the seconds which ticked by became agonizingly painful. It was hard not to stare. And now that he's checking me out, it becomes even harder to not turn my eyes on him.
Fortunately, I was saved by the chauffeur who informed us that we had reached the location. The view outside my window was of the unknown — a bay of yellow lights reflected against the ebbs of the tide, various yachts lined up on the dock next to a parade filled with people of high society. This unknown, undeniably beautiful sight was part of Jimin's world. A world of fame and riches.
"It's alright, I'm here with you." He wraps an arm securely around my waist, and placed my head gently against his chest. Just the feeling of his touch on my body calmed me down drastically, and it almost seemed like he knew. Jimin pulls me close, walking ahead to the entrance of the luxurious cruise that was filled with an array of music and party life.
"Don't leave my side." he mumbles softly into my ear, the grip of his hands tightening against mine. But before I could even nod in reply, another pair of hands teared us apart.
"Jimin." a beautiful lady sends him a sweet smile, holding his wrist gently.
"...My fiancé."
