Chapter 7

I turned back to see who it was?

" I don't know this person," I said walking close to him.

"Hey, I've been calling you didn't you hear me?," he said.

" Please, who are you? I don't remember seeing your face anywhere around," I said.

"Oh sorry, my bad! ," he said scratching his forehead.

"Hi, my name is Simon woods, what is yours, "he said, as he brought out his hand to shake me.

"Am Ashlyn shor ," I said and exchanged pleasantries with him.

I wanted to walk away but when he stopped me. What now? I was never good at starting conversations.

"Wait, " he said gripping my hands from behind.

" Are you new here? You look awesome and pretty, " he said smiling brightly at me.

"Thanks, " I said with a bright smile.

" See you around," he said with a smile and left.

Awww... He was quite a nice guy. Good discipline and better etiquettes.

I went out to the canteen outside the company.

I wasn't going to buy anything, why would I? I just missed free breakfast.

I sat down for a while , before I thought to myself I need to go back in.

I went back to the office, it was empty.It seemed like they were gone.

I didn't see him again ,through out the whole day, so I just completed my work of yesterday.

After work, I went to my aunt's house . Today, I was so early. So, I guess I am out of her bad side today. She might not about at me.

I knocked on the door and my little cousin came and opened the door.

"Oh! You're here, " he said and turned back and shouted," Mom, Ashlyn is back. "

My aunt came out and said, "You're here, again. Go back..... I don't want you here anymore," she yelled at me.

"Aunt , what have I ever done, that you hate me so much, " I said furrowing my brows.

"Goooo........ you're now working and you can now feed yourself, haven't I tried enough?," she said.

"Aunty ,please what do you want? ,"I said with tears foaming in my eyes.

" If you want to stay in my house, you have to give me your monthly earning and all of it, " she said.

I thought for a while even if she suffered me all this years , I still stayed at her house, am supposed to at least give her something!

and now half of my salary is not mine until I pay the money for the damage I caused to my bosses car and the other half and I have to give my mom some to assist my younger ones.

I can only give you quarter of it. I did not consider my self.

"What happened to the full salary?," she shouted.

" I have to give mother some, " I said.

"Which mother the mother that left you for me to train or which mother?, " she shouted sarcastically.

"No, I don't want quarter of your salary. Just give me the full salary or leave,"she declared.

I could never do that, plus half of my salary wasn't mine. I decided to leave her house I went inside ,my uncle was sitting in the living room, he pretended like he wasn't seeing me.

I packed all my bags and I walked to where my aunty was, and I said ," Thank you ma ,for all these years," and then carried my luggage and walked out of the house.
