Ch. 5
chapter 5
How could my simple life with my grandmother in the mountains suddenly disappear like a bubble? With so many women living in the world, why am I the one facing this situation?
a situation I never thought would happen in my entire life.
As if I were burned by what the man named Zen said, I almost crawled backwards the moment he let go of my hand. Why did I let myself react so strangely? Why did I let my emotions flow from his warm lips to my skin? Why did I let myself lose my senses the moment I saw my blood running down my perfectly shaped lips? Fuck.
What is happening to my body? Is it true that I am one of them? When he tried to reach me again, I tried to retreat. I couldn't understand what I saw in his eyes when I pulled back again.
"Zen, it's better not to surprise her with events." I knew it was his majesty's voice.
"The council witnessed how her eyes glow. The whole imperial court of Parsua is convinced that she's our deity from the other world." What is the woman saying?
"I think this is enough," His Majesty said coldly. All the fire went out in every burn around us, and the light came back on. I can only see the eight siblings; there is no trace of the others.
Vampires just disappeared as if their presence were absent in the earlier darkness.
"I'd better talk to her first. You can't explain it well, Zen, because you might just bite each other." The woman who was closer to me earlier stood up again and started to approach me. I remained motionless in my position. What will happen to me when I go back to Grandma? How do I tell him I'm a vampire? What the fuck?
"Claret, let's go; those are hard to talk to." The woman extended her hand to me. Even though I doubted myself, I reached out my hand to her. I didn't want 'Zen' to come near me because my body didn't react well to him.
"Lily, please explain to her properly." I saw Lily's struggle with Zen's words.
"Come on, Zen, I'm not used to you being like that," Lily said, laughing.
"We're also Lily; we're going with you." My eyes couldn't catch the rapid approach of the twins to Lily and me.
"Okay, our family tree is too long. I need back up," the twins pushed me to get out of this huge room while Lily followed us.
When we got back to the room I came from, I immediately sat down as if weak. Why did I feel Zen bite me now?
"Is this room Zen's?" I asked Lily, who was already sitting next to me. Even the twins were like that too.
staring at me intently.
"Yes," Lily answered quickly.
"It's really surprising; I saw her eyes turn red when Zen bit her. Why aren't her fangs yet? I can't even feel her strength. "She's still human," the girl said, coming closer to me to examine me more. While the boy remained silent in a corner.
"There is also a change in her; she has mirrored when she was still human. She also has short hair," the girl said, nodding at her.
"Let me introduce myself, Harper Esmeralda Gazellian. Nice to meet you, our deity." I was surprised when the girl touched my hand and kissed it. I didn't notice that her twin was holding one of my hands; she kissed it as well as his twin.
"Casper Lancelot Gazellian, how are you?" The boy smiled at me, which I thought he couldn't do. If you look at it, it looks like these twins are only about eight to nine years old.
"Maybe you know me again? Just put an Esmeralda Gazellian on mine," Lily said, laughing.
"Wait, why are you introducing yourself to me? I have nothing to do with you; take me back to where I was before. I'm not a vampire." I shook my head at them. I didn't want to embrace the life they were introducing me to.
"You have vampire blood, Claret; you're not a pure human. I'm still wondering why it wasn't explained to you. Everything is Olivia's. That's why we're the ones who have a hard time relaxing." Lily took out a huge map from the drawer of Zen's side table.
It lay on the bed with the old map that I could no longer see properly because of its obsolescence.
"You can ask later, Claret, about your history. I'd better explain why you're here first." My eyes widened when I saw the small knife Lily was holding. Without saying a word, she sliced the middle of her hand. She dripped her own blood onto the blurry map, and her blood voluntarily followed every line of the map.
"This world is divided into five empires, and each of these empires is divided into kingdoms. I'm not going to explain to you the entirety of the remaining four empires; I'd rather you focus on the empire you're in now. You are in the empire of 'Parsua," where it is divided into four kingdoms. Parsua Sartorias, Parsua Avalon, Parsua Deltora, and Parsua Trafadore You are currently in the kingdom of 'Parsua Sartorias," where you will meet the family of Gazellians. That's us. " I feel like my world spins around the length of what she's saying as he points on the map where the places he's talking about are.
"I can't understand," I said, confused.
"Lily, I'll explain it to her," Harper interjected.
"Don't think about the empires Lily is talking about. Just like this, you are in 'Parsua," which is divided into four. Of course, our kingdom is in Parsua and is called"
"This is Parsua Sartorias, and the ruler of this whole kingdom is our family." I nodded at Harper's brief explanation. Lily just nodded at her brother's explanation.
"Go on, Harper; it's up to you to explain." Harper just nodded.
"In every hundredth year of the empire, four men destined to marry mortal women who grew up in the other world were born. In our kingdom, Zen had the mark. Only select men had it, and his skin was a spade. That's you, isn't it? You must be playing cards, aren't you? That's four, isn't it? Spade, club, heart, and diamond." I was stunned by what Harper said.
"Spade? This is the design of the mirror in our bathroom! I'm sure that mirror is here too. I need to go back; I'm not the mortal you're looking for," I begged. They both shook their heads at what I said.
"Zen has hidden the mirror, Claret; you can't go back." Harper's words warmed my blood.
"He doesn't own me! No one owns me!" I yelled at them.
"Accept it, Claret; the whole kingdom of Parsua Sartorias needs you. The kingdom will be more stable when your presence is here. You're not just an ordinary vampire. Claret, the moment the blood of four women from the other world comes together, you can do whatever you want. You four girls are the power of the entire empire. You can't."
"Run it." This conversation is getting deeper and deeper. and I can't wait any longer.
"I don't want this. I don't want this." My tears are starting to flow again. I don't want to live in the dark; I don't want to live drinking blood. Damn, I'd rather die.
"It's hard for her to explain Lily; wouldn't it be better for Leon to talk to her?" Leon? My grandfather's name
"Better yet, I'll just tell Zen to accompany him to Leon tomorrow," Lily answered.
"Wait, who is Leon?" I asked them.
"The most trusted council in Parsua Sartoria's imperial court is Leon Doyle; he's your grandfather, right?" My grandfather has been dead for a long time.
"He's dead; I don't know the Leon you're talking about." They shrugged at what I said.
"Do you have anything else to ask? "We're going out." Harper asked me.
"Can I go back to before?" I asked skeptically.
"Not anymore," said Casper, who answered me.
"Then, I still have some questions. Why is Zen chained if you are in charge here?" Why did you say he was going to die when you picked me up?" I asked seriously.
"He is chained because he has victimized many women in the entire territory of Parsua Sardorias, countless women who have been bitten by Zen. And most of them were killed by him because of the blood he needed." I stuttered at what Lily said. Shit.
Maybe I can imitate the women he bites.
"Shh, Lily. Zen will be angry with you; you're slandering him with Claret. Your story is wrong again. That's how it was, Claret, when you turned seventeen. This is the day when we will know which man in the kingdom is meant for you. When the mark appeared on Zen, it was here that he began to thirst for your blood. Unfortunately, you can't cross over into this world until you're of age, and Zen is waiting for you to turn eighteen. It's like he's crazy about finding blood that can cure his thirst. Because the whole kingdom is affected by his thirst for you, it was decided to chain him first. We just send him blood under this castle when we know he really needs to drink." I didn't respond to Harper's long explanation for a few minutes before I found something to say again.
"Why didn't he look like he was waiting for blood when I came? He mistook me for a prostitute who would strip in front of him." I didn't know why I asked this. damn
"Lily and I don't know anything about that. Maybe Caleb and Evan have a plan for that thing. You know boys and their fangs," laughed Harper.
"Look what happened to him? Zen is strong; I really thought that vampire was going to die. If only you could see how he moaned and begged us that he was going to die: "Find Claret, "I'm dying," 'I need her blood," 'Find her," 'I'm dying," 'I'm dying," ' Just kill me; I can't wait any longer." "Kill me." 'I need her blood." Knowing Zen is exaggerated if he begs us But you will be pitied. "He's like a dying fool," Lily said, laughing.
"Damn, why didn't I see that?" Casper said it seriously.
"I was crying and laughing; your majesty had mercy on my brother, so Caleb pulled me. Oh well, okay, Caleb and I also panicked." I wanted to cry at what Lily was saying. Because of my age, she and Caleb were the ones who brought me here.
I can't stop staring at Lily now. She is different from the girl who picked me up.
"What?" she asked me, noticing that I was staring at her.
"You're different from Lily before," I just answered.
"Yes, that was a desperate Lily. We are talking about Zen's life, Claret's life, and our brother's life, so we rushed to get you. I am also reminding you. We're not typical vampires, like the ones you see in his world. We're not cold-blooded creatures; Gazellians know the value of family. And we only do what we know is good for each other," Lily said seriously, which I didn't expect.
"You are good for Zen; you are good for this kingdom. Don't even think about running away because you are here for as long as you live. Your purpose is to live with our brother for the rest of your life," Harper continued.
which I cannot accept.
"My purpose? Be his food!" I replied fatly.
I didn't catch the incident anymore; I only felt pain from Lily's slap on my cheek. I remain without reaction to what he did. Why? Did I say something wrong?
"You'll never be his food. He's longing for you because you are his mate! Zen has been waiting for you for a long time! My brother waited for you, and then you pushed him away? That's how you talk to him?" Did I tell him to wait for me? Am I not just food for him?
"I don't want to be here anymore," Casper complained. They all quickly went to the door.
"Do you know what Zen did to you earlier? It wasn't just a bite; it was a vampire kiss. Zen claimed you in front of the most powerful vampire in this whole kingdom. Say it again? Are you really hungry?" Lily asked me angrily.
"No denying a Gazellian, Claret," Harper said with a shake.
They were like winds and suddenly disappeared from my sight. I just lay down again and started crying. I don't want anymore. While I was crying, I immediately felt someone sit on the bed.
"Claret.." I already know this voice. With just his voice, my whole body system is in turmoil. It seems like it wants to be completely under him. Fuck. I got up, and I couldn't look directly at him. Am I in lust with him?
"Zen.." I couldn't scream anymore as he quickly turned me around and locked me in his arms. I hit him softly. I cannot understand myself.
"I'm disgusted; I'm disgusted with you. I'm disgusted with myself. What have you done to me, Zen? I'm angry with you because you made me like this. But..but..fuck! What did you do to me? Your fangs are addictive, Zen. Please bite me again."
