Britney's POV.

My heart raced as a deep and fearful voice sounded right behind me, "Get on your knees, You are standing before the elders of the pack!!" I could feel the tension building up inside me, as I realised the gravity of the situation.

As I turned around, the voice sounded so familiar, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.

"Liam?" I exclaimed softly, my voice filled with both fear and hope.

He had promised to stand by me this time, to make it up to me, but here he was, glaring at me with a cold and ruthless expression.

His eyes seemed to burn with a fire that could consume everything in its path.

"Get the fuck on your knees, Britney Williams!!" He roared, his voice so loud that it echoed in my ears.

The veins on his neck and forehead were visible, as if they were about to burst out of his skin.

It was then that I realised the true meaning of fear, and the price I had to pay for my mistakes.

I could only hope that I would survive this ordeal, and come out stronger on the other side.

My legs shook or trembled uncontrollably as I fell to the ground, desperately wishing for my life to be spared.

I could feel the weight of Liam's stare on me, and I knew that this was going to be the worst day of my life in the pack.

I cursed myself for ever getting married to him, for ever being taken in by his pack members.

If only I had stayed away, if only I had never met him after Noah broke my heart, then maybe I wouldn't be facing this fate.

But it was all Noah Lex's fault. If he hadn't bitten me too, then I would still be a weak human, living my life in blissful ignorance.

Instead, I had to fight for my life, and for everything I had worked so hard to achieve.

Liam walked past me, his eyes cold and unforgiving, and sat down on the couch next to his mother.

I couldn't help but notice the way he looked at her, with such reverence and devotion. It was as if he was still a mommy's boy, even at such an old age.

He refused to look at me, as if I was nothing but a stain on his perfect life. It was then that I realised that he was still being controlled by his mother, even after all these years.

As I tried to process this fact, I felt a strong grip on my shoulder, and a sharp pang shot through my body. "Ahhh!!" I moaned, turning to see who was hurting me.

"You've brought shame to the Pack Britney, you've brought shame to the Michelson family!!" he spat, his voice dripping with anger and contempt.

It was one of the elders and judging from his looks, he looked like the Pack's evil wizard.

"I didn't do anything!! If Liam had just…" I tried to explain, but his grip on my shoulder tightened, and I could feel his claws digging into my skin.

Tears streamed down my face as I realised that I was alone in this fight. No one would stand up for me, no one would believe me. I was just a pawn in their game, a sacrifice to their twisted sense of honour.

As the pain grew unbearable, I closed my eyes and prayed for it to be over. But deep down, I knew that this was only the beginning of my nightmare.

The pain was excruciating, and I couldn't take it anymore. "Ahhhhh!! Stop!!" I screamed, my eyes squeezed shut, my heart beating faster than ever before.

I could feel his sharp claws digging into my flesh, and I tried to pull his hand off my shoulder. But before I could, he delivered a hard slap to my face, sending me reeling backwards.

"Fuck!!! Ahhhh!!" I cried out in agony, my hand pressed against my burning cheek.

"How dare you touch the hand of an elder!!?" the second elder roared, his voice echoing through the room.

I looked up at him, tears streaming down my face. My eyes were red and swollen, and I felt utterly helpless. I had never felt so alone in my life before.

'Noah would have never allowed anyone to treat me this way if I had married him.' I said Inwardly, my eyes closing up.

I turned to Liam, hoping he would intervene and put an end to this madness. But he remained silent, his gaze fixed on the ground. He didn't even look at me, and it was as if I didn't exist.

"Liam?" I called out again, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Don't you dare call him!" his mother spat, her face twisted in a vile smirk. "You can never fit in as Luna, and with that…"

She stood up from her seat, her eyes glinting with malice.

"I declare Britney Williams the Alpha's slave. She will never be his Luna, but his slave to serve him!"

Her words hit me like a ton of bricks, and tears streamed down my face. I had never felt so humiliated and degraded in my life.

I had married Liam in the hope of a better life, but it had all been a lie. All I felt now was regret, pain, and sorrow.

"He couldn't even protect me" I mumbled to myself, sniffling like a little kid.

At that point, I looked at him one more time and this time, our eyes met. I could see the guilt he felt inside but that was never going to mean a thing to me, after all he could have stopped them from humiliating his wife.

"I'll make you beg to have me" I mumbled, Liam reading every single word that escaped my lips.

"Hello Elders!" I turned to the door after hearing a tiny like feminine voice and there she was, a lady with a stunning appearance who looked like she had escaped the moon goddess' grip.

"Who is she?" Liam asked, turning to his mom in confusion.

"What do you think, Liam? She's the new Luna. The one who would take over from Britney the insane Luna!!" She announced, a halved smile curling up on her lips.

I couldn't believe my ears. Another Luna? Replacing me just like that? My heart felt heavy as I watched the woman make her way towards us with such poise and confidence.

I couldn't help but feel envious of her, envying the fact that she was going to be loved and respected by the pack. Something that I had longed for but never got from Liam or his family.

I turned to Liam, hoping to see some remorse in his eyes but all I saw was confusion and disbelief. It was clear that he had no idea about this new Luna and that made me feel even more worthless.

Tears streamed down my face as I realised that this was it. My time as Luna was over and I was just a mere slave. A nobody in this pack.

The lady was so cute and she left me dumbfounded. I was going to stand and walk away but then, Liam spoke.

"I can't accept her! She can never be my Luna!!" Liam proclaimed without hesitation.

"And.. what is that supposed to mean, Liam!?" His mother questioned, probably shocked that he objected to her choice.

"My Luna just got rejected by the pack so I need sometime alone before I get a new fuck mate!" He stood up and walked out on his mother.

Everyone was shocked, including me who never believed that Liam could reject an offer made by his mother.

He was expected to embrace the offer but yet, he rejected her instantly without looking back. Why? I thought to myself, trying to forgive him.

But on second thought, he had the right and ability to warn the elders to stay away from me but he didn't, meaning he knew what he was doing.

My heart raged in anger and I wasn't even sure about what was happening around me again.

As I clenched my fingers on my dress, I made up my mind. "I must attend the party!"

It was time to go back to Noah Lex, it was time to have mad fun sex.
