Chapter 6

It's really early for me to be in my office but I couldn't make myself sleep for more than three hours. So I thought why not finish my work as I have piles of files waiting for my attention. It's not because I laid back or something, it's simply because my pack is really big with almost a thousand people (897 to be exact). Yeah, we are like a town. So there is a lot of work to do. I can't abandon my pack for any reason. And I would need a lot of free time to find a mate.

I mind linked Jay to meet me in the office. After 20 minutes he walked in. " You are late" I scold him.

"Yeah, cause people usually sleep at this time. You know it's 7 in the morning. By the way how long have you been here? " He asked giving me a concerned look.

"Since 5. But that's not the point. I called you here for work. " I said.

He sighed, " What work Eddy? "

"I want you to tell Kyle that I will check on the first batch of the female warriors. " I told him.

" Don't you think it's a little early for that," he said.

" They have been practicing for almost a year. It's more than enough. " I countered back " When I could do that without even proper training they could do that with a year training."

" Your case is different. " He said .

"Yes of course my case is different. I didn't have a choice because all of you guys thought of me as a perfect person to practice everything you learn from your training. " I said looking accusingly at him.

" We thought you would be perfect target to boost our ego. " He said while looking anywhere but me. Listening this causes Flicker to growl at him. When he heard me growl he put his hands up in surrender and said, " Hey but you proved us wrong and beat the shit out of us whenever we tried anything. "

" Which you did many times. Sometimes I wonder why the hell I spend time with you guys. " I said faking to be in deep thinking.

" Because you love us, " Jay said with a smug expression.

I rolled my eyes at him and said, " So tell Kyle I will check their training tomorrow. Oh, I want Tyler to give me stats on patrolling. And I want you to go check on the hotels, I heard something came up there. "

" If I didn't know better I would have thought that you are trying to free your schedule of a week in a day. But... " He paused and looked at me, "But I will make sure everything is done. Afterall your wish is my command. " He said quickly doing a dramatic bow.

" Good and Jay stop spending time with Tyler. We cannot handle one more of him. " I said as he was exiting the office.

Now all I need to do is figure out where to start looking. How difficult could it be to find one person in this big city. " Say that again with a little more confident and I will believe you," said Flicker. You know it's not that easy right.

" What are you talking about finding a mate or finding confidence. Cause I will kick your ass in either cause," she said. Please tell me how are you going to do that we are basically the same person remember.

"Edena Crescent Black focuses on what's important. " She literally screamed in my head giving me a headache. Rolling my eyes at her I told her what I was planning to do, " We saw him in the mall so assuming that he must live nearby. I will look in a radius of 10 miles. Check-in schools or something. And if didn't find him there I will extend my radius.

Flicker chirped in my head, " Let's start mission Finding mate".
