It took everything in me not to barge into her little office and take her down right then and there. It had been a week since she started working for me and I had yet to meet her. I did not want to spook her and lose her again considering how I ended our relationship. It's not one of my proudest moments.....

'' Hello?''

I answered the call clearly irritated which made her hesitant to reply back.

'' If you're not going to speak, I'm hanging up. I am busy.''

Though I had not see her for three weeks due to being busy. I knew that what I had said probably made her scrunch her lip ready to tell me off but surprisingly she did not give me her usual clapback.

'' Sorry but can we meet for lunch today?''

'' Like I said I am very busy.''

'' It will take only thirty minutes of  your-''

I could not hear what she said as Theresa walked into the office with her hand over her tiny bump. This made me smile. Pregnancy suited her.

'' Kel? Kelvin are you there?''

'' Yeah. I'm sorry but I can't.''

'' Kelvin I'm pr-"

''Do yourself a favor and stop calling or texting me. My wife doesn't like it and I sure don't.''

I hung up the phone and blocked all her calls and text messages. I know I was wrong for leading her on but she and I were trying to make us work. Atleast that's what I thought then.

'' Your day dreaming again. Don't deny it because I just took your grandfather's watch and you did not try to fight me.''

'' Guys I'm sorry. I just have a lot in my mind whose turn is it?''

It was Friday night and my friends and I were seated in my game room playing poker and drinking. It was my way of relaxing after the hard week I had. It was made hard by the fact that I had her just right next door to me but could not talk to her or show myself yet. I heard her voice and saw her when she left for work or came into work because I came at the same time as her and watched her leave every afternoon from my door. Making sure to hide myself so she could not see me. She was still as beautiful and sexy as when I first met her.

'' Is this about that girl you brutally dumped six years ago?''

My friend Cole knew about her and the history we had together. He was the only guy here who basically knew everything about my life. The other's only knew what I wanted them to know. Not because they would tell or do anything with the information. I was just a private person who did not like many people in his business.

'' Yes. So I finally found her. Well she found me after I made a post in the newspaper, looking for an assistant.''

'' Wow. God does work in mysterious ways.''

I knew he was just being his sarcastic self but I agreed with him. After a private investigator failed to find her, she found me. He does work in mysterious ways.
