Cora POV
My jaw dropped with disbelief, and I felt my stomach at my throat; my heartbeat increased; he was the one! The stranger!
The one I had a nightstand with is Alex Uncle!?!. An electric spark ran down my body as I took in my lower lips, as my soul almost jumped out of my body.
His gaze was on bore on my skin; He wouldn't stop looking, smiling at me, torturing me with his eyes; his smile was a vat of acid seeping into my skin. His grin went wider and I clashed my thighs together. "But, Uncle," Alex shrugged his shoulder in disagreement, but the intruder in front of me sent him a deadly gaze, the one who could dig him into his early grave.
His lips parted slowly, with a straight face." I own this company, Alex; you don't decide for me." Gasps filled the small room, and I was Standing in the middle of the room, the middle of the stranger and Alex as my jaw almost dropped on the floor.
So he was the one who built the company that Alex told me his family member own it?!?
He owns this huge company?!?. This is impressive and amazing. "Yes, Uncle." he lowered his gaze to the floor, shuddering his shoulder and a smirk lit up the stranger's face.
"So, she is not leaving here," he spoke, his voice heaved with authority, and Alex gave him a slight nod.
"Everyone get back to your position, including you, Alex, and return to your place as a manager." He uttered as his eyes glittered around the office.
His kivi green eyes shone bright around the room and everyone did exactly as he said.
He smiled, showcasing his perfect jawline, which was decorated with perfection, and I gulped hard on the lump that formed in my throat. He sent his hand into his long, thick hair as his finger raked through it.
He snapped me out of my thoughts, and I flinched under his dominant stare. "Have your seat also, Miss Cora." My name felt so real in his mouth, dripping with sweetness, and I nodded my head mutely.
He existed with some bodyguard behind me, his steps were screaming authority.
I sat down and regret skimmed through my body when I remembered the fact that I had a nightstand with my ex-fiancee, Uncle. Thank God he doesn't make it obvious. The night meant nothing to me, and I'm very sure he will feel the same way also.
"I'm not his type and will never be" I whispered under my breath and pulled my hair backward.
A thin smile curls at the corner of my lips as I recall the way he defended me in front of Alex. The way he stood for me made my cheeks flush red.
The phone beside me beeped loudly, and I shook in fright; I picked up the cell phone and placed it on my earlobe. "Meet me in my office right now," he commanded, and I replied with a shaky voice "Alright, sir." Knowing who owns the voice. I flipped up from sit and motioned myself into his office, the CEO's office, the biggest and most powerful room in this company.
Truth to be told, my heart clutched with huge terror, and I managed to drag myself inside; I sent my hand to the doorknob and gathered all the courage I had in me to swing it open, the door went open, and his eyes lit up at me, flickering no emotions in it. His smile had disappeared
He ignored my presence, acting as if I never existed in the room. "You called me sir," my meek voice uttered softly, and he gave me a slight nod, his teeth pressed on his lips as he raised the 40 dollars I gave him.
"$40?!?" He asked and cocked his brows together.
A wave of embarrassment pierced into my skin and I pinned my glare on the tiled floor. Moving fidgety on the spot," Come and take this," his thunderous voice lingered in my head, and my heart skipped a beat as I walked up to him.
He handed over the money to me. "I'm your boss, I don't think I need your peanut change" he added grumpily, which sounds as if he was trying to teasing me or mock me .
"Yes, sir," I said.
His eyes traveled down my body, and he bit into his lips; I looked away from his temping eyes and yanked my hands away from him.
I walked out of his room and took in a deep breath.
Gosh, he is so mean!
