|CHAPTER TWO|

The next day I woke up early. In fact, I only slept for about three hours because of thinking about what happened last night.

I hurried downstairs and was shocked to see Ethan sitting on the sofa watching T.V.

I blinked and stopped.

maybe he noticed me so he looked at me. I could still see his surprise but it immediately disappeared and was replaced by an emotionless face.

He took a deep breath and turned back to what he was watching.

"M-good morning, E-Ethan," I bowed as I greeted him.

"There's nothing better in the morning if I see your face right away." I was surprised by what he said. He had no expression and said it in a cold voice.

I felt a little sorry for myself. It's also my fault that he became like this, so it's only right that he treats me badly.

"I'm hungry. Go cook. I'm leaving tonight at eight. I'll be back the next day."

I nodded. He's always like this. if he goes home, it's just to sleep or maybe he stays for a few hours and leaves again.

But I can't stand this anymore.

I looked at him. "W-where are you going?" I asked in a low voice.

He turned to me with an annoyed look on his face. "What are you doing?"

I hesitated and bowed again.

"P-I'm sorry. S-Okay, I'm going to cook." I said and started walking towards the kitchen to cook.

We were SILENT while eating and only the spoons and forks made noise.

I turned to him. "Ethan? can i go out later There are no more stocks in the refrigerator. It's running out so I'm going to go buy something." I broke the silence between the two of us just to ask for his permission. He might beat me again when he finds out I left the house without his knowledge.

he looked at me. "What time?" he asked.

"Maybe tomorrow at seven." I answered him.

"I'll drop you off, and go shopping with you." I was surprised by what he said.

"I-I thought you were leaving at eight o'clock tonight?" I asked him frowning.

He was mocked and suddenly annoyed. "I'm leaving at eight o'clock. And since you're going to buy it at seven, I'll go with you and go straight to where I'm going. Why? Don't you want me to go with you because you have plans to stay somewhere else?"

I immediately shook my head."It's not like that. I-I'm just surprised, because...it's the first time you're going to accompany me p-shopping since we got married," I explained to him.

I don't know what I did, to really annoy him again now. "Are you saying I'm a useless wife, because I'm just going to go shopping with you right now?" He asked annoyed.

My lips parted. "I-I didn't s-say that, Ethan." I weakly answered him. Maybe because he suddenly slapped me.

"Tsk!" he stood up suddenly and left me at the dining table alone.

I just sighed and continued to eat again.

After I finished eating, I immediately got ready for Ethan and I to leave later.

I even waited a few minutes before he came down the stairs wearing only long sleeves and jeans.

I averted my gaze, so that he wouldn't notice that I was fantasizing about him face to face.

"Let's go." He said and went out of the house first.

I immediately got into his car when he got it ready.

I was silent while observing the houses and buildings we passed when he suddenly spoke.

"I can't take you back to the house later, so I'll just take you to where I assigned." he said in a cold voice and emotionless face.

I turned to him. "Why are you always emotionless when talking to me?" I asked him weakly and looked away again.

he just mumbled and didn't answer me, so I kept quiet again until we got to where we were going.

When he parked the car properly, we immediately went out.

I looked at him as he turned his watch before speaking.

"Faster.you only have 3O minutes to buy what you need." I was stunned. 3O minutes? Seriously?

I immediately took the basket and started taking what I needed at home.

Ethan was separated from me, because he said he had to buy something.

so while I was choosing cans, I was shocked when someone grabbed my shoulder so I immediately looked at the person holding me with an annoyed face.

"Hey chill! It's me, Axel!" Axel said laughing. My workmate before when I was still working in a company.

The annoyance immediately disappeared from my face and I just laughed. "Why are you holding my shoulder right away? I thought who was it!"

He laughed even more, causing his two dimples to appear.

"Oh musta? It's getting hot but you're wearing a jacket. What's wrong?" He asked curiously.

I stopped at his question.

I don't want him to know that I wear this because of the bruises I get when Ethan beats me.

I tried to laugh. "Nothing! I'm just tripping to jack---"

"Who is he?" I stopped talking and suddenly nervously turned to Ethan.

"A-ah Ethan s-siy--" Axel interrupted my speech.

"I'm Axel!"

Ethan was looking at Axel coldly and still emotionless.

If this scene continues, there will definitely be trouble here, so I just asked Ethan and I to leave.

"Uhmm, Axel. he is Ethan.....u-uhm a-my husband. Alright, let's go." I immediately dragged Ethan away from there and paid for my purchases.

"I'll just wait here for the driver you ordered. Thank you for coming with me." I am grateful to Ethan who is now staring at me darkly.

"Who is that? your man?" he asked.

I frowned. "No, Ethan! I used to work with him. We just happened to meet there." I still have reason with him.

He stepped closer to me and cupped your face. "'When I see you together again and talking. I'll break his bones and make sure he can't walk anymore." He threatened and suddenly left in front of me.

I just looked behind him as he continued to walk and gradually disappeared from my sight.

I just turned to the car in front of me now. This must have been what Ethan ordered so I quickly got on board.
